Why do all these stupid drafts have the suns taking 3 PG / Combo Guards?McD did interview exum so who knows what he will do. He loves him some combo guards and if he does draft one then I dont think he is very confident in matching a Bledsoe max contract.
They're not taking a whole bunch more rookie guards.
If anything they'll be looking for True Wings (Sg/Sf) or a genuine PF.
Why Draymond Green? Their games are not really close.
Both guys are versatile defenders who can pass and do a bunch of different things but are still low volume and low efficiency and bad at shooting on offense. They definitely have differences, but they have a lot of the same positives and negatives I think.
The Golden State Warriors believe they have a legitimate shot at trading for Kevin Love.
Love is believed to prefer a trade to either the Warriors or Chicago Bulls.
"You know we'll be aggressive," one Warriors source said. "We usually get our guy."
The Warriors could package David Lee, Harrison Barnes and their 2015 first round pick (traded after June 26) in a deal for Love. Golden State doesn't want to include Klay Thompson, who become eligible for a contract extension this offseason.
The Bulls, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns can presumably offer better deals for Love.
…the fuck?
these cats getting cocky over hiring a couple of fraud analysts back to back as their head coach now?

“It’s deceiving if you just base it upon the playoffs, the loss in the first round,” Olajuwon said. “It is deceiving because I believe Portland did a huge favor to San Antonio. If the Rockets got past Portland, they had an opportunity to go all the way.
“My point is that team that lost in the first round was truly a championship team because you see they match up so well with San Antonio. I think they had a better chance than Portland. You cannot judge the Rockets team based upon just being out in the first round. I think they are a better team. I think they just played the wrong team. Portland played incredibly well.”

Fuck this wack ass clownshoes league for real though. Three 1st picks in 4 years for one of the most inept front offices in the league just because LeBron bitched out. At least don't make it look so obvious.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have made "significant progress" in their attempts to hire Dave Joerger away from the Memphis Grizzlies to be their new coach, according to sources close to the process. This is so surprising to me. I really expected a bad retread like Sam Mitchell or Flip coming down to coach.
Sources told ESPN.com that, while compensation details with the Grizzlies still have to worked out, Minnesota's fast-moving bid to make Joerger its next coach is gathering momentum.
The Wolves are restricted to offering draft picks and/or cash to Memphis to free Joerger from his contract with the Grizzlies. But one source said Thursday that Joerger landing in his home state with the Wolves is "the way this thing is headed."
By all reports, Joergers family still live in Minny, and that's the whole reason he's interested in the wolves job over Mem. otherwise, he wouldn't even bother talking to anyone else.
Which supposedly free's up Mem to go hard after Thibs, whom Mem desperately want.
Which... yeah, i dunno.

Think of it this way, whom ever the Cavs pick, they removed one bust the rest of the teams can't draft. It really works in favor of the guy picking second.

I think they're super hesitant to give bledsoe's knee's a max. Which... well... Amare. It make me worried though. I would love to have bledsoe back. And they don't have another SG or PG to really take a starters spot.
i mean, i could understanding drafting ONE combo guard, and using them off the bench etc. But two or three like are appearing in the mocks? naw. Not happening.

All fairness fair to Giri, no one would trade more than a late first rounder for $4m of Bismack Biyombo
By all reports, Joergers family still live in Minny, and that's the whole reason he's interested in the wolves job over Mem. otherwise, he wouldn't even bother talking to anyone else.Yeah, but when does a guy that currently has a head coaching job just interview for another gig? That never happens in the NBA. He can't go back to Memphis now (not that they want him back anyway, or else they don't let him interview), so he's going to get the Wolves job. Just a weird situation, but I'm obviously happy with the outcome.

Yeah the only thing that is going to draw this out is if there is some hangup on the compensation. Clearly Minnesota has more of the power in the discussion but Memphis is clearly going try and get something out of it. So it would be weird if Joergey going to the Wolves sets in motion Love leaving. Minny is trying to keep love, Memphis is fine with Joerger going cause they want Thibs, Chicago is willing to listen to Memphis cause they want the (draft picks which will at least be a first + whatever they get from Minny) for trade assests for Love.By all reports, Joergers family still live in Minny, and that's the whole reason he's interested in the wolves job over Mem. otherwise, he wouldn't even bother talking to anyone else.Yeah, but when does a guy that currently has a head coaching job just interview for another gig? apparently embiid's agent isn't letting the bucks have access to his medical records
the kids only played ball for 4 years and couldn't even get through a season of NCAA ball in a draft class with shit athletes at center and while spending the majority of games glued to the bench because of his stupid high foul rate, and to make matters worse its a stress injury to his back
you've got to be animal dumb to draft him over Jabari
Embiid's agent doesn't want Larry Drew bringing him off the bench behind Sanders and Henson because he thinks Embiid needs a lot of minutes right away to help him develop. His back is fine and he'll get picked by the Cavaliers or 76ers.
Noel is probably better than most of the guys in this draft though.

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/ryen-russillos-nba-draft-confidential-real-scouts-on-wiggins-randle-embiid-and-parker/
Wiggins has offensive holes in his game — no dribble, no pass, streaky shooter. His sex appeal is only his athleticism.
He will be lost in an NBA half-court offense. He is great in transition, but he has no ball skills. All right hand, no idea what to do without the ball. He struggles with confidence. He actually reminds me more of Gerald Green than any of these studs he’s compared to.
He needs to add a whole bunch of other stuff to be the scorer people think he can be. He needs to forget shooting 3s. His shot isn’t great, but it isn’t broken.
And the Wolves would take Wiggins if they had the first pick.

Chicago apparently have their sights set on some college coach, which they apparently have a deal in place for... but need thibs gone to be able to do it.
Thibs and chicago ownership / management are obviously at war, the whole season was thibs basicall sticking it to them.
The SCARY part of the Thibs to Mem deal is that supposedly Mem want to give him a SVG type deal. With some control of bball decisions. I'm not sure what thibs has done that makes anyone think he's ready for that.
I think Joerger could come back. Leaving to interview for the team that is in the state where your kids are, isn't the same as interviewing because you're genuinely unhappy, or, for money or w/e. Family is different. But it would make it harder to say he's 100% committed long term.
So really, a whole bunch of these coach trades/releases could go down...

Are you sure you're watching all of bobcat games and not just giving all of your hate to kemba?
I think the cats would be stupid to give up on bis now... too many clubs give up on young talent too quickly to only see the time spent on them come to fruition elsewhere... and farm clubs like the hornets are examples of that.
But he's losing minutes to zeller and mc roberts. And he's got a VERY long way to go still. Like another 2 or 3 years before he's plumlee (either of them) good. And he's shown no sign of range in the slightest. And he can still look entirely lost on the court on defense. The best thing he's got goin for him now, is what he had when he was drafted, physical attributes and potential.
jesus, did i really type 3 paragraphs about biyombo? these drugs MUST be messin with me.
do people not understand how big of a deal 19 and 9 as a freshmen at Duke is or something

I think you're glossing over some other glaring issues with his game that you can't chalk up to "it's gonna get better with time"
He's a good rebounder and shot blocker in limited minutes. But part of it is that he only plays 15 minutes, so he can foul and play more physical without repercussions. The more important things to look for is the detail oriented stuff like, "does he know where to be on offense?" or "is he good at reading pick n rolls?" Those are things that have barely progressed in 3 years.
He's losing minutes because he has zero sense of the court on both offense and defense. He might turn into a better version of Ian Mahinmi given a few years, but it's equally likely that he's out of the league in that time.
