The Grizz don't deserve to get anything for Joerger, but if a second-rounder is the only roadblock then it's pretty silly on Minny's part too.But Glen Taylor could make a couple million selling those picks. Someone think about his bottom line, please.
So Pera is on Twitter answering a bunch of questions about Joerger and stuff...
First time I've seen anything like this. Kinda cool.

Embiid measured in at a 7'1" with a 9'5.5" standing reach, so good. Parker's standing reach of 8'11.5" is much better than expected as well.

Griz talking about JVG deal like his brother's in Det..
having both of them back and Balmer news has me pumped!
One of the prime options under consideration by the Memphis Grizzlies in the wake of last week's management shakeup and the looming departure of Dave Joerger to the Minnesota Timberwolves is making a run at Jeff Van Gundy to be their coach and run their front office, according to NBA coaching sources. Sources told ESPN.com that the Grizzlies have serious interest in trying to convince Van Gundy to serve as coach and team president in a job structure modeled after the new dual role brother Stan Van Gundy has secured with the Detroit Pistons.

Who knows the whole thing is strange.
Anyway on that twitter stream he said he like Central BBQ the best in Memphis so he's cool with me.

Until he apologised cause Redezvous is a sponsor of the grizz.
LOL Kyrie ain't getting max from the Cavs. They're basically telling him to act like a grown ass man, stop your locker room charades, or get the fuck out like you keep yapping about.

Hmm with Parker being a legit 6'9 and with that standing reach he could probably grow into a decent interior defender. As I said earlier, he was an underrated shotblocker as a frosh.
new jabari workout, them powerful stridesI'm literally going to cry if the Cavs don't pick him #1.
I'll even record it for you guys.

Honestly, as long yall don't go full Chris Grant or trade it for 9 months of Love, whoever yall take will be a solid pick/fit.
I'd take Embiid if I had the Cavs current team tho. Wiggins might go cry in the car after Waiters shanks him for not passing him the ball. Jabari would want said ball and thus cause problems. So Embiid is the "best fit" I think. Can't fuck it up unless...well Cavs gonna Cavs happen.
I'm fine with Embiid or Parker, but after passing on Jonas, Drummond, and Noel, I want a center.new jabari workout, them powerful stridesI'm literally going to cry if the Cavs don't pick him #1.

the kyrie stuff isnt real rightWhat Kyrie stuff? Not offering him the max?
it just cant be
Saving it for the true heart of the team.
Well, I have this idea, that bringing in such an offensively talented SF as Jabari would change the on floor dynamic. Kyrie doesn't enjoy having to be the team's leading scorer. So then Jabari would allow him to fall back into the role of a true PG, freeing up touches across the board. That would keep Dion happy at the starting SG. Or trade Waiter, idgaf.new jabari workout, them powerful stridesI'm literally going to cry if the Cavs don't pick him #1.

I'm afraid of Embiid back. Terrified, really.
It's weird how trading coaches has become a thing.
Miami did it in the 90s. Probably the only thing they didn't jump on a bandwagon for.

Makes sense.
i too am scared as fuck of Embiid's back which is why I am kinda happy we fell to 3. That way if he is the guy, then we could justify it if his back gives out...
but now motherfuckers are talking about Randle and trading down and shit. fuck dat
Makes sense.I have a feeling it's going to go

I'd like that
I really want Parker but Bill Simmons suggesting we trade Burks, #5, #23 and a future pick for him is ridiculous.

are you joking lol
philly would laugh at that offer if he was available at #3
#3 is a pretty great place to be. No pressure, and you still end up with a top prospect, any of which can help your team.

which we apparently would only do if Exum is there.....which would make Burks pointless..not to mention Exum isn't getting past Orlando..and if he did Utah would just take him.
wtf Simmons
So this Nik Stuakas kid got a mid range...only 46 in a row

I wouldn't laugh at that... I might snap that up if the Aussie still on the board
And they could get a decent wing at 23
Philly needs awhole new team basically...
Oladipo and Marcus Smart just seems scary as fukk and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
They worked Smart out yesterday didn't they?
Oladipo needs to be a SG anyways..
Zach LaVine is also a bit of a wild card this draft... I pretty sure he isn't going 4th or 5th but man draft stock is all over the place..
why are people hyped about exum
he isn't an elite passer and he can't execute offensive consistently doing anything besides driving to the basket
he's going to be a rich mans Livingston

Parker is the one who seems hyped to me tho...
I feel he is a bit of a tweener.. I think he will have trouble covering the better wings in the NBA.
I think his ceiling is Mashburn (not a bad ceiling) but his floor is Michael Beasley...

There is an off version??
He has been pretty meh to horrible his whole career
Beasley was never checked in mentally, a perennial underachiever. Dude had the physical gifts to be a good NBA player, he just didn't want it. Ask ph33nix yo.I think his ceiling is Mashburn (not a bad ceiling) but his floor is Michael Beasley…On or off the weed?

Parker seems like a hard worker, and he has a killer instinct. Those alone are a leg up on Beasley.

For the first few years maybe
But this year we didn't even give him a chance

Kings are willing to trade for Wolves All-Star Kevin Love without assurance he'll re-sign.

Kings are willing to trade for Wolves All-Star Kevin Love without assurance he'll re-sign.
The Kings are willing to give up their eighth overall pick in this year's NBA draft and a combination of players for Love, even though he would not be expected to sign a contract extension before next season – if ever, with the rebuilding, small-market franchise, the source said. Sacramento envisions Love and DeMarcus Cousins playing alongside each other in the front court. Swingman Rudy Gay has a player's option for next season.

I can't blame them--they are batting really badly in drafts
They still wouldn't be good enough in the West to keep him though
Wizards would do it without an assurance as long as it didn't cost us Wall or Beal. Barring a disaster we'd make an ECF at worst and he'd get his max so I couldn't see him leaving unless Leonsis skimps on paying the tax.
Ultimately I don't really know what happens though. None of the teams he wants to go to has any assets whatsoever and unless he demands a trade I can't see the Wolves capitulating to his desires.
