Smart and Vonleh have been floating about lately. Probably smokescreens to make Exum fall but they did LOVE Smart last year before he went back like a dope.
Plus they may target Point with 12 (Ennis or Payton?) or maybe they really think Dipo is a point guard?
im glad the coaching search is over, now if only the draft can get here so i can at least be pissed about who we take there.

Suns interested in Love deal w/best assets Dragic, Bledsoe & picks.NBA sources say it will take full max deal to control free agent Bledsoe.

I don't know how I feel about this. Would much rather have a maxed out Kevin Love than a maxed out bledsoe.
Dragic is becoming the face of the franchise no way he goes anywhere

an out of touch asshole that builds his team the same way
this is going to be a fucking horrible horrible era rodeo..and it pisses me off because you deserve better
If I'm Love I'd decline a trade to the Suns without a 2nd star there. Dragic is good but lets not get too crazy. You only get one shot at controlling your destiny before you hit your prime...you gotta try to pull some Heat like shit if possible.
I think if the deal is like Bledsoe, morris twins, and picks. The suns still have room for two max contracts. Trade for love and sign Melo.Flip Saunders going out of his way to show that he didn't get unlimited power because of intelligence or people skills or stuff like that.

Not that it even has a 1% chance of happening but if it really came down to it the suns do have the cap space for it. I don't know how good a Dragic/Melo/Love core would be. Dragic and Love would be awesome but with Melo? I don't think so

Aren't you the one championing KD to Wash?
And lets also not kid ourselves. Out east, Dragic isn't just an allstar, he's starting.
I'm not sure what / where love is really planning on ending up though. Timing it like the heat trio did is really hard, and there aren't many teams clearing THAT much cap space. Not who also have young stars / talent and a non-retarded FO. I mean, there's lots of idealish situations for him. Memphis, for e.g. would be great. But those sorts of places are hard to get without them having to give up too much to keep the team attractive afterwards.
Raptors are interesting though. So are the Pistons.
Dragic wouldn't start over Kyrie or Wade unless he was putting up 26 and 12 or something ridiculous--just not popular enough.
I wouldn't mind seeing Nash ball 2.0 in Phoenix. Melo at the 4, Love at the 5. It would work in the East because they wouldn't have to kill themselves every night. In the West they'd have nothing left by playoff time by how hard they'd have to work both ends every night. Still though, a bulked up love at Center is interesting. With both Melo and Love forcing the defense completely away from the paint it would really hope things up for Dragic.
Contrary to popular belief you could still protect the rim by playing a Miami Heat kind of game--Flushing the paint with doubles, some soft zone defense, switches on PNR, etc...you'd give up perimeter shooting but you can do enough to be average defensively this way and that's all you'd need with such an elite offense.

Melo can play D when he wants to. But love is just Bad.
And the whole reason the Miami D works is because the bigs they do use, Bosh / Birdman are very good defensively. Bosh means so very much to them on defense. Love just can't play extended small ball 5 because of that.
Well, i can't see it working and the team doing it, being very successful.
The era of Giant 3's playing 4, Melo/LBJ/Durant to an extent. Sure. But they're all covered by very good defenders to boot, Bosh, Chandler, Ibaka.
Until Love solves that, i'm not sold on him being a franchise all in, player. A max? sure. Franchise? eh.........

Miami hasn't been looking for a defensive big either. We stopped running two traditional big lineups once we figured out how awesome small ball was with Bosh at the 5 during the '12 playoffs. The only big Miami was searching for was one with hands, Joel Anthony was good defensively but he had ghost hands, then came Birdman. The only reason we picked up Oden was to put a big body on Hibbert but he wasn't a problem this year.
if Silver is so hellbent on a hardcap, then surely he's smart enough to eliminate max salaries
the financial structure in the league is broken and that's why Miami gets to collude its way to multiple chips...no offense to Heat fans, it is what it is and they did what they had to.
and the Spurs are, in a different kind of way, on the same level of bs, when an elite talent like Duncan takes a paltry 10 million a year despite being worth max, and all of a sudden guys are saying "wow, spurs are so deep".
meanwhile the suns have to contemplate paying bledsoe a near max or left him walk and face treadmill or tank life because reasons

I have watched Bosh his entire career.. and good defender was never a label used for him. However, him being as moble as he is doesn't allow him to be helpful in the Heat's PnR D.. Maybe he does get shat more than he deserves but pretending like he a good rim protector is laughable and you know it.
You are right Joel was on the team before the big 3.. but the Heat have always been trying to find ways to get more help protecting the rim.. Because if a team does beat the trapping D noone can really protect the hoop that well..

The heat have never been really looking for a traditional big to put near bosh. They don't want to play big, it kills floor spacing for james and wade.
hence them using shard.
looking at the 2008 draft, man that shit was loaded. picks 24, 25 and 26 are all starters on playoff teams. i think this year's draft is a good comp for it, just need to see who's this years oj mayo.

You know, for a guy who talks shit about how highly I think of Kobe. You really do hype the shit out of every mediocre Suns player ever.
Dragic averaged 20/6 with 60 TS%, 119 ORtg, 10.3 win shares as easily the best player on the 10th best team in the NBA despite his team being projected as a 15 win team before the season. He was the 15th best player in the league going by win shares and the 20th best player in the league going by RPM WAR. He was a lot better than Irving this year, debatable if he was better than Lowry though.

RT @WojYahooNBA: Derek Fisher is closing on a deal to become Knicks coach, league source tells Yahoo Sports. @FisolaNYDN first reported.
AHAHAHHAHAH
AHAHAHHAHAH
Fisher's staff is very likely to include Kurt Rambis. Others in mix: Rick Fox, Luke Walton, Bill Cartwright.
Is Rambis still involved in all this NBA stuff just because of nepotism?
...goodluck DFish.
It's a good start for him, if they suck it's because they're the knicks, if they only suck a little then he looks like a promising coach. Good that he gets to learn the ropes with nothing but a top 3 pick on the line, won't be in the hot seat for a long while.
