By Smokey Go To PostSo he could just chill rest of season and most likely "win" a chip. Wow. Great job if you can get it.Welcome to NBA coaching where what you do outside of games is a bigger factor than what you do during a game.
I imagine a world where the Jazz get the 7th seed and knock-out a 2nd seed Rockets team. Make it happen, universe.

By diehard Go To PostI'm pretty sure the Blazers are in a better position to do that.iirc, the fifth seed can drop to tenth with like one or two losses if everyone else behind them wins. It's stupid close.
By diehard Go To PostI'm pretty sure the Blazers are in a better position to do that.As amazing as that would be, the Jazz doing it would actually enrage Rockets fans more.
Kerr and his assistants, meanwhile, stood by and watched.
“I don’t know,” Kerr said, when asked what he thought of the job they did. “I wasn’t listening.”
What an amazing talent Steve Kerr is
By Smokey Go To PostWe comparing Kerr to GOAT Pop now?You understand that, Kerr literally references Pop all the time. Like that's where he takes a lot of his inpsiration for his coaching style and the culture he wants to build at the club.
Players sick of listening to him? Idk if that's a path he wanna go down but aight
IIRC Kerr skipped his own media conference to listen to pops.
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostPringles doesn't make the Finals, so we don't know what he'd do.😶
By Omzz Go To PostI heard surprise that they would release Troy before Chinanu. So, they may just release him instead.

We can't beat the Rockets unless Pringles refuses to play Iso Joe.
But I could see us beating the Rockets otherwise.

SOMETHING IS OFF with the Cleveland Cavaliers. (And no, we're not talking about these last few weeks.) It's February 2014, and David Griffin has just been named acting general manager. But as he begins to examine the team's culture, he finds it … lacking. Seeking a fix, Griffin rips a page from Warriors coach Steve Kerr, whom Griffin worked alongside in the Suns' front office and who swears by the power of team dinners. And not just any dinners but wine-paired dinners.wow, David Griffin stole from Steve Kerr smfh who does Griffin think he is
By Smokey Go To PostSteve Kerr is such a legend. Not yet, but if he keeps the Warriors up to this level of dominance, you can bet he'll be this generation's Red Auerbach. Complete with Bay area tech-bros defending his honor like the good ol' Boston PD does for Red.

Whoever wins, we lose.
By Kibner Go To PostWelcome to NBA coaching where what you do outside of games is a bigger factor than what you do during a game. This is an under rated aspect of it all too.
In game adjustments are a small factor that really only come into account at play off time.

sheesh
By domino Go To PostHis pride is most definitely hurt.
My guy stayed down like he was hurt lmaooo
I really don't know where people stopped understanding basic laws of physics as applied to basketball. Like... that was my whole game on D when I was a kid. Body people up and don't get crossed. Also learn to try to be worth a damn on O.
By reilo Go To PostWho was Pop before he had Tim Duncan?Almost fired
Kerr is a good coach. Guy installed a system that unleashed that whole roster. He made guys like Ian Clark and Mo Speights look good. But hey apparently having a good team means the coach is bad. So I guess every coach who won a championship is terrible because they had good players.
Brandon Jennings is back. It feels like a long time since he was in the league.

By blackace Go To PostWhat timeline would we be in if Kerr took the Knicks job instead of the GSW job?

So I guess every coach who won a championship is terrible because they had good players.TBF, guys like Speights will always look better on a good team. Because they're forced to accept what they are, role players. And they dont have to step outside of doing anything, but what they're good at.
His system is good. He gets a lot from his talent. He's adopted it to the personnel he actually has. He tweeks on plays as they season goes on, and saves lots of them for the play offs.
All of those things make him, at least, a good coach.
Could he get as much out of Boston as Stevens does? Who knows.

By Smoke Dogg Go To PostRick Adelman still the most underrated coach, smh.Don't want to talk bad about the guy because his son just died
By Smoke Dogg Go To PostRick Adelman still the most underrated coach, smh.
Adelman when he cared, was a solid -- > good coach.
Adelman that was in minnesota, wasn't. He has had a number (son dieing recently...) of personal life events that have just made him disinterested in basketball, and his hearts not in it.
And I can't blame him for that. But i still don't want to see him as my coach any time soon.
