Electronic Arts said Thursday that the company did not purposely omit Colin Kaepernick's name from a song it licensed for its latest game.
The video game maker came under fire when it was discovered by a Twitter user that Kaepernick's name was censored from YG's song "Big Bank," which is used in the soundtrack for "Madden NFL 19."
"We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack," EA said in a statement issued Thursday evening. "Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don't have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn't affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again. We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all of their fans and our players for this mistake."

My dad was the one who played MGS1. Just goes to show that even kids from an abusive home, can turn out well.
Up to level 11 in BLOPS 4 beta. All in TDM. Things are unlocking and getting a better feel for the game. The shooting feels good, but that's expected. I think the increased TTK and dedicated healing button is a good move after getting used to it. The absence of grenades took me a second to get used to, but I think that was a good move too. Im already enjoying it more than WWII, which I felt BF1 did better . It lends itself to that style more than COD, while the BLOPS/IW style is clearly CODs bag. Performance seems spotty on my Pro tho. I'm sure they'll get that fixed by release but it definitely drops from 60 at times, and is noticeable. Need to dig in more this weekend to uncover more of the meta.
Got me really interested to see how they pull off the Blackout BR mode in next months beta.
