Which is a shame, the base material is there and that's really a series that can easily compete with the rest of HBOs output.
By Lunatic Go To PostMonster was fucking excellent and I don't even like crime dramas.Apart from that, I was mesmerized how a japanese mangaka not only used some german names/places, but instead just got the general feeling on point. Characters are fitting,political and social populace feelings in general were nailed with all of the problems that arised at the time and just everything. It's something you'll expect from someone who lived here during that time.
By Meier Go To PostThe Kenshin OVAs are legendary. That animation quality.. oh man.Nobuhiro Watsuki had nothing to do with the OVAs luckily. Not that the normal Kenshin is bad, but the OVAs are on a whole different level.
Also the Blu-Ray version is pretty great Meier.
Sadly 4:3, but the art with that quality was a pleasure to watch.
