Good experiment. Let's see how it plays out.
Everything about baseball feels too long.
Seriously. with the invention of all of the amazing action packed sports that have come about since the inception of baseball you'd think people would stop watching a sport where the majority of every player's (sans-pitchers) time is spent standing or sitting in the same damn spot during those 4 hours.
Eh, i'm ok with the longer break. Particularly if it helps in anyway lower injury chances. And gives players time to heal up some of those niggling injuries.
It's a long break. Sure. But maybe the NBA will use it to figure out how to make the all-star weekend relevant.

Barkley on Heat fans: "If they don't cheer LeBron there's something wrong with them."
Hey Charles, how about you don't fucking tell me how to think and feel?
If I'm there I would clap for him as a thank you, then boo the shit out of him. Heat fans are in a bad spot though. If we cheer for him "They're all LeBron fans anyways" if we boo "Oh what a bunch of ingrates"
Congrats America you've cornered us in again.
28 nationally televised games for the Lakers :lol:3 things are certain in life. death, taxes and lakers on national tv.
ead, hater.
Vahagn is good peeps in my book.I can hear the Armenian whip cracking all the way to Oregon.
My wife actually dislikes most Armenians.
I just never found him to be as annoying and offensive as most others. Sure he says some funny fanatical stuff, but he doesn't just spout it without at least trying to put thought and rationale behind it. The same can't be said about LBJ/Miami fairweather fans like MVP and Pimp.
PEACE.
Im glad the Lakers are on TV so much, train wrecks never get old.
Also it could be fun to watch the young talent they have like... ummm... nevermind

Nobody watched or cared about those national TV Laker games last year but the NBA doesn't care I guess.
Knicks schedule seriously looks easy as fuck. I just looked at it, and there are 50 easily winnable games there. I say they'll put together another season similar to the 2012-2013 one with over 50 games won. It just looks like Phil Zen Mastered the fuck out of whoever put this together...

Phil Jackson moved the Knicks to the East confirmed.

Breh, I realize it's the East but lol
I'm not really surprised by the Lakers having 28 games, but they should probably be allowed to flex this shit more or something, Kobe's still an attraction but who knows if he still has it together in February and March?
Now if Beasley signs there........I am all fucking in.

People will pay to watch Gimp Kobe just like they watched Wizards Jordan. They don't deserve to have a Christmas slot, but if he's playing the ratings won't be a problem.

Fuckball on national TV. smh
The Clippers 32 nationally televised games is the highest number in franchise history, with the Clippers scheduled to appear four times on ABC, nine times on TNT, 10 times on ESPN and nine times on NBA TV
Oh, yeah.
Wow we might win an opener for the first time in history.
Also I realize that the NBA teams like local broadcasts cause they make more money on them but having professional teams with 0 national games is awful and needs to be fixed with the upcoming TV deal.

They probably won't move Lakers games off the schedule, though.

I agree, they need to do a much better job of promoting young players, and there is one on every single team worthy of watching.

which is great if you wanna watch basketball to see grown men get really good at jogging and passing a ball around
not so good if you wanna watch men fly, syphon.
bit of a philosophical difference

People would rather watch the Lakers than most teams, even when we suck.Yeah people would, just not Laker fans.
Get over it.
As a Lakers fan I will NOT be watching many of those games. Ugh. Give me some entertaining teams like the Blazers.
At least the East games will be a lot more entertaining this season. I'll tune in to watch the Cavs, Heat, Bulls, Hornets, Wiz, Raps, Nets, Knicks (for the lulz), and even the Czzzz to see how my boy Marcus Smart is doing.
But yeah, it sucks how much we're going to have to watch the Lakers, who aren't even trying to be good.
And the fact that we're being deprived of national broadcasts of Mavs-Rox is criminal. Those will be great games this year.

Incredible. In studies even lab rats have learned to avoid pain by this point.
