PG - George Hill
SG - J.R. Smith
SF - Cedi Osman
PF - LeBron James
C - Tristan Thompson
I had no idea LeBron would change his thinking so much. Part of the reason I said the Cavs were donezo is LeBron would never change... It looks like desperation does strange things. Or sometimes you get real lucky.

Given how JR has played this year, they'd probably be better off starting Hood, but I guess he makes too much money to bench.
By Kibner Go To PostThe Nets shot 60 last night. D:
And they died!

LeBron got a smart PG who doesn't need the ball much to contribute (thanks Pop). Hill isn't great but his intelligence will help on team D (switches, JR fucking up, etc). You have a tryhard yet talented rookie who is 6'8 and secretly very strong at SF, Osman isn't afraid to shoot/board/pass to open teamamtes. LeBron at PF is the smart choice for now, he can orchestrate and will have more mismatches. You have shooters all around Bron except at C, and that could change if Nance plays C (not as bad as TT shooting)

James and Kyrie going at each other 1 on 1 on back to back plays is the kind of drama Silver prays for.
Edit: Osman not getting minutes because you're paying Crowder a lot of money seems like it's still Lue's fault.

Jaylen Brown beat him to the spot off a pick and he looked up like "Nani?"
Makes me happy every time they show my hometown for Cedi even though I don't think he knows a word of Macedonian lol

By friskykillface Go To PostOsman is shook x hypeOh I said he's willing to do anything on O and D so far. He can absolutely get that work also, he is a rook.
Lol that lay up

Cavs LU right now:
Clarkson
Hood
Korver
Green
Nance Jr.
... LeBron is actually going to be able to rest now. The offense is actually flowing and guys are making plays off cuts.

Nance pick up your ankles off that wet spot.
By reilo Go To PostSorry Raptors and Celtics, maybe when Lebron is 35. Or retired. He's 35 now?
Cavs can actually play real basketball now without Lebron on the floor. Maybe Lebron won't lead the league in minutes?
Nance better blame that wet spot, yikes >_>
Edit: Damn you Frankman

Rozier is shitting on fools on the PnR. Ainge was right, you can't have Rozier unless you give them a 1st.

I just don't trust Horford and their two young wings to bring it come playoff time. They just don't have a clear match-up advantage or ways to make up the Lebron deficit anymore if both teams were healthy (minus Hayward, obv) now that the Cavs PG and wing rotation isn't trash anymore.

Been resigned to this for years. :/
By livefromkyoto Go To PostBeen resigned to this for years. :/A week ago I would've been comfortable saying the Cavs would have a tough time making it to the Finals, but after this trade? Nah, sorry. The Cavs made the right moves.

WIth JR as the SG that's alot of bad help D to overcome. I want to see the roles then, but the only real answer is to then limit Love's minutes. You guys are gushing over the O when it's never been a big issue; effort and D is the issue. Cavs had to score 120 just to have a shot.
By s y Go To PostDefensive minded center Greg Monroe with terrible defense and foul
Him playing anyone on PnR is gonna be a problem.

You guys are gushing over the O when it's never been a big issue; effort and D is the issue.Nah, it's a non-issue. Bad playoff defense Love is a wash against good offense Al Horford -- Horford just doesn't have enough in him to bring you 15-20PPG in a series. I also don't expect young players like Tatum and Brown to bring consistent defensive effort in a 7-game series. That's really tough to do for young wing players, especially when the two of them will have to be primary defenders against Lebron. Rodney Hood and George Hill aren't Shumpert and Rose -- and that's where the trade for the Cavs truly shines.
