By Dark PhaZe Go To PostFunny thing is Mass Effect Andromeda is a decent enough combination of what 1 was going with but with the better combat of the other games + one of the better casts, and yet people act like it's the Devil May Cry 2 of the series. It's not great by any means, but it's a very solid effort from a B team.It was a horrible game
By Kibner Go To Postoh hey, drama costing people jobs, again:
Is this a fire-able offense?
By Kibner Go To Postthe rest of this tweet thread is good, too:Uh, this isn’t good. Both of these women are completely crazy. The guy *was* respectful and offered a different idea and explained why. And then the writer jumped straight into “ugh, mansplaining! Look at this awful person, everybody!” Which, of course, is going to send undeserved venom his way, affecting what he does for a living (or part of one).
His response that this tweet thread is criticizing does have a bit of a barb to it, but not an unearned one given how out of line the original reply was. By internet standards it’s nothing. And this woman in one breath breaking out the “how dare you have a different idea, you don’t do this for a living” then moving right into “I don’t do this for a living but I absolutely know you’re wrong” is too much.
98% of the time in this sort of dispute the women are in the right, but this so clearly isn’t one of them.
The firing was heavy handed and dumb, but that’s a separate issue.

He was pulling off that polite shithead thing trolls do.

That's not respectful. That is completely disingenuous.
By Kibner Go To PostNo. The dude was not respectful. He was pulling off that polite shithead thing trolls do.Sorry man, I just think this is unreasonable. He’s passive aggressive in a not-overly-nasty way and then disengaging with her, after she was outright aggressive and insulting. He’s not going after her personally or trying to bait her. This guy really hasn’t done anything wrong, she deserved a bit of pushback after she teed off on him for no reason.

This guy really hasn’t done anything wrong, she deserved a bit of pushback after she teed off on him for no reason. He is trying to bait her by, after reading her work with the narrative systems, tells her a "simple" solution to it that doesn't address the problems she encountered.
If he wasn't trying to bait her, he would ask her why something like his solution wouldn't work. Not tell her that it would, despite having no experience in the matter.
By Kibner Go To PostNo. The dude was not respectful. He was pulling off that polite shithead thing trolls do.I mean I don't see how? The twitter thread makes it genuinely seem like Derior was just interested in having a conversation with Price. Unless the dude has a history of trolling I'm not aware of, it honestly didn't seem like a "I'm just asking questions here" moment to me.

By Kibner Go To PostHe is trying to bait her by, after reading her work with the narrative systems, tells her a "simple" solution to it that doesn't address the problems she encountered.Have you had a chance to read his initial response? There’s no hint of sarcasm or trolling about it, he never says his solution is simple. He’s very complimentary of her:

He even qualifies his point with a “perhaps players would,” he doesn’t try to put himself over on her as the true expert. Like I have no idea what else a human being could reasonably be expected to do to communicate that they have a different idea but aren’t trying to be disrespectful. Her response is coming from some imaginary paradigm where nobody outside a dev team can have thoughts about something they’re involved in - in this case literally partnered.

"I agree with her though, she didn't ask for your opinion and you came to her personal Twitter to unnecessarily dump your opinion on to her"
lol. for gods sake, don't reply to people publicly posting stuff on twitter. what if they didnt want your opinion!
Part of me is just tired of unsolicited opinions tossed at people randomly, another part of me is "fuckin lol twitter public convo out there for anyone to jump in" tho and the last part of me is "lol game development" due to my Destiny 2 bitterness lately.
By Kuma Go To Postyou weeboo shaming!?!not at all
granblue looks weaboo and I'd buy it if it gets released over here
Just feel like creatives shouldn’t openly bother with Twitter. Use a discreet account. Nerds treat you like a fucking customer service channel. Otherwise just do what Kamiya does and make that the standard acceptable behaviour for creatives. Anet are pricks.
By data Go To Postsounds like destinyeh, for all its faults, Destiny's moment to moment engagements are more involved and frenetic and have a weight to them - still the best in class fps feeling out there.
Wont judge Anthem fully till ll the classes are given a good showing. Its still a long ways off
By rerixo Go To Postarenanet fucking sucks but i'd fire that woman tooI don't think she deserved to get fired over it. It's not like she's in customer service lol. At worst ArenaNet should have made her issue a public apology and that's it.
what a shitty attitude

Naw naw naw this is gaslighting
This ‘Credit where it’s due’ trophy in Driveclub is ridiculous. It takes literally hundreds of races.
I did win the legendary tour on gold star difficulty though. It wasn’t as bad as I thought once I realized that the Pagani Zonda is the god car.

By Kibner Go To PostA lot of the Red Hot Chilipeppers songs are fun to play on Rock Band.Which instruments? I find the guitar charts aren't really that fun, minus a few exceptions like Dani California.
By rodeoclown Go To PostWhich instruments? I find the guitar charts aren't really that fun, minus a few exceptions like Dani California.Mostly guitar and bass. Hadn't done much percussion with them.
e: i play on expert, if that matters. can't do the Snow song on guitar on that difficulty, though. would need to actually practice it. :(
By Kibner Go To PostMostly guitar and bass. Hadn't done much percussion with them.Oh, I always play on expert, too. Maybe it's just my general indifference to their music then?

By Kuma Go To PostStein Gate beastly. Would recommend if you into visual novels. Now go play 0 while all the details are still fresh (because you need to remember ALL of it). I actually liked it better for the most part.
