By Laboured Go To PostIt was a genuine question.
Toys are serious biznis m8
While Microsoft still trails behind Apple’s market valuation of $923 billion and Amazon’s $782 billion market cap, it has a diverse range of businesses where it generates revenue from. Google generates roughly 90 percent of its revenue from advertising, and the iPhone accounts for roughly 60 percent of Apple’s entire revenue. In Microsoft’s most recent quarter its Windows, Surface, and gaming divisions made up roughly 35 percent of revenue, with cloud taking around 30 percent, and Office and productivity more than 30 percent.
Microsoft might be facing questions over its relevance to consumers, but its stock price is now close to passing $100 per share. Some analysts believe the company’s cloud business could double in the next few years to help push the company towards a $1 trillion market value.
So basically it's more because of Azure than the Xbox division.
edit:
Microsoft has been readying for a gaming future beyond the Xbox, with cloud subscription services being a key target. Xbox software and services revenue has grown 24 percent, and overall Xbox Live active users hit 59 million this quarter. That’s the same as the recent holiday quarter, but it’s an increase of 13 percent year-over-year. Microsoft isn’t revealing Xbox hardware revenue anymore, so it’s still hard to tell how well the Xbox One X launch has been going as the company bundles that data into overall “gaming revenue” now.

Gears Battle Royale. Lmao. If I wanted to die to overpowered shotguns, Fortnite is already free. Lol
Gears has felt like 20 years outdated by the time Gears 3 released
shit feels like 3 generations ago not 1. It's like trying to bring Killzone back

can't wait. all quality games/series. keep it up ms.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthey really need to let gears dieI like the approach of strategy games, as the genre is still half dead, but let's not pretend the windows plat will help. They need to accept steam or at least Origin.
I keep seeing res'd up tactics ogre/xenogears no matter how i look at this

The gameplay is old, the art is trash, the violence ain't even creative, and most of all gears 3 was a damned good ending.
Let it sit and give it a quality makeover. Its really on a God of War trajectory and I'd like to see the franchise get the same resurgence

I agree on Gears, but it's not gonna happen unless they find the right people and invest. It's gonna fill a gap, but MS really needs to work on their IPs. Fatigue will set in or already has.
Gears is one of the very few shooters I quite like, especially the original. That atmosphere is IMO still unsurpassed in the genre and I sunk SO many hours into the multiplayer.

Gears 4 online was fantasitc, just needed better ELO/ranking systems imo, oh and Horde was rather awful this go around.
Campaign-wise what can you do really? It was pretty bad this time round and I don't think they have any creative onus to change that.
I'd just go fully back into horror and see how that pans out, even with the risk of it not being as mass-market.
The Gears strategy game better light up.
