By W Go To PostWho plays rainbow six in a world of cs.Adults.
Pretty ludicrous response from me considering the average age of Rainbow Six players seems to be about 7.
By Arnie Go To PostAdults.Got a few matches where my teammates decide to have a little battle royale with each other
Not to mention times when they vote kick for fun
This is why I'm playing Battlefield 1.
To be serious though the player count just fucking sucks for Rainbow Six and Battlefront in my region.
At least the Japanese love Battlefield, so there will always be a few populated servers available.

I'm so close to buying R6S, I'm just petrified of the learning curve at this point. I'm not a good loser.

Not a good loser? Get CS then m8, you’ll fit right in with the regular lot

I'm not a screaming-down-the-microphone kind of bad loser. But I may have broken the odd gamepad in the past.

I'm not a good loser. That’s why I like it, because the more you play the more you learn and the better you become. It is very reminiscent of old CS, which I love btw, I just played it to death like 12 years ago and it hasn’t changed since then.
Rainbow Six is also unique from CS, and inherently deeper by design, because the character system and environmental destruction ensure every match plays slightly differently and there are more things to consider at any one time.

m8... don't talk about team savage, as if you are part of it. they will fit in with you, Will.

I had a harder time acclimating to BF1 than Rainbow Six.

If I get it on PC is it at all playable on gamepad compared to kb/m users? Want to see if I can get shorty playing but if being on gamepad fucks you then I prolly won't bother her with it.

This shows your ignorance towards CS, if you think it hasn't changed since 12 years ago. There has been huge changes both to the map pool (and the way the majority are designed), to the weapons and to the way even the match making which was not existing back then works. Hell even the core of the game with movements and game logic has changed greatly. Source was a huge change (for the worst mostly) and go was a big change.
The amount of tactical depth to CS is unrivaled to most other FPS, if you get to a good enough level. This isn't just dropping into a server and fragging for days anymore.

Consider this Wooden. Your team is Chelsea, you are Mourinho.
I am De Bruyne.

Wait for Arnie's opinion on it, since he has played it far longer than me.

It has always been and will always be an incredibly tactical experience. But despite a new doorway placement on Dust or a new way to group people together by ability the core experience, the bulk design of the game, remains the same.

Look, I don’t play it now as I did Source back in the day, but I’ve seen footage and it looks extremely similar. M4 versus AK. Bomb defusal.
I get that you’re invested in it, and it’s an excellent game, but it is still ostensibly Counter Strike which has barely changed in real-terms.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI'm playing on the PS4 though.Don’t use a controller against a mouse for this. It requires reflex, precision movements which a mouse is a thousand times more accurate for.
Wait for Arnie's opinion on it, since he has played it far longer than me.
I play on PS4, so the controller works, but you’d just be demolished against a mouse player.
Would like to believe this Salah stuff but won’t until I see him with a pen in his hand. Give him whatever he wants. £200K and a nice gaff on Formby beach.
Also appears Roma need to sell again to beat FFP. It’ll be an interesting window for keepers. Courtois going to Real. Arsenal and Chelsea will need a new keeper. Could feasibly be Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fighting for Allisson and Oblak.

There are times when I play Siege where it feels like this could be a sequel to CS.
Pity that I had to drop it for now though.

On the one hand, I want a shiny new keeper who is regarded exceptionally highly
On the other, I want Karius to do well enough that we don't have to blow £70m on a keeper. Would be great if we could put that money towards some real quality in CM alongside Naby, another CB to play alongside VVD and some depth in the attacking positions. An injury to any of our front 3, and we don't have anyone reliable to replace them.
Pretty happy with our fullback situation, though Moreno will likely be off in the summer. Shouldn't be too hard to find a second choice leftback though.
Bit peeved that Firmino hasn't signed a new deal yet. Surely we're trying to get it done and have been for a year or so.

I did this special dance thing with my wife, as her partner today for this long routine. She convinced me I was good enough so I got talked into going but it was so hard to keep up I was about ready to walk out half-way through. It’s like trying to memorize an essay in a foreign language. If you don’t know the words you cant remember the sentences correctly. What a day, my body and soul are ruined

The fundamentals are the same, and you still shoot your gun yes. But all the meta and way you actually shoot, move and control economy is hugely changed. If you do not notice this, you probably weren't very deep into it in the first place. Which is fine, but to say it hasn't changed since then is way off, which is what I responded to. But that's also one of the big strengths to CS imo, the basics are so easy to understand, but there's a huge skill ceiling for mastering any of it.

CS just released in China didn't it? ez asian player base.
Trying to log into any online game in the philippines was hilariously sad as well. Not that my internet would actually have allowed it.

I understand exactly how CS plays at a high level, hence why I can appreciate that you’re right in saying it has a higher skill ceiling to pretty much all (popular, not weirdo Steam simulators/mods) shooters currently available.
Doesn’t change my initial point that after playing it for so long and so long ago I want something different. Siege is very similar in a lot of ways; understanding the map and your opponent, when to push and doing so with your team are vital to any form of success. There’s just a range of additional layers in Seige because the map changes drastically, which in turn has a domino effect on everyone playing. And similarly the rock, paper, scissors nature of the characters adds a further layer of choice and variation to the way each round plays. At any one time there’s a lot to think about, as there is in CS, which is why I think the two games are spiritually very similar.
With that variation the game does take some of the success away from pure aiming and movement, though. It is possible to win rounds on Seige simply by holding off the opponent with a series of traps, giving them too little time to properly complete the objective. Similarly on offence one open sightline from a Thermite can completely undermine every bit of defensive organisation. There’s an element of randomness which I understand if you’re dead into CS would feel weird.
That's fair enough, I was mostly weirded out at the no changes comments. As I really think there has been huge changes, even within GO's lifetime.
We get the randomness aspect as well, but in form of how many times two of our teamm8s internet crashes and we suddenly have to play 3v5

that's a true hitch opinion
By W Go To PostThat's fair enough, I was mostly weirded out at the no changes comments. As I really think there has been huge changes, even within GO's lifetime.Sometimes on Seige this becomes a bizarre advantage, as the opposing team become more aggressive knowing they have a numerical advantage. Although a good team against lesser numbers will always prevail.

Pisses me off when it happens though. Also pisses me off that the game doesn’t take any level of performance into account when adjusting ranks post result.

Climbing is so mentality stimulating, especially those that do it free hand on mountains and what not. Imagine have time limited puzzle where if you fail you die.
Agreed with fóruns poster Woodenlung. CS is an incredible fun game to play and watch. Its the perfect team game. The strats the top pro teams do are just incredible.
I find R6S too complicated to be fun to watch.
