By Laboured Go To PostIt's like reading a description of why I never get into any online MP game ever.
Plenty of multiplayer where all you unlock is stuff not affecting gameplay like skins.
By Zabojnik Go To PostThe majority of the FPS games I've played fixed most of their big issues within the first couple of months. From my experience, the people that constantly bitch about supposed game breaking bugs are people who are either shit at playing said games or just plain don't like them and / or will latch on to any negative, however small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things, to ascertain their vidyagame superiority.
If I listened to to every shithead with a "10 reasons why I don't play BF4, BF1, PUBG …" video or post I'd miss out on some of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Other mangs' thoughts in 2018 brehs.
Did you play Battlefield 4 at release? Shit was straight up unplayable for quite some time. I remember trying so many times with several members from here, and Wes.... and we would have the most random ass bugs. Now constant crashes and servers dying was one thing, which made you not want to play it. Another was bugs such as sound just... Disappearing for everyone on the server for 5 to 10 minutes randomly. and it took fucking months for them to properly fix. I get that there will be fixes to multiplayer games, but at least having it somewhat stable without game breaking bugs for months should be a pretty realistic goal.
I really used to like the battlefield series a lot. BF2 is one of my all time favorite online shooters, and Bad Company 2 was pretty good as well. These days I am just so detached from battlefield. Feels like they always have the same old issues at release (although hopefully never as bad as BF4 again), and the same old unreliable at best hit detection, coupled with some extremely over powered few things, that rewards just doing that instead of being creative with the tools you have,
pubg was early access forever, wasnt it? Kind of comes with the territory there at least.

I'm not defending that shit. I was well aware of it too, so I joined 3-4 months in, by which time it was ... mostly fine. Same goes for PUBG. I think I started playing it in June 2017, which was again 3-4 months after the initial release. It took them a while to get things into good shape, another 3-4 months at least, but it was very much playable and enjoyable.

I feel you on Battlefield. I did like what I played of BF5, but I'm not sure I want to get into BF again. It's not really a matter of hit detection or balance or whatever, I just feel like I've had my fill of that brand of shooting over the past 5 years. Not one of my mates is pushing to move on from PUBG / battle royale either, which is another contributing factor. Think we'll be well into 2019 before I consider giving it a go.
Speaking of PUBG, the new map has been datamined. Looks like it'll be closer to Erangel than Sanhok in size. Kind of wanted another small map.
3 months is a pretty silly amount of time to have to wait for a massive game to be fixed. A lot of BF4's issues were inexcusable to have been there when it released.
PUBG was a mess, but it was made by a studio nobody had ever heard of and had the small excuse of calling itself early access.
I want another shooter to get into, but even if BF5 was looking great, WW2 games aren't my glass of Fanta Fruit Twist. Somewhat intrigued by CoD's battle royale mode, but I have no expectation that it will be any good.

By alt sy Go To PostCy games.they have in-house studios that develop console games now?
By rvy Go To Postthey have in-house studios that develop console games now?Yeah, they're moving into that space now that they're super rich. They even sent a legion of devs to Platinum to work on that GranBkue RPG.
Also, project awakening is a PS5 game. The animations and visuals are pretty stunning. Fox Engine guy is doing the engine.
By Flutter Go To PostShadow of Tomb Raider's review are mixed so far. It's at an 82 on OC? That's pretty good.
My copy is gonna be here on Friday. Pretty excited about it. I loved Rise.

Nagoshi is the king of reusing assets
By rerixo Go To Postyea give it a few years and cy games gonna comfortably be the best technical devs in japanAre you ignoring Capcom or?
By data Go To PostNagoshi is the king of reusing assetsMore devs should. If you're not making new assets for gameplay reasons why are you even wasting money? All these games just wanna be interactive movies, keep the same asset and spend your money hiring better writers.
By RobNBanks Go To PostMore devs should. .Literally all games do. Ubisoft is the king of this.

Square needs to focus their efforts on making My Life as a King available on more platforms since it's the best Crystal Chronicles-related thing.

In Lara's internal monologues at campfires though, she's constantly reflecting. One time, she recalls how foolish she felt in thinking Paititi would be a bunch of ruins and not a thriving city. Her internal thoughts are always along those lines, being surprised at people's actions and cultural touchpoints that anyone else wouldn't be surprised about.

By Kibner Go To PostNice. With online multi can finally play this the way it was intended without it costing hundreds of dollars.
By Laboured Go To PostBlackout looks like a PS3 game.Yeah, at least it's 60fps. What's Bungies excuse?

They're as bad as each other for differing reasons.
Hopefully the PC version scrubs up (much like D2).
