While most people too umbrage with the bugs, I think Undead Labs' biggest problem is their ugly art and their inability to get their games to hit any kind of fps target. It's not an attractive game (the lighting engine is top notch, though) and it doesn't even manage to lock in 30 frames on an XOX. But damn, I gotta keep making those numbers go up.

most of the hate that exists for RE6 is because it was a complete departure from the RE series. From 4 and 5, to everything before it. RE6 was its own thing across the board. But third person, over the shoulder, shooting/melee combat? Yeah, its legit. But people also need to kinda look at that combat framework for what it is and what its supposed to do/be. Its in a bunch of different games and it gets judged differently across the board. dead space, god of war, resident evil, mass effect, gears, etc - all of that shit is in the same lane and its much narrower than people want to let on. there's a way to do combat right in those games and there's absolutely ways to do it wrong

Yea. RE6 should have just been Mercs mode, with no campaign. It expects you to play like it's Vanquish, but without the level design or encounters to take advantage of it's systems.

I had a six year membership run that just ended last summer from some activate a phone line deal they were running. Well some genius figured out that prepaid burner phones (like $12 a pop) also qualified and you'd get a year of GCU free that would combine and rollover if purchased separately under the same rewards account. I cleared the whole shelf off.
They're just a mess of a company in some regards.
I mean, if you used their pre-order $10 bonus points and then used the GCU bonus to sell the game back to them not long after release, it's possible you could actually make money (well store credit) on the deal for a new game.
