Yo what's this I'm hearing about the league possibly making everyone on the Clippers a free agent next year? Can they do that?

I think that got floated around by ESPN's legal expert. That would be the nuclear option, highly HIGHLY doubt we see that. Now if Silver wants Sterling the fuck out of the league and Sterling digs his feet into the ground, I think we might see future draft picks taken from LAC. Voiding all the current LAC contracts sounds like it could be a nightmare.

why are you in such a rush to get back to mediocrity?
Is this what tanking does to the soul?
shiiiiiit
jameer isn't getting shit. he's gonna get waived and be looking for a mid level deal. henderson only makes 2 mil a year less than afflalo. that's a massive upgrade if we can simply replace the twovia realgm http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/233166/Bobcats-Plan-To-Target-Arron-Afflalo-Jameer-Nelson-In-Trade

all of our 'core' guys are young enough for us not to spin wheels right now so its the kind of move i'd like to see if we don't give up anything
its gonna take #9 + MKG to just get Afflalo, let alone Jameer
Magic tank ends after this draft, so there isn't any one individual player the Cats have that would be better than Afflalo.

I'm sorry diehard, but Gordon Hayward on this team....

Bobcats GM Rich Cho says team likely to be about $17-$19 million under the salary cap this offseason.
Bobcats say they are definitely in the market to add a top-notch player -although those are sometimes hard to find in free agency.
Bobcats Rod Higgins says addressing perimeter shooting is one of the biggest areas of need this offseason. I would agree.

You want to keep him NY? Still? What exactly has he done that you'd want to get rid of him? Seriously now, he's arguably had a better all around season this year than last regarding boarding and effort on D. He's had:
1) The corpse of Amar'e for the first 40 games.
2) Woodson beating all the will out of Shump until nothing was left.
3) The loss of Raymond Felton's JANK.
4) LOL JR Smith
5) Beginning of the decline of Tyson Chandler.
6) Did I mention terrible defensive switching concept?
Carmelo isn't the big problem, it's the coaching, management and roster around him. That can be drastically fixed in 2015 (Bargs/Amar'e/Felton off books), with some cosmetic changes in the 2014 season (signing some Phil Jackson guys/installing Triangle concepts). And it's not like letting Carmelo walk suddenly makes this team better either; they'd be the Bucks for the next 2 years.

Tom Izzo says he's staying at MSU. I don't care, I'm still all in on Stan Van until I get an explicit no.

Haywards an incredibly inconsistent shooter man
He is when its all on him to shoot. The fact of the matter is that he can create his own shots consistently without needing to derail an offense to do it. He's just as good of a defender as Henderson while being infinitely more versatile on offense.via https://twitter.com/SteveReedAPBobcats GM Rich Cho says team likely to be about $17-$19 million under the salary cap this offseason.Bobcats say they are definitely in the market to add a top-notch player -although those are sometimes hard to find in free agency.Bobcats Rod Higgins says addressing perimeter shooting is one of the biggest areas of need this offseason. He's the perfect fit for the team but we'd basically have to play hardball with Utah in order to get him.

Suns were/are interested in him. But his numbers are scary as hell. In a bad way.
Utah didn't really have any perimeter threat all besides him and the inconsistency of their interior meant that opposing defenses often get their easiest nights of the season. He is when its all on him to shoot. After seeing how we handled our guys in tank years and watching other organizations do similar things, I can't help but assume that Utah couldn't be happier that he was strangled out every night after his contract negotiations went the way they did. Especially in a tank season.

I think Utah would be foolish to let him go. Ever. But...
He can create, but he's being mildly ineffective at getting others involved. His Assist numbers are up, but his TO numbers went up even more. And he's not being as useful in breaking down the D. You say he had no help in Utah, by that definition of no help, he'd have none in Charlotte either.
His shot is shook, and so is he. He isn't the only guy who can create on that team (not at the end of the season anyway) but he was still putting up horrendous numbers. Particularly shooting numbers. His 3pt % went from last years .415 being very very good to .300 this year being bad.
His D also slackened off. Some of which i can, and can't blame him for. Their season was dead, but eh.
There's a lot that make offering Hayward a max / large contract a really risky move. I still think he's going to be very good. I just wonder when he'll get there.
