not sure what surprises me more, the fact that this wasn't already out for vita or that it comes out now.

ARMS demo is pretty dope but I see it's still $60 everywhere. Not sure if it's worth that.
I’ll always laugh that he spent years shitting on PC gaming then decided to make games that were highly dependent on PC gamers making it popular.
There'll always be a place in my PUBG squad for CliffyB. Jazz Jackrabbit forever. I heard he also made other games.
Gears of War is cool. That was a long time ago, though. Hopefully all those new unemployed land on their feet sooner than later.

Capcom actually let ArcSys put out an anime MvCi, with BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. It doesn't have the same amount of freedom, but shit. Mechanically speaking, you need a manual the size of an encyclopedia to learn all of this ish. I forgot that that was the reason why I didn't try and be competitive with the og BlazBlue. You needed a doctorate to play that bullshit. 😂

By blackace Go To PostGot PoE2 last night… trying to decide what class to playI tend to have the most fun playing things with a high level of mobility. That's not specific to this game (which I haven't played), but games in general

Anime Fightin requires too much work.
But 7/10 the games worth it.
Melty Blood >>>>>>>> Street Fighter V.
Finally completed Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Glad to be done, game was starting to wear on me. Dope ending and what not despite the massive cutscenes.
Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology and Demon’s Souls next.

By blackace Go To Postunless I am playing a mage I don't like my dude to be too squishyAye. If I can't play something that can dance around fools, I play something that survives either by damage mitigation or health sustain.
By Laboured Go To PostI like it.It looks alot better than the trailer from yesterday.
Still alot of red flags, but I'm gonna keep an eye on it. Just one.
I hope every bit of Rage 2 marketing has a blaring Andrew WK song, just to annoy all the people that think the trailers are somehow doing this game a disservice.
Set their E3 trailer to "Party Hard" cause fuck em that's why.

By Mister0079 Go To Postthat looks a lot better than I expected
but yikes @ the framerate
Framerate is no issue on modern hardware (PC)
Avalanche doesn't ship games that run well, but id always does and id tech runs flawlessly on console. I don't know what gives first.

plenty of poorly optimized games out there that run like shit no matter how powerful the hardware is. I play on PC.
but apparently the trailer was rendered at a low fps according to some comments I'm reading, who knows.

You could buy a really nice artisan espresso for $5 instead tho.

Maybe some nice timpani drums and wagnerian choir from a software sample library would be better? How about one of the 5 MIDI violin arpeggios from Hollywood Strings that get used in everything (“it’s just like the Dark Knight!”), with maybe a synth sequence warbling away in the background so people know it’s a dark and serious future?
I don’t even care about Andrew WK, just bothered by the generic state of game music where the same 3 genre-oriented themes get ordered over & over by AAA producers. You know they’re going to some composer who’d love to do something original and saying “we’ve got a reveal trailer coming up, give me something that sounds like X by next Wednesday. And can you put in a dramatic build where there’s the techno thing that goes BLARRGH? I think Hans Zimmer is a genius.” A lot of movies are in the same rut.

One day we’ll get an aaa soundtrack composed entirely on a Roland d-50 and it’ll be fantastic
By Red Blaster Go To PostOne day we’ll get an aaa soundtrack composed entirely on a Roland d-50 and it’ll be fantasticI believe that’s Legowelt’s main board, he could do an awesome job. I think the only gaming stuff he’s done has been weird retro stuff like soundtracks for unfinished C64 games.
I think that’s also what all the synth parts from the original Star Trek: The Next Generation theme were done on, you could make a kickass soundtrack for a Mass Effect type game with one.
If Rage 2 stays away from the open-world bullshit that plagued Mad Max it's going to be amazing. Hoping they somehow have id work on the gunplay tho. No one does shooting better than them.
