PS4 + Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, MLB 18: The Show, and MAYBE one turrible game SLAENT recommends...
all by June 2018. Book it.

I'm just trying to finish Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced edition and Divinity Original Sin 2. After that, I hope to have a PS4 so I can get Nier and to join the Switch brigade.
More than likely, I'll keep playing games on my phone, more-so than my console.

Don't think I'll play the third beta, wanna leave the flagship monster until I fight it in the full game
By MonadL Go To PostYakuza 0 is fantastic and an excellent starting point. Highly recommended.Alright good to know. Then I'm probably set for the next few months with Origins and Yakuza.

Divinity was great. Played it on PS4 when it came out. Hoping 2 makes it over as well. I think it's supposed to.
Playing a little bit of mankind divided--the game is so good until the second anything even remotely close to combat gets triggered--at least that's my early impression. That was the case in the original, but MD seems more interested in throwing far many enemies on the map, making the stealth a little more tedious
Here’s a thought/Q.
Do you think we’ll see a trackpad replace the right analogue stick on the next iteration of Xbox/PlayStation controllers similar to the Steam controller?
Ever since I got a Steam controller and used it in games that allow simultaneous controller and mouse support, I’ve felt like it’s next step that controllers need to take.
If it’s standardised and fully support by the developers, and tuned by them on a game by game basis like what we currently have with analogue aiming, I think it’ll be a huge step forward for controllers.

Uh oh. I absolutely loved HR but I'd be lying if I said that tedium didn't factor heavily into some sections. I hope the tepid reception it received isn't because that increased in MD.
mankind divided has one of the worst opening levels i've ever experienced. why am i aligned with task force 24f249 or whatever? who in the blue fuck are these rando military tough guys im running with? i stopped at about 10 hours in because the game was so completely uninterested in its own series mythology. there isn't a single character on the level of pritchard or malik from hr.
i'll finish it eventually cause cyberpunk games are rare enough but frankly i'm not surprised at all the game underperformed

hr doesn't have the type of freeform player agency that the original had but its still a baller game.
the best fps rpg this gen is prey fyi, get it brehs (only on pc though, i tried the ps4 demo and the the controls are way too floaty)

Had it installed for months, still haven’t started it. Gonna get round to it after I get back off holiday later this month.
read that the demo had some input lag glitch and its apparently better now
game is really designed for a mouse tho

I played Prey on Xbox and didn't really experience any input lag.
That reveal at the end of the first hour or so when you walk around the corner into the lobby is incredible. Among the highest of this generation's highs.

I got so bored of that Prey demo that I didn't even finish it. It wasn't just the controls either.
Also, how did we never do a GOTY thread?

By YungMagus Go To PostYo Shun,
Should I pick up DQV on ps2, ds or snes.
All three have english versions
Whichever is most convenient for you. You can play all of the current Dragon Quest games on smartphone or 3DS. PS2 is fine too but you miss out on some extra added scenes and marriage route.

So bad, they make you play it twice.
What's a video game.
Though, I'm currently playing Battlefront II, as it was on sale last week. It's OK, I'm sort of liking the campaign, though I could do without piloting (strong opinion: I hate it) or playing as heroes, for the most part. I really don't care for customizations, it's a layer of complexity I just don't need. I long for the day of stock weaponry. Don't make me think about it too much.
As for 2018 stuff, don't know what's on the horizon. My days of paying attention to these things ended about... 10 years ago? I play a game or two per year, sometimes less.

I haven't finished an Elder Scrolls game in so long, I just end up cave diving and doing the Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild stuff then just forget about the game, come back months later, play a bit again but still don't do shit with the main quest.
Turned my 360 on today and I realized I barely played Forza Horizon. Game is a lot of fun, definitely going to play it more the next few days.

There’s a bit where the voice actor for Roy Campbell shows up and I just can’t play it any further than that. Never finished it.
Thieves guild, Dark Brotherhood, Daedric shrine quests and the oddball quests throughout the different towns is all I’ll do for the questing, plus the DLC.
Still shitloads I’ve never seen or played through. Never done the Mage’s guild, or the civil war quest line, any of the Dragonborn DLC.

By s y Go To PostNo QTEs in the new God of War game.Full on cinematcs every few minutes then? It's not like GoW has ever been some kind of polished action game. If anything it's pretty consistent with dragging hard each time it leaves the rails.

nah we just get kratos' shitty kid instead.
Is it controversial to not like the god of war games? Always thought the combat was trash compared to stuff like DMC. Also button mashing to open doors was stupid. That's what my 16 year old self thought. And I'm sure I still won't like them lol
It's not controversial to me what so ever to dislike any game unless someone's an asshole fanboy, who cares.

I only played the PSP ones when they were on PS+. For the life of me I could not see what the big deal was.
