p.s. The google image results for "horribly out of touch" are basically nothing but terrible memes. Wtf.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostWhy was Leia left alive at the end anyways? To give Carrie Fisher a proper send-off?Answers in bold.
Why did she use the force to get back? To what purpose bring her back? see above. To give Poe some impetus cos he was being a real asshole up to that point.
How did she even use the force to do do wtf she did? She is as powerful as Luke is, she just hasn't shown it.
Why kill Snoke, he was the most interesting character in the new trilogy Because he wasn't important, Kylo is the most interesting character and is the real villain of the trilogy anyway
"Go away!" - Luke… Wtf was this shit, they made him sound like a fucking brat. He's gotten old and all his friends are dead. Pretty simple m8.
Why was this film so long? Because Rian Johnson wanted it to be?
Rey sucks, does anyone even care for her? Finn/Chewie/maybe Kylo?
Finn… why is he required? I agree that not enough screen time was given to Boyega, which is a shame, but still, he's important.
Captain Phasma was built up and then just dies like that? Ok. She'll be back in the next one
Casino scene.. Why, no really, why? To show Rose and Finn not everything is happy go lucky in their universe
Why/how did Luke die using the force? Literally forcing yourself across the galaxy is going to kill anyone m8
Meh.
All of these questions are already answered or easily guessed to what they were trying to achieve in the film :lol. I really really loved it.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostQuite a few actors from HBO's Rome is in The Terror, that alone for me makes it a must watch.Oh, right. I kept thinking 'the guy from Game of Thrones', but it's really Ceasar from Rome. The pace seems brisker in this, judging from the first two episodes. I'm not familiar with Simmons' book, so I'm not sure if it's because they have to wrap it up in one season (if that's the plan) or what.
Show feels like a natural transition from Black Sails to me, almost.
By Hixx Go To PostThe Leia stuff is absolute bullshit. It's just fucking shit. Why? Is it really that implausible?
You should feel bad for liking it.
leia was alive because episode 9 was supposed to be about her
which is still a terrible idea how about focusing any of these sequels on the new characters

By Meier Go To PostThis is a weird one for me since I listen to a decent amount of rap. I will say that generally speaking, most black people who weigh in on the subject do tend to feel like it's not okay even if you're an ally. I am sure there are plenty of folks who don't mind as well but generally it's frowned upon. Other minorities seem to generally get a pass. When there's so much actual genuine racism in the world it just seems incredibly sad that some people get bent out of shape & cry racism when white people sing along to their favourite rap songs just trying to have a good time. The irony of trying to eradicate racism & striving for equality while at the same time saying "Hey only one race can ever say this word." is totally lost on most of the people complaining.
Sorry Horse, I loved Rogue One personally.
By Freewheelin Go To PostWhy? Is it really that implausible?
Plausibility and Star Wars m8...
It's just a shit scene with a shit resolution. Honestly the only word that I ever want to use for it is shit. I can't stop saying shit when I think of that scene. It's just shit. Christ it even looked shit.
Episode 4-6 are good, I think.
I've not yet seen the "new" movies and I don't really know if I'll ever muster up enough interest or energy to.

I was in genuine disbelief at how boring Rogue One was
Watched the ending on YouTube yesterday. Was basically Deep Impact.

definitely the lowest point of the international games
If Star Wars is on a lower rung of cool than anime for you then you are a disgusting human being and the Geneva Conventions will not save you when I am the one in power.
The woman in deep impact may be the most annoying human in existance, outside of Dakota Fanning in war of the worlds, she was a war on my ears.
Good film though

By sohois Go To PostTLJ might not have been very good, but at least it wasn't Rogue One. Or any of the prequels. Or Force Awakens. Or Return of the Jedi. Or Avengers 2. Or Civil War. Or iron man 2. Or thor 1&2. Or doctor arrange. Or ant man. Or spider man. Or one of those other boring pieces of shit.I haven't seen the prequels in years, but I'd sooner rewatch them than The Last Jedi.
But I'd also rather watch something decent than all of the pop-cultural detritus you have listed there.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostAnime > Star Wars, by far.My partner and I have been rewatching Sailor Moon together. It's the first time either of us has seen it since childhood. That show brings me more genuine, sincere joy than Star Wars has in decades.

We also did something similar with Cardcaptor Sakura and yes, similar feels as Sailor Moon.
Watching anime with my wife usually turns with her continuing while I'm at work, so I wiki the episode summaries to catch up with her instead.

Nice.
The worst thing about that film was Luke. All of a sudden he is a comedian with the one liners and gags. I know a lot of shit has has happened berween ROTJ and this new trilogy, but I just don’t see how Luke could have turned out like that.
The film almost gave us a powerful and wonderful send off to Carrie/Leia, but then pulled a gotcha on us.
The whole Rose/Finn stuff is some of the worst in the medium of film.
The defenders of these films are worse than us prequel defenders. At least I know the prequels were not great with a poor writing and lots of CGI flaws, but at least they were a fun ride for large sections. Defenders of these films ignore the poor writing, the unnecessary comedy, and the lack of any logic in shit because they are simply well made and they feel the characters show growth.
TLJ is the first SW film I have not seen more than once in the cinema and I still don’t know if it is out to buy. I will watch it again, but it will be the SW film I am least interested in during rewatches of the saga.

I rather watch another 100 episodes of Dragonball Super than touch one of the new Star Wars movies. Even with reused animations and a lot of nonsensical fanservice it managed to hype me in a way these new movies didn't.

Omfg yes Cola love the film but she makes Jessica Jones not seem annoying.
I also had a really intense crush on her whenever I first saw the film.
WTF?
Erm...the second half of Rogue one is better than all of TFA.
TLJ is the probably the best one because it breaks everything makes more things possible moving forward, it was daring, imperfect, experimental and most importantly it was BOLD.

I really love the overall aesthetics of Rouge One. Everything looks fantastic.
It's a movie that could have been a lot better if it was darker, and better explained in some parts.

I love Rogue One.
Sure it had a lot of fan service, but it was a fun romp through the SW universe. Also, it gave us the second best scene in SW. can’t complain.
