I'll sleep on it and see how i feel tomorrow thank you for understanding.
By s y Go To PostI enjoyed Arkham Knight, the kind of overdid the batmobile missions though. You’re joking right? The Witcher 3 is Batman with two swords. The same basic combat, the same forced detective vision, the same shitty controlling ride (batmobile/roach)
By Laboured Go To PostPls we agree on pixel art. You’re forgiven
Roach controls far worse than the Batmobile, and the combat in TW3 doesnt hold a candle to that in the Arkham games
Witcher vision is far uglier than Batman vision too, though they're different shades of shit
They badly overdid the Batmobile stuff though, there was no need to base entire missions and side content around it

Welp, me and xcom:woc had a nice run. Getting one shot all of a sudden. Very sudden difficulty spike. Going to need a lot of researching and supply gathering to deal and avatar levels are getting high. RIP

My avatar bar rolled into the final countdown and I just did the first story mission. You get 15 days extra, to save your campaign.

Yea I got that and was able to roll it back four bars or so but I'll probably have to do 4 missions that I'm undergeared for before I can get the equipment I need to deal with the new threats...and I ain't got the patience right now lol

By RobNBanks Go To PostI got Arkham Knight with my 970, Destiny 2 was a free game and now the crew 2I got Mafia 3 with my gpu
So I guess good games just don’t come bundled with GPUs.
Didn't download it because it required me to check the back of the box to get some code and enter into a website, cant be bothered with that stuff
Google will probably be one of a few companies that can properly stream games, considering they actually have a fantastic server architecture in place. What will make or break it for them if they manage to get the license to stream it though, especially how who has the control to publish an ip can differ from region to region.
I dont know how mobile phone gaming can compete with PC or console in the next few years, considering the fragile nature of a mobile phone chipset + shit battery life. At the best they will get to a point where graphical differences will be minimal. Game controls and AI will probably be an issue.
Of course, all this probably wouldnt matter because all kids from now on will have mobile phones and I will have to live in a post-mobile multiplayer games hellscape.

@Gurthang there's nothing in Captain Spirit about child illnesses or anything, it's primarily about imagination and grief
It also reaffirms Dontnods position as the top studio in that genre, and it ain't even close. Telltale can release a new property every other week and Quantic Dream can be given billions, but they don't come close.
Faces need some work, but the engine seems miles better than it was in the first Life is Strange as well, there are some beautiful shots.
As far as free teasers go, they knocked it out the park imo. I needed convincing that I wanted a new LiS, and thought the first one was probably lightning in a bottle, but I can't wait to play LiS2 now

Capcom is looking to keep SFV in the realm of Esports in the long term. There will be another season of SFV and it will have 6 characters: Poison, Makoto, an unnamed female character, Goutetsu, Ingrid, and Kazuya Mishima. The characters might not be released in that order either. G is going to be announced at EVO at minimum. Viper, Sodom, Q, and Oro will be released for free at some point in the future for free, with Sodom and Viper aiming to be released this summer.
MvC:I is getting an update called Marvel vs Capcom Ultra. It will be announced on EVO Sunday after SFV grand finals. Marvel approached Capcom for an update to the game to advertise Avengers 4. The game is no longer a 2v2 but back to a 3v3. The game will play like Infinite, but will ditch the stones. The game is targeting a Q2 2019 release and will have more Capcom than Marvel characters to balance out the roster. Everyone from Infinite returns, including the DLC. The game is a standalone game due to whole game being reworked from the ground up.
Marvel's characters added are Wolverine, Magneto, Deadpool, Dr.Doom, Phoenix, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Ant-Man.
Capcom characters added are Jill, Captain Commando, Asura, Gene, Mega Man, Vergil, Gill, Leon, and Akuma.

KT: Which game is your favourite so far this E3?
GC: What, other than Wattam?
KT: [laughs] Yeah, yeah.
GC: Well, nothing you’d like I think, but maybe Cyberpunk 2077.
KT: Did you play it?
GC: You can’t play it, just watch a 50 minute demo. They don’t exactly say but it looks like it’s going to be running on next gen consoles.
KT: Oh. [laughs] So it is just about the graphics?
GC: Well, not just… Look, you asked me!
KT: [laughs]

you know whats crazy
fucked around and played battlefront 2 on PC yesterday on my 4k tv--bruh, I was averaging around 45 FPS in the 40 player game mode on high settings at 4k native
engine kind of a beast
was thinking I'd definitely go console for BF5 but hm

Frostbite is great.
I'll never main a BF game on console. Shit just doesn't feel right to me with a controller idk what it is, vs CoD for example.

As I played the closed alpha today, I kept forgetting that Battlefield 5 is a World War 2 game. The UI is sleek, and the guns are effortless to use—they aren't as janky as Battlefield 1's period rifles, firing rapidly and precisely. It made me feel nostalgic for the beats of the M1 Garand from Battlefield 1942.
I do like quite a bit about BF5 so far, at least as compared to Battlefield 1. I'm thankful that Conquest is back to the old scoring system—most rounds I played were close, and no giant behemoth trains or airships interrupted the natural story. Sentry units are gone too, and I never liked those. Going up against supersoldiers wasn't fun.
The new animations are ace all around. I rarely had any problem vaulting through windows or over sandbags, and I love the way my soldier slightly tilts his gun as I strafe left and right, suggesting shoulder sway. The gesture when I grab a health pack is oddly cheerful among the destruction, with which DICE has outdone itself again. At one point I was trapped in a house, the only one on my team there, while a tank systematically blew walls into my face, which I responded to by throwing dynamite off the edge of my disintegrating second story hideout. Dishes crashed to the floor with each concussive blow. It was fantastic.
I managed a steady 60+ fps with a GeForce GTX 980, at least when I wasn't recording with Shadowplay. Expect Battlefield 5 to be slightly more demanding than BF1 (I saw some players complaining they were getting big framerate dips), but if you can play BF1, you're probably fine—might just have to lower a setting or two.
By Hitch Go To PostHave DICE made a really good game since BF3?
Not since Battlefield 2 you could argue
By Hitch Go To PostHave DICE made a really good game since BF3?
You mean Bad Company 2, surely? BF3 was a load of arse (on PS3 when I played it, anyway).

I was watching the CGR video on Metropolis Street Racer, which prompted me to go and download Driveclub again. I get why they went this direction, it probably hits the middle of the bell curve for most gamers, but the simcade angle kind of puts it in the mushy middle for me. It ends up not quite being enough of either and robs it of identity.
I do like the dopamine overload of having scores and meters going off constantly. The environments are weirdly forgettable though. What’s the point of fantasy tracks if so many of them are going to be dour/grey/bland?
The visuals...people get really excited over them, I think they’re solid but - and maybe this is my imagination - it seems like it’s doing some kind of dynamic resolution thing where elements out of the centre of view get a bit grainy. I thought there might be framiness but DF says otherwise, solid 30, I dunno, I can’t put my finger on what it is.
Overall it’s a good game, it’s really playable, I put a lot of hours into it back when I got it and it’s scratching the driving itch for me now. But I can’t put it up there with the classics, it’s not quite memorable enough.

By Kibner Go To PostThe one in Smokey's original post. It's indirect shit talk like "all these games are trash" but still! To be fair, outside Japan it’s very much a niche game even within the fighting game community. Actually it’s been so long since one came out it’s probably sidelined in Japan too these days. I’d imagine the venn diagram between VF players and Xbros is probably a pretty small overlap in 2018.
I love how people rank BF games, like one's total shit, the other's amazing.
Granted, I've only played BF3, BF4 and Battlefield 1. If I had to rank them, the first deciding factor would be the quality of the people I played with, the second my personal preference in terms of setting (for me, modern warfare > WW1/2). Everything else is nuances.
I might've liked some mechanics & features of a specific entry in the series more than others, but when people they didn't play Battlefield X because of how shit it was compared to Battlefield Y ... Yeah, I don't know. Battlefield Hardline doesn't exist.
