By Spengo Go To PostImagine Lucas fucking Vazquez being ahead of you in the pecking order for your national team lmao Pedro rep really fell off.I'd argue Vasquez has been one of the best players in 2018 so far.

True GOAT
He's still the GOAT even without a World Cup win. Him & Ronaldo are something else altogether. #Legends
By Scum Go To PostHe's still the GOAT even without a World Cup win. Him & Ronaldo are something else altogether. #LegendsAgreed, but some people still think you need to win a World Cup to be the GOAT, even though he's won practically everything else lol

By Cleff Go To PostAll signs point to a fantastic world cup ledsI’m frothing at the mouth for a scandal like at least a team abandoning the tournament but it’s probably too much to ask.

Afternoon, lads. Have we lost to Chelsea yet?
By Dan Go To PostThere are whiffs of Pep about this England team.
Southgate has defo been on the blower to him.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostNah but that statement was almost as crazy as suggesting 1-1 isn't the best away resultI was just saying that I’d like to see it but I’ll never dispute the 1-1 away result.
In our last 4 games, we have drawn Germany, Brazil & Italy and beat Netherlands, only conceding one goal which was a penalty.
From MEN:
Manchester United are targeting five signings in the summer transfer window as Jose Mourinho prepares to overhaul his squad.
The MEN understands United are still exploring options to replace Luke Shaw at left-back and are in the market for a right-back and a centre-back. United would also prefer to recruit two central midfielders to replace Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini.
United are considering Napoli midfielder Jorginho and Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazil international Fred to replace Carrick and Fellaini.
Shakhtar recently renewed 25-year-old Fred's contract until 2023 in an attempt to obtain a larger fee from his inevitable sale. Jorginho's Napoli deal expires in 2020.
Mourinho is casting his net far and wide and is believed to be ready to assemble an almost entirely new defence amid concerns the current backline is 'unreliable'. United are prepared to bid for Toby Alderweireld, should Tottenham decide to sell him in the summer, as he continues to stall on a new contract. Tottenham could offload Alderweireld ahead of next season rather than risk losing him for the £25million release clause his deal triggers in the summer of 2019.
The MEN has previously reported that United have scouted Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, Tottenham’s Danny Rose and Celtic youngster Tierney with a view to replacing Shaw. Sandro, 27, is believed to be Mourinho’s preferred option and is contracted to Juve until 2020.
Tbh, its unfathomable that Southgate is using foreign tactics to manage England..... first the passports now this?
By FortuneFaded Go To PostIn our last 4 games, we have drawn Germany, Brazil & Italy and beat Netherlands, only conceding one goal which was a penalty.
Two months before Euro 2016 we beat the World Champions at home 3-2.
Two months later we were knocked out by Iceland.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWe also beat the eventual winners just before the tournament.
Exactly
By FortuneFaded Go To PostBut you have to believe Will. You just have to believe.
This is just the natural pre-tournament pessimism, don't worry, when we beat Tunisia 1-0 I'll be all in on Harry lifting the trophy
Everything seems nice now but you just know that Southgate is going to panic and make Hart number 1, then when Kane gets injured for the tournament he'll convince Rooney to come out of retirement and England won't make it from the group stages
I think England might do their first respectable tournament in a while and only lose to one of the main candidates (Brazil/Germany/Spain/France) or to a second tier candidate which is where I place them. But winning, I don’t see it. Still, it’s tourney football, and all you need is a long enough streak. Not even that long, either.
