I just found out that of all teams, Boston gets the Grizz 1st round pick this year (protected 1-8, protected 1-6 next year, unprotected 2020). The Grizz can't win games for the rest of the year or they blow their rebuild, and they decided to keep Evans.

Three things:
1) Keeping the old coach is a classic GM move, it buys you a year to learn the ropes while everything can be someone else's fault who's not your guy.
2) I'm not sure what there is to be unhappy about there. If coaches just hand out minutes like candy, the team loses all discipline. Even still, Kornet literally just walked onto the team and got 22 mins. Ntilikina was wretched (5 points, 5 TOs 3 fouls in 20 mins), what else was he going to give you? How many of those other randos are even going to be there next season? Hicks played 17 mins at PF and had 0 boards. Trey Burke AKA cosplay Iverson was the only guy other than Kornet who looked like he even had a pulse.
3) That was already a 30 point loss until a couple of garbage time buckets got it down to 25. You're asking Hornacek to play guys who are going to get 50 point losses hung on you. Nobody develops anything in an atmosphere like that.

Plus Frank has had knee soreness for over a month, it worries the fuck outta me because right now he's played more minutes than he's ever had in a season.
