By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostTook long enough for a ring match fix. It would be nice to be able to play friends without it turning into a guessing game, as to if we'll play or not.truly a degenerate.
Real scumbag shit. How can you block a character that you can't actually see? lol
once he gets that corner and a knockdown he turns the game into x23's level 3 in marvel as long as soon as he gets meter. you catch the shots liston threw at Nakkiel?
nakkiel was in the stream chat saying shit like "someone guard cancel that. PLEASE" and liston comes later with "in order to guard cancel you gotta block it first...." while spooky and yipes just fell out the chair.
Set was fire.
GO1 got away with a lot of raw tags.
A.Gohan can keep you blocking way to long. As much as this game was built to force you into a reset, he's the argument for pushblock. Level 1 probably shouldn't be as strong as it is.
Hit, by himself...yikes. Man needs all of the help.

I'm always kinda shocked at how Teen Gohan and Gotenks are missing. People want to roll with Ginyu when he can't function without momentum but they get zero burn? Maybe I'm weird.
Also the "no true knockdowns" for 21 seems waaaaaaaaaay overblown still. Her air command throws force all kinds of dumb shit....

sonic bushed the hit, black and blake griffin team?
By domino Go To Postsonic bushed the hit, black and blake griffin team?hit's shenanigans are starting to not be an ace in the hole anymore. i don't blame him tbh... high level players are gonna eventually key in on that.
Beerus in the corner is pretty godlike. I think he got slept on a lot early in the game's life because everyone was still thinking superdashing through projectiles made him less powerful or something. Neutral being a focus again definitely makes him shine.
It has been fun. Gonna invite some mates round for a play at the weekend. Should be fun boozing and playing.
By s y Go To Postyep. dy and faze don't actually have the game. They just talk about it.
I'm having to completely learn the genre. I've never been a fighting game guy. I don't know how people don't drop combos all the time honestly.
Bro you're not playing sonicfox and Go1 on slaent lol. We're all trash. Game is fun wto fuck around in.
I don't even know any block strings and I've played like 45 hours.

So Trunks, Freiza, And Veggie.
I love using Trunk’s sword. Best part of the game so far.

There are some universal non auto combos that are easy to pull off as well. Game is very beginner friendly. The combo challenges help as well.
smh
there is no damned way i can play this outside of hawaii. i'd love to wipe the floor with some of yal but i couldn't get past a 7 frame delay before

I absolutely suck at this game.
It is depressing as hell.
I haven’t won a single match online.
I need to do some of those combo challenges.
This is defo the last fightng game I buy.

i wouldn't leave training mode until nailing down a few go-to combos....
but more importantly (and this is for all arcsys/anime games) sit in the training room, turned the CPU up 70 or above, and just BLOCK
there's nothing more important in any fighting game than being able to defend yourself. Get used to the speed of the game at its highest and most unrealistic levels by just getting an understanding of what and how to block. once you get comfortable with that, just something as basic as defense, you'll immediately be better than the majority of players online

Thanks for the pointers, will give that a try now
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostThanks for the pointers, will give that a try nowbest advice i ever got and the one bit i repeat the most years later
when you can block, you not only stop damage - but you give the match a real pace. there's no rush to out-damage the other guy. also, blocking/defending is one of the best ways to force mistakes and identify vulnerabilities in your opponent's game.
if you never leave the school of mashing, blocking will still be the difference between you and most of free world

Thanks, i had a 30 minutes session at 30 cpu and then played some games and can already notice a difference.
Will gradually increase the cpu level.

After 30 minutes I doubled my average fight time.

This was basically how I got good at Tekken back in HS. Against like 80% of players I could block, duck and bait anything I needed to. Now I'm buns though :p
I've always been impressed by peoplr who are good at multiple fighters. It's one thing to execute offensively. But to just be able to have the memory bank of how everything looks coming out, all the defensive and movement options, situations, move properties, punishable shit, etc is incredible to me. I would forget a good 70% of that shit when I'd switch from game to game. Now I just don't have time for it.

Yeah, the guy SY recommended sounds like a pretty good multi fighter.

Bardock looks fun. Kinda wondering how much of a deterrent to mindless rushdown he's gonna be. One bar looks to mean that you'll get bopped for mashing jabs incessantly.
Broly seems weird, but I'm not looking forward to him setting anything up for 16. Getting tossed into the corner with an actual projectile tracking you, and 16 hiding in the explosion seems nightmarish. I dunno though.
Bardock looks like a waste of a dlc character
Brolly really depends on what kind of grabs he's got. He's gotta have some nasty stuff because I imagine he's 16 slow sans a dragon rush.

Broly has armor on damn near everything so.... yeah lol. Anyone who's dealt with Potemkins and Tagers should know how shit is gonna be with him most likely. At the same time, I want to see how his hitbox looks for those same reasons. Those other games have a lot of ways to make attacks safe or escape from bad situations - there's no burst mechanic in DBFZ so if you whiff with Broly, I'd hate to see the mixtape Adult Gohan drops on you.
Bardock is.... I don't know. Need to see more hands-on stuff. But having a 1 bar invincible super is pretty fucking amazing no matter what. The fact that you can extend off of it is even crazier. The lack of neutral is kinda concerning though.
