PubG a successful failure

How is this just getting added? I see they changed the look of the ranks slightly, they’re just now getting this in beta form even though it’s been known for years

I guess there literally is one person working on the game now. They have to add the skins, choose maps for the operations which is why it’s years between them and all other major and minor updates
The damn tutorial for War of the Chosen has more variety than the entire base campaign 👀. GoW might have to wait...wow.

There is usually around 35 people working on cs:go, according to John McDonald. To be honest I can believe that.
While the updates are little and it takes them a long time to fix certain stuff, they do still fix maps and other issues relating to the game itself, and just update stuff like sound systems and so on (just recently the audio system was changed, to better indicate how far away or where there is being shot from). They have the new UI, they have people working with companies for majors I imagine, and they have people working on the anti cheat constantly.
gives a decent idea of just their anti cheat work.

Got a warning on Era for stating Valve don't make games anymore.

why should they, when they can just keep upgrading the goat?

wow
if you didn't get it, there was a fair dose of sarcasm in that post calling it a megaton.
but tbh, it has been announced for over two years, and we finally got it. it's nice, cause there was some really annoying issues with the old ui. cs:go community takes what it can get, it usually isn't much.

Could you imagine someone like Nintendo releasing a console and 2 years in the only first party game is Wii Sports because that is what Valve have kind of done with Vive.
By s y Go To PostFor a near launch title, Second Son looks pretty clean.
I bought it for £8 a couple years ago and felt ripped off. Looks nice, until characters start talking and their faces just look off. Gameplay was backwards step from Infamous 2 (which was a really fucking fun game, up there with Spiderman 2 on the PS2 for open world superhero games).

I enjoyed First Light more. Infamous 2 is up their Sucker Punch's best.

By Smokey Go To Posthttps://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-cyberpunk-2077-e3-demo-specs-revealedSo what's a rough estimate that PC cost to build?Processor: Intel Core i7 8700K at 3.70GHz
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-I Gaming
Memory: GSkill Ripjaws 5, 2x16GB 3000MHz CL15
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
Storage: Samsung 960 Pro 512 GB M.2 PCIe
Power Supply: Corsair SF600 600W
So basically running on a machine that is multiple times more powerful than even PS5 and XB2 will be.
PC wins again.
By GQman2121 Go To PostSo what's a rough estimate that PC cost to build? My PC was around $1600 and I got basically the same specs except I got a 750W PSU instead of 600, and a 1080 instead of a Ti.
I don't know how much a Ti costs but I'm gonna guess its probably $300 dollars more than a 1080 so around $2000.
By GQman2121 Go To PostSo what's a rough estimate that PC cost to build?
About £1700, plus whatever for the case, CPU cooler and OS. Not unreasonable considering it's an ITX PC with high end parts.
Edit: Not far off the amount my current PC cost either tbh. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3C3yFt
I paid more for the CPU, motherboard and SSD too. Kinda feel ripped off, wish I had an 8700K instead.
By GQman2121 Go To PostSo the Cyberpunk downgrade for PS5/XB2 will be substantial then. That's fun for us.get a better PC before a new console?
By diehard Go To Posti don't actually believe a 1080 ti will be substantially faster than the next consoles.
I'm thinking best case scenario, AMD deliver GTX 1080 level performance with Navi at the £250ish price point, and Sony/MS run with that for next gen. Tweak it a bit here and there, but roughly that's the kinda GPU performance they'll have.

Zen+ (Zen 2 please) based large APU on 7nm would still be pretty nice, especially if GDDR6 is in high enough production to be cheap enough to use by that point. Now that i think about it, if its 7nm i think it would have to be Zen 2. So, 7nm is the key lol.

That CPU will, though.
By Smokey Go To PostThat CPU will, though.True but AMD not being total trash now will probably fix the problem of a CPU bottleneck, which is just silly.

I wouldn't get too excited for anything groundbreaking in that department. If desktop Zen 2 is a good step forward from Zen+, it's not gonna be like that in a console sized box when size, power draw and thermals need to be taken into consideration.
8 cores clocked between 2.5Ghz and 3Ghz. I don't expect anything more than that.
I expect about about 20-25% of the TDP budget to go to the CPU, and for it to be 4-6 cores @ 3.0ghz. It's groundbreaking, but only when compared to Jaguar. If it's Zen+ on 12nm .. thats fine.. whatever. But the GPU has to be 7nm IMO.
It would be exciting to see some real differences between Sony and MS hardware, though.

Finally beat the main quest line for Stormblood a year after buying it. It was real fun. Lyse is awesome, Zenos' voice actor went really over the top but it was still fun. The twins continue to improve. Scenery and map traversal is so much better than Heavensward. A lot of good story beats, especially in the side quest chains.
9/10 would highly recommend.

By YungMagus Go To PostSingle Player possible in FFXIV?For roughly 95% of the time going through the main story quest, yeah. There are required dungeons and such but it has matchmaking for that and higher leveled players have mechanics that encourage them to join matchmaking that could pair them up with lowbies. There is actually a bounty system for taking people through a dungeon who have never been there before, so some players will more than gladly help.
By YungMagus Go To PostSingle Player possible in FFXIV?
I just started.
Been really fun so far and I would recommend it. It is free up to level 35, so it gives you some time to decide if you want to invest in it.
Also, if either of you have questions, let me know. I've gone through the base story like four or five times now and have taken every combat class up to at least 30 (though scholar and warrior are my main two).
I also have a fair amount of experience crafting, but not up to end game.
If you want to play on a NA server, my main is on Excalibur.
Magus, if you get the game, don't worry about what race or class you pick. Race is entirely about aesthetics. Initial class just determines what city you start in (pirate bay, elf woods, desert kingdom). Each city has a slightly different story up to level 15 where they join together. Starting city no longer matters after that.
Once you hit level 10, you can learn another class. You can learn all the classes on a single character, so try them all out, if you would like. I can also give a general role and play style description for each one.
There's a handful of other mechanics I can get into once you start doing dungeons that will make your life easier. Other than that, don't buy the game on Steam as it never has sales and you are then locked into using Steam for all purchases. Get the game on PC from any other source or on PS4 however you like.
If you start feeling invested, definitely get the phone app authenticator to protect your account.

Oh, you can use the same account on both ps4 and pc, but you will need to have purchased the game on each platform separately. The monthly account is shared between all platforms with no additional cost.
Don't bother getting an expansion unless you have a burning need to be a dragon person race. There are no other benefits until you actually get to that expansion's content.
