no waySo the Cavs apparently got Marion with Allen likely to followThis fucking disgusts me
Now they just need a backup big
LeBron going back to work with the young guys. "This won't be easy! It's a process!"
All he fucking did was jump ship from one superteam to the next one. Disguised by I'M COMING HOME I'M READY FOR THIS CHALLENGE CLEVELAND
A Heat fan complaining about this brings warm feelings to my heart.
I'm not really complaining about what HE did. I'm just wondering why the rest of the nation has decided to suddenly become stupid and stop analyzing every one of his actions like a teenage girl, as they had done for the past 4 years.
Really, I'm starting to think it's more that people don't like the city of Miami.
Its pretty clear that people not liking the city is a portion of it, But I stand by the statement that the hate is unwarranted. Fucking bullshit probably from people that are jealous. A few people leave a game 6? Ignore the fact that we have photos showing 99.9 percent of the people stayed in the stadium when Ray Allen took the shot, and instead show the same footage of 30 people out of THOUSANDS that left the game early....
Oh and also ignore people leaving other teams games early too, because that shit don't count.
Haters gonna hate man.
when you say 30 people is this a factor multiplying with another number? i haven't seen that many people running away from a disaster since i watched war footage of napalm hitting the cambodian jungle
Knicks To Hire Jim Cleamons As Assistant Coach
i'm not sure if Knicks fans should cry or feel ecstatic that they've basically got the coaching staff of the repeat Lakers ushering them into the next era.

if the cavs win 55 plus lebron wins it easilyThey'll win 60 easily.
It's still the East, even if it's slightly tougher overall this season.

Really they could just stop at 2. I don't see any way another player wins it this year.
Not *any* game, but I get your point. Even if Varejao misses major games, they should win 50 easily I'd think.if the cavs win 55 plus lebron wins it easilyThey'll win 60 easily.

Miami sleepwalked to 54 wins last season. They should win 60 easily. Their coach and defensive as huge question marks though.
Actually...
I'll say this: they'll win double the amount of games the Knicks will.

I know you hate my team, but that's a ridiculous statement. You're basically saying, Cavaliers win 60. Knicks win 30?
Not a chance.

Ehh not totally sure this team will win 60 games yet at least this season. Then again they'll be in try hard mode all year so who knows. The pieces do fit a bit more naturally (on paper on offense)
Part of Miami's success during his stint there was the stretches where they would go on insane runs, but part of that was fueled by defense. We have yet to see this team's M.O.

Totally within the realm of possibilities. The 2013 Raptors team had a similar makeup of the Knicks team (see above), more youth, AND more talent (Kyle Lowry and Derozan were better than Prigioni and JR by a bajillion miles) than this year's Knicks team and the Raptors only won 34 games in the same division.

So Derozan is better than a Healthy JR smith (you know smoty when he was last healthy a full season) by a Bajillion Miles? And Melo doesn't exist, nor the use of the triangle as well? SMH
Anyhow with that said the Knicks are hiring Jim Cleamons which is great because it puts another veteran assistant next to fisher.

So the 3 actual centers on the knicks roster don't exist? And reilo had to put 6 people there to make it seem like that shitty raptors lineup was a likely.
Were we supposed to be impressed with 34MPG JR Smith? You're joking, right?
Melo does exist, he's way better than Rudy Gay was on that 2013 Raptors team, but Melo ain't gonna do shit for you when the rest of the team is trash.
Use of the triangle... is that a cure-all for winning all the sudden? Especially with a rookie coach that was in the league a year ago? I can't wait for Andrea Bargnani being tasked to play out of the high-post and pass/play like Pau Gasol, or have him run the offense like Pippen and Odom. Gonna be great.
Who's the next best defensive player now? Shumpert? Wooh...

Your only real center was traded to the Mavericks.
Mavs won 49 games in the West last season and they took Felton's fat ass in return just to get Chandler back. Fuck outta here.

34mpg smith was the Smoty so yeah you should get impressed. And the rest of the team isn't trash the coaching was trash, and they didn't have their starting center for a chunk of the season with no real reliable backup. Lastly fuck yeah you might want to respect the triangle that system has won how many championships? Also did you read my post about them surrounding fisher with high quality assistants. They aren't throwing him to the wolves and chief Triangle runs the whole organization anyhow.
As for defense, we got to wait and see outside of PF the roster has decent defenders throughout.
You just traded away your starting center and replaced him with a backup that is half the player Chandler was. C'mon dude.
JR Smith has one good season under his belt chucking away and all the sudden he's the shit? Amazing.
Triangle was the reason the Bulls and Lakers won all those rings? Amazing.
Roster has decent defenders throughout besides PF? Amazing.

The only player off of that Raptors team who will be seeing and starting regular minutes is Calderon. Bargnani will be a bench bitch, as will especially Acy. We're also talking about two different environment, coaches, coaching staffs, and an entirely different crew of players that these former Raptors are coming to play with. I think you're reaching a bit way too much with this comparison, you know yourself that's just not how it works.
What's the Knicks projected line-up?
Calderon, JR, Melo, Amare, Dalembert?
Bres. That's not a winning team. Last season was the first time Calderon played on a winning team since 2007. Dalembert is a backup center. Amare is dead. Melo is 30. JR is a knucklehead and got his contract. Bargnani is Bargnani-bad. Outlaw sucks. Who the fuck is Quincy Acy?

Chandler didn't do shit last year. You know Chandler every so often has those years he sucks. Last year was that year. Anyhow how was he going to operate in the triangle? He can't shoot reliably, post reliably, or pass reliably. His value would of only gone down the longer he stayed and the more apparent it became that he didn't fit.
The triangle was A part reason the bulls and Lakers won. Yes. It wasn't the only reason, but considering how it kepts teams from doubling and tripling Kobe and Mike and got reliable minutes from role players on those teams (who often fell off when leaving the triangle) yeah it was a major factor. Denying that is like saying the spurs beat the heat based on talent alone last year.
Yeah man I didn't say good defenders but they aren't outright bad (and thus will need to be hidden) outside of 4 players.
When I think of a big that shoots reliably and passes well, I think Andrea Bargnani and Samuel Dalembert.
Bargnani 3PT% last three seasons: 29.6%, 30.9%, 27.8%
Bargnani APG for his career: 1.2
Calderon, JR, Bargnani, Amare, Outlaw are one of the the worst defenders at their position in all of the NBA. Holy shit mang.

No one knows. It'll likely be a mixture of
Calderon, JR, Shump, Melo, Dalembert
Calderon, TimJR, JR, Melo, Amare
And what you wrote above. I don't expect amazing defense from any lineup, but the triangle has many times proven you don't need the biggest guys in the league to win games. You just need to plug holes, pay attention to passing lanes, stay with your man and don't give up easy shots.
When I think of a big that shoots reliably and passes well, I think Andrea Bargnani and Samuel Dalembert.
Still they do it better than Chandler, anyhow that deal was to get an upgrade at PG and some picks youth.
Barg is going to likely be behind Amare and at least dalembert, Aldrich, and smith have shown they can score in the paint without it being a rebound or an alley opp.
Also when do bits shoot 3pts in the triangle on purpose (except bynum trolling) and their is a good chance the Knicks waive outlaw to keep the Greek freaks brother as a prospect.
No one wins shit. The season hasn't even started yet. Talk all you want after the first 20 games. None of this matters today, it's all baseless speculation because the circumstances have changed
Y'all just namedropped Cole Aldrich.
I win.
Come on Reilo don't pull that BS joke shit, I'm not losing when I named him as being better offensively than chandler. Did you even watch him last year or in summer league?
loooooool
I can't even. You guys are buying into the Cole Aldrich experiment. Please tell me you're joking.

Stop talking about cole aldrich bruh, your changing the subject.
Anyhow I'll say it again with the pacers out of the running. The knicks should make the playoffs. Idk how people see losing the worse starting pg in the league and a center who missed about a quarter of the season and came back sucking (and wouldn't fit anyway) make the knicks worse. Or that they are running a system where teams can't just double/triple Melo (which is what most teams do) make them worse. Or that JR smith is back healthy (like he was near the end of the season when he starting avg abou 18 pg) make them worse..... outside of just knicks Hate.
Stop talking about Cole Aldrich? I didn't bring him up.
Your front-line is garbage. You brought up Aldrich as proof that it isn't...
You're worse because a 55-game Chandler is still infinite miles better than a 70-game Dalembert. By the time Chandler came back the Knicks were already fucked.
Teams will still be able to double and triple team Melo. Adding the triangle won't change that. What makes the triangle lethal is by having the right personnel run it. The Knicks don't have that. Andrea Bargnani isn't a high-post player. He isn't gonna magically turn into a Lamar Odom type player. You're nuts if you think the system is what will magically change that.

Amare had a few monster series against SAS.
Melo is the Knicks' only good player and he's barely top 15 in the league. Everyone else on the team is bad to mediocre, mostly bad. Coached by Fisher. The Knicks will suck.
Amare lit prime Duncan up in the '05 WCFman amare was a fucking monsterHe was pretty amazing before his knees went. I still remember the Suns-Spurs game on ABC that season where he went off and carried them in the fourth quarter.

Yeah I brought up aldrich as part of a package of 3 centers. Woodson ran a one center a game lineup. Dalembert should see about 20 mpg a game with Smith behind him and aldrich as the third string. Even then all 3 of them can score in the paint better than Chandler. I didn't say they were better overall Centers (though who knows if Chandler has a bounce back year) but all 3 will likely operate better i the triangle because none of them are as offensively inept. Chandler needed to either finish alley oops or rebound the majority of his points. Thats not going to work i the triangle.
As for Barg he is behind Amare who can actually work in the post, and teams couldn't double or triple Melo with a healthy JR out there because JR was a legit scoring threat. So having Calderon and Timmy Jr out there aren't legit scoring options? Offensively Calderon is great for the triangle, and all of the knicks 2 guards (shump included) have shown they can catch and shoot. A major problem last year was Woodson wanted everybody to ISO or just camp at the 3 pt line with a defender on them. Anyone who couldn't ISO wasn't going to be able to contribute, so talent besides iso went wasted.
The triangle isn't that rigid of a system look at all the scrubs who have contributed to good teams under it. A playoff berth is far from crazy for the knicks. Like the argument about their defense will be valid when they suffer for it in the playoffs, but the knicks are still playing in the East and their talent isn't the issue (outside of injury), the clusterfuck of an offense was the issue alongside 2 starters who didn't do shit the whole year.
