The NBA is expanding the area that must be clear behind the basket and cutting the number of photographers along the baseline in an effort to improve player safety.
The new regulations, calling for an extra foot of open space on both sides of the basket stanchion, were sent to teams Tuesday by league president of operations Rod Thorn in a memo that was obtained by The Associated Press.
The "escape lanes," the unoccupied area on either side of the stanchion to the closest photographer spot, will increase to 4 feet. Only 20 camera positions, 10 on each baseline, will remain, down from 40 during the 2010-11 regular season.
About time. Crazy to think that up to FORTY photographers were sitting baseline along with the dancers (usually a dozen of them).
If anyone is interested in the Fantasy Football league we still have spots left since I'm waiting to hear from a few waitlisters. Post or PM me for and invite. Also
Kobe Bryant trash-talked LeBron James after "The Decision" via text message.ouch.
Fresh off bringing the Lakers' franchise their second consecutive title in 2010, Bryant was perturbed that the headlines were instead dominated by LeBron's decision to leave Cleveland. So, in Kobe fashion, Bryant sent LeBron a text that went like this: "Go ahead and get another MVP, if you want. And find the city you want to live in. But we're going to win the championship. Don't worry about it." LeBron then went on to make four consecutive Finals appearances, and brought two championship trophies to the Miami organization, but you got to love Bryant's competitiveness.

Seriously? When did Dudley's value fall off the face of the earth? The Clips seriously needed to package a 1st to send him out?
He's not even 30 and he was such an instrumental role player in the twilight years of the Nash Suns.
wow they got Dudley and a 1st for Delfino
I mean Dudley wasn't great last year but he's only a year removed from solid play--the Bucks might still manage to get good value out of him

He should be a perfect 3 and D guy and he makes like nothing.

He's hurt and I have no idea if he will play next season. Pure cost cutting move for clips as both players are unguaranteed next season compared to Dudley.
It's like a 2017 1st rounder which is a pretty dumb move IMO since it's so far away. Who knows what they'll be like then. Oh well.

That pick has to be heavily protected.
Delfino was a good player before the Rockets had him play through a broken foot and then the Bucks doctors botched his foot surgery.
That pick has to be heavily protected.
oh no doubt, but even if the Bucks don't see it until 2018 it's still crazy to give one up for Delfino

It's a odd gamble by The Clips for sure. The upside isn't that great even if it exceeds reasonable expectations, but CP3 might be done by 2018 and giving up a 1st rounder at that time could set them back a good deal.
Another guy that "should have been good" for the Clippers only to suck and get dumped.
Redick up next.

I wonder how much of it was caused by him being back close to home. With all his friends / family back around him being temptations.
Dudley's not the first guy to be inflated by the D'Antoni/Nash combo. And although Gentry was the one coaching him, they still more or less ran the same offense.
Guys like Xavier Henry, Earl Clark, Nick Young, Jodie Meeks all had that happen to them during the D'Antoni years in LA as well.

Edit: I liked Delfino a couple years ago. It's sad that his injuries screwed him up so badly. Maybe he'll be able to do something, but I'm not counting on it. Either way, Dudley was essentially useless.
Someone write a new we already won song. Bone, Cudi, MGK… get on it.
Cudi ain't about dat life anymore. Dude stopped weed and his music got more fucked up and twisted. I don't even know how that works.
Love recalled playing in a tournament in Beaverton, Oregon and showing up late. "I was the last guy to the gym for the tournament, and there was the 0 for me."this is probably the closest the blazers have been to a contending team in 15 years
Now, years later, the 0 carries additional meaning. "I just decided that 0 was the right fit for me and it really brings me back to Portland, which is Oregon, the O."
i'll take it

JR Smith says he's on track to be one of the leagues best shooters ever? LMAO. If he's entering this season with this kind of big-headedness, we're fucked.
Funny enough The Score mentions that JR was more efficient from the arc than Damian Lillard. But then quickly bring the idea of JR ever being elite right back down to earth.

http://www.thescore.com/nba/news/563421Shooting the same percentage on less attempts doesn't mean you are more efficient, in fact, the opposite.

A huge ass flying cockroach attacked me on my veranda today. I knew they could fly but I've never seen that shit before.

I'm just saying it seemed like it was the point they were trying to graze.
Blakeace with the ether…
Who the heck is Reilojica?
Another soft white bigman, you should be used to it by now
I hope Dudley gets it together. Still one of my favorite Bobcats ever.
I would give up on following basketball the day I realize I wrote that "one of my favorite players of my favorite team" was a 6 ppg nobody.

I liked him as a rookie just fine, and I still have some faith, but after last season, I would not count any Knick as "one of my favorites ever", except for Melo who would make it to the 3rd-team.

Thats a total hipster beard on flabby arms.
Seems like the Wolves did away with their sleeved jersey and brought back the regular black alts. They got my letters.

Well maybe they'll still wear them, but I didn't see any of the sleeves in the Wiggins jerseys they were hocking at the fair and on their website. Just the home whites, road blues and black alternates.Seems like the Wolves did away with their sleeved jersey and brought back the regular black alts. I can only hope they don't wear them anymore. I know the players don't like them.
