By Red Blaster Go To Posthow the fuck do the lakers still have free agency dreams after getting spurned 4 years in a row
Mozgawd coming back
Here's the worst part, if we strike out on free agents again (which is like a 90% chance we will), we would have lost Clarkson, Russell, and Nance for NOTHING. Fuck me.
The Lakers now take on the expiring $6.3M contract of Isaiah Thomas and $7.4M expiring contract of Channing Frye. The Lakers now project to have $46.9M in room this summer. The cap space will increase to $69M if they do not bring back Julius Randle and stretch the $37M owed to Luol Deng over 5 years.
Gonna try again.
By jjasper Go To PostThey have to be. It isn't a bad trade but I probably would have preferred to hang on to Nance.
eh i've never been in love w/ nance. he aint that nice. i like the deal after reading about it.
If I'm reading this correctly, that means that there's even more money coming off the books with this trade. The key will be getting free agents. Rob and Magic will have to work their magic (pun intended) in the off season.
I'll miss Nance more than Clarkson

By friskykillface Go To Postgetting paid 37 million over the next 5 years for doing nothing, Deng won
Nick Foles also won.
I think Cleveland had to get Thomas out and they also had to try and limit the amount that some of their truly trash defenders are on the floor. Clarkson isn't going to kill their perimeter defense the same way IT did and they can sub Nance in for some of those Jeff Green/Channing Frye minutes.

By Jeff-DSA Go To PostThere has to be another deal for the Cavs though…right? They can't trade the Brooklyn pick now, so whatever they do would have to be player for player.
what if jordan doesn't think the nets pick + filler is enough for kemba though? because honestly, it might not be, it'd really have to land in the top 5 which is no guarantee
By Vlatko Go To Postwhy did Kyrie have to fuck everything up manAny success the Cavs have had is due to being the closest geographical franchise to LeBron's birthplace and lucking into the first pick in 2004 (and having absurd lottery luck during LeBron's Miami years).
Can't get excited about anything Cavs any more
You should be thankful your one ring. You're fortunate to have even that considering the Cavs' clownshoes ownership and management.
By rodeoclown Go To PostThey can't trade the Brooklyn pick now, so whatever they do would have to be player for player. They can still trade the BKN pick if it is a pick-swap.
The NBA has barred Cleveland from trading their Brooklyn pick until the draft according to ESPN.
yikessssssssss
i know IT wasn't playing well but...that's a glaring hole they have at the point

I don't think anyone is going to want to include their own pick in any deals for the nets pick
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostyikessssssssssOh yea, they can't draft trade picks for consecutive seasons. They didn't have a draft pick in 2017.

Life came quick
Isaiah, new game plan. Get in front of a camera and say "I don't want max money."
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostyikessssssssssI'm guessing if nothing else happens, they'll play Clarkson at point and just have LeBron run the offense. They can't start Derrick Rose or Jose Calderon.

lebron has the ball all the time anyway. they dont need a PG.

Gilbert is a meddling asshole but he at least spends money and wants to win so I can't complain too much about him.

Team is just boring to watch and care about the past two years. I was more invested during the lottery years which is weird to say when someone who might be the best player ever returns and wins a ring but at least I knew they were trying most of the time then.

Honestly, I like the Hood and Iso Joe for Derrick Rose and Jae Crowder deal a lot as long as we cut Rose.
