Conte doesn't like England. He's unhappy. It's that simple. Having to respond to the same line of questions in a foreign language multiple times a week has gotten the better of him. He knows he can go and make the same money and be happier elsewhere.

But he won't be happier.
I already know that if he goes to PSG he will say it is impossible to win the CL when the domestic league is off a poor quality.
He wants to win, but he likes to make sure there are enough excuses for him to blame others, like Mou and Wenger.
It still amazes me that the narrative after the Euros was what a great job he did, as opposed to all the poor decisions he made in regards to squad selections and subs. His decisions cost us that Germany game.

By GQman2121 Go To PostThe bargain bin is £200m+ on seven players in the last two windows? Is that the net spend bargain bin?A lot of money was spent in the summer but by all accounts the January targets were B-tier in terms of what you’d expect from Chelsea. Whether that’s a scouting thing, a home-grown thing or a financial thing I don’t know.
It's accurate to say Costa and Matic we're not replaced with comparable talent. It's not accurate to think the owner isn't trying.
But you look at Liverpool and Van Dijk, United and Sanchez, City and Laporte (and Mahrez) and Arsenal’s purchase of Aubameyang and you have to say that it makes for grim reading.
I do think you’re saving some cash back to make these two big contracts, assuming you can get them to sign.
January is January. It's fair to question the talent but they still brought in three players for another £50m.
And with a new manager on the horizon in the summer, January isn't the time to splash or overspend when you won't know how they'll be utilized next year.
I still really like the current squad regardless of how the results have gone this year.

Fuming I’ll be missing the match. Got all of my football done yesterday and will be with family today. Need to sneak off to watch Barcelona this evening but doubt I’ll be able to get to a TV for City.
On the Conte thing, I don’t know if I buy that he dislikes England. I think he dislikes the board above him more than the country itself. Speaking in a foreign tongue is something he’d have to deal with almost anywhere, unless he heads back to Italy.
Also, there’s a video of Silva and Cazorla seeing each other before the final and it’s so heartwarming.

Still cannot believe that Dybala goal. The control on the finish in the position he was in, the nutmeg to start it all, the context of the goal and the impact it went on to have. The guy is as good as it gets.
Jurgen pls

Best thing about it was Allegri's serial killer / dat culo smile after.

i for one am glad there is finally a game that depicts czech history and czech ethincity which rarely happnes in games and if it happens its downright offensive portrayal like it was in Deus Ex Mankind Divided , but i guess we are not "PoC" ethnikum so we are not allowed o be offended by bad portrayal in media (despite being opressed for centuries)
Saw that obesity cancer info ad on a bus stop yesterday. The irony was the obese woman sitting behind the sign.
By flinbad the flailer Go To PostSaw Phantom Thread last night and was underwhelmed. 85%, though, was a mesmerizing film.Underwhelmed by it and Inherent Vice when compared to the rest of his oeuvre.
Wonder if it was another undiagnosed heart issue.
Think both films are brilliant. Give Vice another watch if you haven’t; works much better second time.

By Zabojnik Go To PostWhat's the last time you were overwhelmed? Or even just whelmed. For film specifically, Blade Runner 2049. Very different from Phantom Thread and also flawed, but unexpectedly majestic and successful. I also recently rewatched Babel for the first time in probably a decade and was surprised at how much I still enjoyed it.
I could list several instances from other media and even non-media sources, too. I'm not always disappointed with everything, even if I tend to be quite restrictively impressed.
Babel is the last time in living memory that Inarritu’s pretentiousness didn’t suck all the air out of the room.

This is the lowest ebb Chelsea have been in for years and years, and the Blues should be thankful Wenger and Arsenal are taking most of the focus off their own weak title defence. It seems odd to say that about the current champions, but when was the last time they were 20+ points behind and in 5th? Reminds me of our weak title defences, as though the hunger had dissipated.
I hope this post ages well... 😕

Damn. 31, healthy, has a two year old kid, just extended his contract last week and then just doesn't wake up anymore the day before a match.
Horrific. RIP.

Morning lads. Nothing better than a fucked up dream waking you up at 5 am on a Sunday innit...
RIP Astori. That's just awful and way too young (I'm 31 this year :( )
To me, Babel is peak Iñarritu's and Arriaga's pretentiousness, but that's saying very little from a man who has always fancied himself an ascot wearing tortured artist and a hack writer who fancied himself a director. I guess the most human, diverse performances kinda make for it, but I didn't find it particularly memorable or insightful.
Finally, fuck football

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI don't want to seem heartless, but cancelling all of Serie A seems the wrong decision. This is classy and truly displays compassion by the league. What's another Sunday set of fixtures? A man has died, life is gone :( I bet the players who had to play today would all be affected.

Chambers playing RB and Iwobi in for Ramsey.
Bet the players are loving this they can perform like absolute shite and still get picked.
