Newcastle set up perfectly for the draw or nicking the win. Liverpool gonna need a big mistake from their defense to get something I reckon

The ball bouncing off Gayle? Left Diame behind and that Newcastle defender had to choose between closing off Ox or following Salah.
That Newcastle RB jogging back too.
Fast work from Pool.
By DerZuhälter Go To PostThe first good pass by Dahoud at last.Indeed, but a great one.
I'm really enjoying Toprak/Akanji though, both with passes that actually help the team.

150% for the defender that allowed salah free
By Xpike Go To PostOx is the living proof that it was Wenger all along
I haven't seen Ox too much for Liverpool, including what he has done today, but I always said Ox had the talent needed to be a quality player if he had a manager who actually coached him.
By Ashwinho Go To PostLazio-Juve has a 0-1 win to Juve written all over it.The Juve way.

He does fuck up the pass before it kindly comes back to him, but I do like his direct runs. Defender had to either let him get a shot off or track salah
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostKarius looking good. Did Liverpool change their goalkeeping coach. It's called match practice.

So not the greatest performance, but due to clever management we have the quality needed to get consistent results.

I don't think anyone even remembers but I have defended Ox since long before we signed him. Always thought he had the requisite ability, what he needed was a coach to tell him what to do and when to go.
He's a good fit for Klopp-ball and you can see why with how he plays for Liverpool. He reminds me a bit of Willian in that he's really good at cutting the ball straight into a sprint and turning the defense on their heels. Skips right past the midfield line and puts the defense at a numbers disadvantage.
He isn't a fulcrum type of midfielder, but he does work well in that high pressing role. Probably the best case anyone can make for him playing on the wing is that he's quick and has good delivery, but you can see how he shines when played more toward the center.

Really? I feel they can't handle the tiniest bit of pressure. And Weigl and Dahoud sure as hell ain't helping. Neither by positioning well, nor by finding solutions 1on1. But Akanji did indeed show some nice diagonal long passes.
Seedorf can’t catch a break, the poor man. 1-1 to Deportivo but then a straight red just minutes after.

I have oftern thought his best role would be as a wingback. He is one of those players who is good a lot of things, but doesn't really excel at anything. He isn't a great winger, but his defensive workrate was always good. With the right coach he could be a quality CM or winger, but a great wingback IMO.
By Punished Go To PostHow's Salah looking for the European golden ball?
Off the top of my head. Salah, Kane, Immobile, Cavani. All around 25-22 goals.

Yeah I think Conte wanted him to upgrade on Moses.

edit: how does Messi do it. had no idea he has 23 goals lol
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostYep, should have been a pen, just like the one on Dybala in the first half.
Juventus gets away with all type of crap. It's good that a referee won't allow them to cheat like they usually do.

Would have worked well if Ox bought into the idea, but he just doesn't see himself there.
And TBF, we did buy him a CM
By Shanks D Zoro Go To Postedit: how does Messi do it. had no idea he has 23 goals lolMessi would've/should've had even more. Some glaring misses & highest amount of shots hitting the bar/post.
He's going to rip apart Atleti tomorrow :(

Werner/Augustin are both a threat, but it's not like they're both to blame it was always a failure of Schürrle/Schmelzer/Piszcek so far, that led to dangerous situations.
Weigl and Dahoud are really a weak duo, Dahoud is still far from anywhere safe and you see that his self esteem is on the edge. Weigl on the other hand is playing shit since his injury. Leipzig is doing what they always did, put pressure on our center with Weigl/Dahoud. It already worked against Tuchel when Weigl was in a good form and it works now, so that's not really suprising. That's why I also prefer Akanji/Toprak, because they're both bringing the passes to the wings and to Götze, when neither Weigl or Dahoud is free.
Still, we really need a CDM and CM next season.

I know you are thinking you are baiting me, but that post you quoted from me was that Lazio should have had a pen.
So if anything, we are still cheating as usual :)))
