PUBG isn't a failure on falling off in any way. It's playerbase issl still really high. Don't fall for FakeNews.
Obviously AAA BR games are going to wipe it when it comes to polish, and they should be miles ahead of where they are, #FixPUBG, but the notion that it's dying is way off.

And the only fake news is you playing games at all
It all changes today. That was the old me. I'm borne again.
From reddit
Tweaking attritition:
More ammo on spawn.
More max ammo capacity.
Medpack on spawn.
Improving visibility:
Adding a haze to the background to make enemies stand out.
Fixing some lighting issues (notably in Rotterdam).
Fine tuning lighting in specific locations.
Death experience and pacing:
Devs agree with the community that current death timer made the game pacing too slow.
Devs want highs and lows moments in the game, but find that the high moments are not high enough, they want moments of pure chaos, this is partially caused because soldier spend more time on the ground waiting to respawn.
Tweaking "bleeding out" time, you are not punished anymore if you decide to hang on. The spawn timer is reduced.
Audio immersion:
Fixed the audio bugs which contributed to make the game too silent. Audio should feel like war once again.
Time to kill and time to death:
Trying to find that sweet spot to cater to both players who love it or hate it.
From the data, players have learned to move closer to cover to avoid getting killed too easily.
Certain weapons stand out (as being popular and more effective at most engagement distance), "won't name specifics *cough*STG*cough*". Those are gonna be tweaked to "bring them into the fold" (aka nerfed).
Confirmed Netcode issues in regards to Time to death, "you receive more damage than you should be in one update, which is due to packet loss, netcode, delays and high rate of fire weapons". Currently looking into fixing this.
Vehicles:
Beta testers felt that the tanks were too slow/heavy and not offensive enough against infantry, but dev says the more agile/anti-infantry tanks weren't in the open beta, as well as anti-aircraft vehicles.
Show some new maps and other stuff in the actual video.
Beta was actually a beta which some people couldn't fully grasp.

I'm the furthest thing from a fan of PUBG but the idea that it's dying is laughable to me.
Every game has a playerbase that waxes and wanes, but when your average is at 100,000,00, your wanes look worse when you lose 20-30% of your playerbase compared to games with 50,000 average players losing the same percentage.
Plus it's only a PS4 release away from doubling it's numbers.
By alt sy Go To PostNobody on PS4 is leaving fortnite or blackout to play janky pubg
You'll eat those words like you ate that purple onion taco.
By diehard Go To PostPUBG is the only game i play consistently nowSame. It's gotta be approaching the "longest I've played an online game for" mark by now, with CS still holding the crown. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in an alternate universe where PUBG doesn't have 10% of the problems some people keep whining about.
I obviously can't be sure, but I've only ever recorded two instances in which I was clearly killed by a cheater and that was a year ago.
Framerates have been high and stable on my 7700k / 1080 combo for more than 6 months now. No complaints whatsoever.
I don't care for skins and all that crap (okay, I did buy Shroud's, but only to mock a buddy who bought DrDisrespect's skin, I swear), so the supposed monetization problem doesn't affect me in the slightest and I don't know why it should affect anyone with a modicum of self-control.
There have been some glaring issues with netcode in the past, like the infamous desync era, and sometimes an update will fuck some things up, but they've been rather quick to respond and patch things up. They're getting a lot better at it, certainly since Sanhok hit, which is the real game changer.
In my experience the vast majority of the people complaining about PUBG consists of:
- Fortnite (and soon Blackout) dweebs
- people who are shit at the game
- people who think it's still the same janky game it was a month after the initial release
- people with a shitty PC
- Xbox owners
- people with no friends to play it with
By far the highest amount of gaming enjoyment I've ever gotten out of the 25€ or so I paid for it. Glad I let myself be convinced to get into it when I did. I'm not sure for how long I'll keep at it, because the group of people I play with is defenitely starting to feel some serious PUBG or rather BR fatigue after a year of religious playing.
I imagine I'll keep coming back to it in the months and years to come, as long as they keep adding new maps and features. I thought I might be switching to Blackout, but the beta didn't exactly lit a fire under my ass and none of my PUBG buds seem eager to start another BR game. It's fine and all, COD has just never been my thing. I'd say I'll give it a try in a couple of months, but by that time the new PUBG map will be out, so ...
TL;DR: DY_nasty is wrong about everything.

What's the company that did the Bionic Commando game among others (Grin), and you just felt holy fuck this is far beyond you let alone the other properties you're trying to service.
Currently feel the same way about Avalanche.

Conservatively speaking an FTE in the bay area might run you $150,000 a year, that's $60M a year in payroll alone, and again, that's just a conservative estimate
Move your studio to Canada and you might be able to cut that in half.
