By Scum Go To PostMy 55" CX turned up today. Good God!YES SCUM
So I wanna get a CX. Should I be fine with the current sale at Costco? Or is it really worth buying from Best Buy since their warranty covers burn in.

You're fine at Costco. Burn in is a thing but takes a very long time to happen, if ever, and today's OLEDs are vastly improved from earlier iterations. The Best Biy warranty is worth it if you want absolute peace of mind, but you're fine with Costco.
The piece of mind is/has been worth it to me. I had a Plasma for 11 years without issue (thank God), but OLED is new tech for me, so I splurged on the Best Buy warranty. And if anything goes wrong with the TV not burn-in related, I'll be covered too.
I'm sure you can find a 3rd party warranty for the TV that doesn't cover burn-in if you're not concerned about that possibility.

Then I'd be buying it with my costco citi so I think that adds another 2 years of warranty on top of that. Or at least I get 2 years added to whatever the LG warranty is.

By LabouredPatriot Go To PostI have to say I’m incredibly disappointed in Vincent. He rates Ambilight, which I’ve been assured it’s just a gimmick. I see now he is amateur hour.
So was all excited about possibly getting a CX but that VRR flickering/gamma issue would annoy me even though the PS5 doesn't even have VRR yet. I would just hate when it does get support and it runs into unfixable issue.
By Daz Go To PostPulled the trigger on the CX after I saw the 65" drop TO 1,899 Raheems.
Ascension awaits.
Blessings brother

Getting a CX is one of the few expensive purchases where I almost immediately forgot buyer’s guilt the moment i set it up.
Last big purchase I made was my iPad Pro and I regret nothing on that front. It's easily been my most used device since I bought it. Though with the CX incoming won't be using my iPad as my daily driver for streaming and I can enjoy my PS5 games in their full glory instead of the crappy 32" 720P TCL I was using. Was legit not playing some games since I wanted to play them on a good TV.
By Daz Go To PostYh, I'm holding off on Miles Morales and Control/GOW till my TV arrives.Good call.
By reilo Go To PostUnboxing the LG C9 was a miserable experience
It's fucking disgusting, I tossed my stand and got an aftermarket one.
But gawd that picture quality
Not a single bit of buyers remorse upon getting the CX. You need a TV anyways considering our hobby is gaming so it might as well be up to a certain standard that lasts you a bit longer.
This is just a curiosity but I’ve been getting a pop up notification for low battery (and to replace batteries) on my Magic Remote for weeks on end (C9). Can’t be that low if it has lasted as long as it has since, maybe 3 or 4 weeks. LG please, think of the environment, let me run these fully down. Now I’m curious to see how far the charade goes.
By reilo Go To PostYou can save battery life by slowing down your consumption of 4k HDR pornYou can lose weight by cutting off your legs too m8 but you can't expect anyone to actually do that.

By Nelo Ice Go To PostJust got my CX today and it's beautiful. Now to calibrate it lol.
nice
now get to burning in those pixels m8
Well the CX lived up to the hype. Watched WandaVision last night and played some PS5 and Switch on it. Everything looks incredible on it. Can't go back to LCD after experience the greatness that is OLED.
Pro-tip: Disney+ HDR isn't good -- fake, some might even call it. Try finding some proper UHD + HDR if you can.
By Daz Go To PostIt's ridiculously thin.Still amazed by this even after owning it for 9 months now lmao
By Daz Go To PostIt's ridiculously thin.
It's crazy how they fit all of the electrical components I to the frame in the GX series.
Way too thin if you ask me. Thought it would snap setting it up. They should make it thicker and reinforce it a bit.

They should make it thicker and reinforce it a bit.My anxiety level was high with this when it came time to take it out of the box and set up. Definitely need another pair of hands to gently carry and make sure it don’t snap.
Only realised there was a protective film on the back of my CX today. Is there one on the screen too? I can’t see or feel it, but the one on the back has got me paranoid now.

Read that you should peel it off due to heat issues that can develop on the TV if left on. Don’t know if that’s true but my paranoia drove me to do it anyway.
