I have never been to a basketball game more hype than Duke's first trip to Chestnut Hill when BC joined the ACC. You'd have thought JJ was slapping people's mothers. College fans go in.

The single elimination tournaments, asymmetric scheduling, and varying play styles also lends itself to "once in a lifetime" matchups and crazy upsets more often than the NBA.

Then you cut back to one more shot by the star, win or lose, and the final score while they give out some awful stat about how over a 4 game stretch nobody has ever had more than 57% of their left side threes get made with odd-numbered seconds left on the shot clock only for one of the anchors to mention that they didn't keep that stat while Wilt did his thing.
