By inky Go To PostOh god, Fallout 3 was such a shit game. Still bought the lunchbox and Vault boy bobblehead.I really enjoyed Fallout 3, I never liked the Elder Scroll games but was interested in how the games played so FO3 was a good outlet for me to experience that.
Fallout 4 has the best start screen in gaming tho. /random
Just started Hollow Knight, really enjoying it. Feels really tight, and well balanced. I'm enjoying the music and art too. As much as I love Metroid, I've never played any of the indie metroidvanias.
That Bakayoko vid is genuinely reminiscent of that infamous Eboue performance

In my mind, Song still has a contract with Barca.
Like, I imagine every now and then he picks up his mail and there's a cheque from Barca, almost like a disability cheque.

I hope Nasri signs for MLS. He'd talked about wanting to do it in the past. I'd love to watch him again.

By Meier Go To PostNo better way to illustrate the market's inflation than the amount Chelsea paid for Drinkwater compared to how much they've played him. He's like when we paid £12m for Jack Rodwell. That's the example you find best illustrates transfer market inflation? Okay.

By Zabojnik Go To PostHahahahah, I love this game.Honestly, he should’ve retired after Juve.
This one is going to get ugly (read: he’s gonna suck).
And they wanted to spend £60m on yet another bench warmer because Sane got a paper cut and will be out for 2-3 weeks this window.
By inky Go To PostAnd their own £45m (£60m #fullamount) bench warmer in MF/RW"sensible spending"
By GQman2121 Go To PostThat's the example you find best illustrates transfer market inflation? Okay. It's a pretty great encapsulation of it. Chelsea have played him incredibly sparingly (even less than Michy) and he never will be a regular player in the squad. He is a perennially above average at best player who will not be improving further and he's nearly 28 years old now. It's pretty amazing that a guy who is firmly a squad player and will never be more than that cost £35m. The kind of guy who would have been about £15m at most a few years ago.
By inky Go To PostAnd their own £45m (£60m #fullamount) bench warmer in MF/RWa.) Bernardo Silva was one of the most wanted players across Europe in the summer.
b.) He's played in 37 matches already, the most on City. Everyone knew that he would be a rotation player as David Silva was slowly phased out.
c.) He's only 23 years old and will be at City for a long time.
By inky Go To PostAnd they wanted to spend £60m on yet another bench warmer because Sane got a paper cut and will be out for 2-3 weeks this window. This is just an entirely stupid comment that really isn't even worthy of a response, but you're an idiot.

The Club would like to place on record that it categorically refutes the claims made by the Daily Telegraph regarding manager David Moyes.
There is absolutely no truth whatsoever to this story. As previously stated on a number of occasions, the Club and David Moyes agreed a deal until the end of the 2017/18 season, at which point both parties will sit down and discuss the future.
Until then, the Board and David Moyes will continue to work closely together with the Manager having full responsibility of footballing matters and the full support of the Board. Everyone’s sole focus is on trying to achieve results for West Ham United.
By n8 dogg Go To PostReminder City spent 42m on MangalaI still don't believe that to be true, fwiw. Porto signed Yacine Brahimi around the same time and sold 80% of thieir rights to Doyen. Reports out of Portugal said that Doyen took a much smaller amount for their portion of Mangala's rights in exchange for Porto giving then Brahimi for peanuts since there was a much greater likelihood of profiting long term from Brahimi due to his €60m release clause. They ultimately have 50% of his rights for only €1.2m.
But that was just a case of a shit buy. R.e. inflation -- the Portuguese release clauses haven't really increased much surprisingly.
By inky Go To PostMeier going all moral over transfer spending is so funny.I am not "going [all] moral". Couldn't give a shit what Chelsea or anyone else spend, just said he represented a perfect example of market inflation. Laid out my points very clearly.
By Meier Go To PostI am not "going [all] moral". Couldn't give a shit what Chelsea or anyone else spend, just said he represented a perfect example of market inflation. Laid out my points very clearly.Yet you get very touchy when City's spending is mentioned for some reason? The fact that a player plays that regularly or not doesn't absolve his fee from the same economic concept of market inflation.

Don't think Managala is an example of market inflation. It's just a really shit buy a bit like Carroll was. Suspect B. Silva actually possibly went for under-value given the market.
Best example of market inflation is someone like Sigurdsson or Ake.

I don't know why everyone is picking on Bakayoko when the whole Chelsea team was just shit. It wasn't him that was the only one bad. The whole team was shit especially Cahill. Bakayoko getting more of the stick but Cahill was worse than him.
nah best example of market inflation is and always will be coutinho, that'll go down as the dumbest transfer in history

You might be right about that.

But I mean, playing time really doesn't have anything to do with inflation in the market. Paying £140m for a starter nowadays is just as much evidence of it as is paying £35m for a rotation option who would've been £15m tops years ago. Both fees are inflated due to the spending capabilities of clubs.
By rerixo Go To Postnah best example of market inflation is and always will be coutinho, that'll go down as the dumbest transfer in historyCoutinho would have to be pretty awful just to beat the likes of Torres or Ibra to Barca, let alone record breakers like Mendieta or Denilson.
Our transfer record is $6.5m for Bellamy and I imagine that record staying for quite a while. Fucking shit stain.
