By pilonv1 Go To PostThe grind isn't that bad if you're a scoring archetype and it's much better than 2k18. You can get up to about 1500 VC per game if you play well and the drills directly affect badge progress this year.
For defensive players it's a grind if you're trying to get to your attribute caps. The non MyCareer game modes are really good this year too.
Grinding my rebounding defender is annoying
The drills get your shit up way faster. Are you playing Career games on 12 minutes? I've always done 12, but not sure if I should just say fuck it and do 5 minute quarters so I can get to drills faster.
Also is HOF Stopper or Rim protector better to get first? I decided to pursue stopper. Got too many HOF badges to pursue lol
Destiny 2 update took so long to install that I ended up playing Spidey instead. Still barely started but god damn I don't think I'll ever get sick of the swinging.
Also just met MJ and the Stan Lee cameo was amazing.

I think quick games and drills is better at the start. Last year I did 7-8 mins because VC was so shit and you'd maybe get 500VC if you were lucky. Drills also didn't guarantee any XP for badges. This year with a base contract of 800-1k per game plus grade/stats/endorsements possibly getting up to 1.5k I've been doing 5 min games to get more VC and do more drills. You get some bonus team drills every 3-5 games too. Later some gold/HOF badges like the shooting ones you'll want to move to 12 minute games and just cherry pick and throw up 80 shots a game.
According to Mike Wang they're tripling the XP for rebounds in NBA games from tomorrow.

Rim protector is basically layups and dunks, defensive stopper is everything else. I had both last year and they were god tier in Park. This year they seem even better, and this is a really good overview

"It still feels like a kick in the nuts".
Years later, NBA 2K software engineer Shawn Lee should be over it. His company won and is now a gaming juggernaut. Last year, NBA 2K18 sold more than 10 million copies and was the No. 2-selling game in the United States, ahead of Zelda, Mario, Star Wars and Grand Theft Auto. NBA 2K has its own professional esports league, which is backed by the NBA. Some of the league's biggest superstars…
..Yet even now, Lee remains salty about what happened in 2004…
…Looking back, it all seems so improbable: Once upon a time, NBA 2K was just an underdog game made by an underdog company. How did it get here? Before it could thrive, it had to survive. And its success was born of failure. That's the story you haven't heard—a story that starts with the biggest fumble in the history of sports games.

it's an article. i know it's hard for you to comprehend without the magic enhancements, but you can ignore it, like most do with you and KH3.
I for one, enjoy seeing Smokey's raw passion this 2K thing but i have absolutely zero clue what it's about.

Was just about to post the video for that. Tekken 3's on there, so that's fucking neato.

Coincidentally Smokey doesn't either
Emulating on PC is the only way to make PS1 games not look fucking awful (texture perspective correction).
Can't you get most of these PS1 games on PSN these days?

Higher resolutions can't save you from games consisting of exactly 7 polygons.

You can fix image and texture stability and (I think) frame rate issues too.

even if you can, that's not the point of these devices.

Ooooooh, I like it. What is the point of these devices? (I feel a deeply excoriating punchline coming)

?
it's just that "i can play this somewhere else" doesn't matter when it comes to those mini devices. a good junk of people that bought an nes mini doesn't even own a modern console or knows what an emulator is. it's a nostalgia play for hardcore fans and casuals.
the amount of random people that hit me up for a nes mini was staggering.
I want to laugh at how pointless this is but if tomorrow Sony decides to make an mp3 player shaped like the original walkman I'm in day one.

Lining the pockets of scalpers.
These mini consoles are for rubes who enjoy giving certain companies money and are just looking for the slightest reason to do it. Nostalgia alone cannot possibly justify spending £70 on a throwback with a load of games that people only pretend to want to replay.
Having said that, I'm a massive hypocrite and would buy a PS2 classic if it came with Burnout 3, SSX3 and Timesplitters 2 even though I know from experience that the rose tinted glasses only last for a couple of hours before I move onto something new.
I bought PlayStation AllStars at release and never played it, dark days

yes it can and it did (and will do again).
The only classic system I'll buy if they made another GBA Micro but with preloaded games inside.
I love that thing.
I love that thing.
The NES and SNES Classics are stupid easy to hack and get a lot more games. Worth it just for that, iMO.

it's just pressing two buttons and it's in a nice small device you can put in front of your tv. controller included.
By Hitch Go To PostSurely its even easier to get those same games running on an emulator on PC?Yeah, of course.
Although purists will frown at it because there's some latency while using those emulators but you should only worry about that if you are so much of a loser you have no actual worries in your life.

Cheaper, but not really easier. You need to download the emulator, install it and all that jazz, then source ROMs which means going the legal route and ripping them yourself from your collection of PS1 games that you totally still have laying around (Ha).
Vs
Buying a device with games pre loaded and plugging it in.
I'd be happy to subscribe to Nintendo making an actual netflix style games service for its classic SNES games.
By Hitch Go To PostSurely its even easier to get those same games running on an emulator on PC?Way easier with a program called Hakchi. It essentially installs itself when you plug the SNES/NES Classic into your computer.

Shooting 47% from three with a Pure lockdown that has a 58-63 three ball, went 3/3 on threes in a game with what should be a non shooter, never change 2k.
