By diehard Go To Postim about 90% sure i'll be calling Crowder a bum sometime this season but if the Jazz were right and Snyder can get Jae back to what he was in Boston, that was a great move.I don't see why he couldn't, Utah seems like the kind of team built for him. 10 game win streak, dang. Didn't see that coming.
Main differences between our 9 game win streak and the prior 20 games when we were horrible.
20 game horror streak: Ricky Rubio is the worst player in the NBA and Gobert is injured and Ingles is scared to shoot a basketball.
9 game win streak: Ricky Rubio is Steph Curry and Gobert is healthy and Ingles is playing pretty well.
Will be interesting to see how we do if we get an OK Ricky Rubio.

By s y Go To PostLiterally leagues above Spo and Kerr.Don't get why you're so down on Spo. Last season established his bonafides imo. Your team is seriously lacking in name talent and he's kept them playing hard and doing damage.

They played hard because half the roster were in contract years or rookies/2nd years.

Literal definition of irrational.

By DY_nasty Go To Postshit. i remember how hard the hornets played before everyone got paidHeat are on track to have a better record this year (.536) than last year (.500). Despite "everyone getting paid".
Like I know the East is fucking terrible and all. But ... that roster ....

By pilonv1 Go To Postpsy's anti spo gimmick is hilarious considering how terrible they'd be without himits not like he's developing players
he's not good enough to be awesome and they're not bad enough to get a decent pick
it'd be okay if they weren't going straight to cap hell
By DY_nasty Go To Postits not like he's developing playersThe cap really isn't his fault... they have like 7 players they owe over 30 million to

All Spo has been able to do his entire tenure is put out a good defense(that wears players out) and ride Wade and LBJ's coatails. He doesn't develop talent, is terrible on offense and is stubborn as fuck.
He hasn't had much talent to develop after chipping or going to the finals.... kinda seems like Whiteside was a good player developed under him...
Clarkson with 17 on 11 shots.
I’d rather have him and another 12 million player than Paul George at 25 million. Fuck Pelinka.

#2 If George makes an All-NBA team he might be getting $41 mil, if not likely $32 mil. There is no scenario i can forsee where he takes $25, and he would be bargain at that.

I think what Dy was trying to say is Whiteside had talent and would've become that player he is now as a King if he wasn't completely crackhead insane with regard to his maturity/emotions.
And to be fair, he still is a little crackhead insane.
And to be fair, he still is a little crackhead insane.
Clarkson and Nance were legit building pieces on the Lakers.
Obviously they're going to thrive under Coach LeBron.
I'm so sad. It's bittersweet, man.

but he developed solo for 2+ years. can't just give coaches credit for having guys who work hard on their own. there's plenty of subjective cases around the league, but whiteside wasn't even in the country - then he pops up and give miami huge games when spo was pretty much forced to play him before the allstar break

Josh Richardson and Whiteside weren’t developed under him?
By Byakuya769 Go To PostJosh Richardson and Whiteside weren’t developed under him?Was Josh richardson developing when he was shooting like 20% earlier in the season because Spo had him playing out of position and was sticking him in the corner?
Only when Dion went down and Spo was forced to move Rich back to the 2 spot and get more plays for him did he turn around.
That's not developing. Thats Spo thinking his "positionless" shit was a product of his brilliance rather than having motherfucking Wade, LBJ and Bosh on the floor.
Refer to Dy's response for Whiteside
By Kibner Go To PostThis is worth reading :
If you trade him now you might be able to get a late first
Spoelstra hasn't exactly had the best talent to develop, the Heat have had 3 top 25 picks since he has been there (10 years). Beasley, Winslow and now Adebayo.
By Byakuya769 Go To PostJosh Richardson and Whiteside weren’t developed under him?richardson sucks bro. every team has a guy like richardson on the roster, miami just lets theirs shoot. but hey, maybe he can steal money like allen crabbe one day or be some team's poison pill contract of doom
and how you gonna spo credit for developing a guy that wasn't even in the country? whiteside was frail his entire time in sacramento, gets signed by miami when he shows up two years when he's a tank, but spo did that? he didn't even get a training camp i think lol
freeze me in a coma for ten years and I'd come out with the same jumpshot

Exum's coming back in a couple of weeks and this is a critical point to prove he's an NBA player who needs to get paid.
I'm interested to see how he does, this is going to be a contract year condensed down to one month.

I dunno, at the end of the day Spo missed the playoffs by a hair last year and has them there this year while heralded coach Stan Van Gundy does not. Even Carlisle & Budenholzer are tank commanding. You can argue the relative merits of roster, but if this Heat team was 10th nobody would bat an eyelash. It counts for something that he's kept the franchise in the mix when they could easily have fallen into the abyss.

and no one can win with reggie jackson. i actually feel sorry for stan
also we really acting like miami hasn't lost 7 of their last 10
By diehard Go To Postlast 9 games Gobert/Favors have a Drtg of 90.2 and are +29.5 NetRrtg. It can work, dammit!
It can work as long as Ricky Rubio's face is melting off because his shooting is so hot.
Mitchell is the long term PG so maybe Favors/Gobert could work semi-well long-term, but I don't know if Favors will stay or if the Jazz will offer him as much money as a team that needs a center.

also we really acting like miami hasn't lost 7 of their last 10So, I will say given schedules and trajectories it's not unlikely that Detroit passes them. Whether they stay in the playoffs depends on the injury coin toss that is the Sixers.
