By Bold 2 in One Go To PostI'll catch the highlights on YouTube then - Sony's showmanship is part of why I like E3, but if they aint bothering, I won't either. besides, got work in the morning. It's still a press conference
Curious to see Death Stranding - not so much TLOU2 - going in blind on that one.
I'm actually replaying the original Metroid. Man, that game is a bit harder than I remembered. Still remember a lot of the secret locations, even though I haven't played it for more than a decade.

i wish sony made a game that appeals to me again. the only exclusive from them i liked this gen is Bloodborne and that E3 list has nothing for me as well.

Rage 2 existing really upsets me. I hope it's some new dev taking over it because you got id coming off of Doom to do THAT?

I have little appreciation for old crpgs so that game’s probably not for me, but I do think jrpgs have really fallen off the last couple of years while big budget wrpgs have been taking their lunch. Without having played any of the Xenoblades, and putting VN/adventure style games into their own category, Automata might be the only jrpg I’ve thought was really great since P4G.

Don't @ me
I might agree with this, the SotN template games are good but got seriously repetitive after a while. Super IV and the PSP remake of Rondo are still amazing. I’m not sold on Bloodstained yet, but if the Vita version turns out well that might end up being a good swan song for that system.

The original is amazingly atmospheric for an 8-bit title, but I’d recommend the GBA remake, Zero Mission, as the definitive version of that game. It made it much more playable and is probably the best 2D Metroid ever.
Still early in the Stormblood campaign of FF XIV, but, man, the Alliance continues to be ruthless and almost single-minded when they put their effort towards something.
e: this campaign also has so much death in it. so damn much.

Got Detroit. That will be the perfect game to get drunk and play with friends and laugh our asses off how terrible it is. can't wait.

Watched the first hour of Days Gone that Game Informer posted yesterday. It's a little rough. They definitely still have a ways to go before this is ready to leave the kitchen.
Biker SURVIVAL VISION is a thing...
I suppose the two leads look okay.

Closest thing is when you enter Spartan Rage

They definitely still have a ways to go before this is ready to leave the kitchen. They got a year but maaaaaaan, they need to tighten a whole lot of shit up/hit detection, animation, melee etc. Also, according to GI, there are 30 NPCs on the level of the bald dude, in terms of narrative improance/choices/etc.
By s y 2.0 Go To PostThey got a year but maaaaaaan, they need to tighten a whole lot of shit up/hit detection, animation, melee etc. Also, according to GI, there are 30 NPCs on the level of the bald dude, in terms of narrative improance/choices/etc.When dude got the crossbow and was shooting it looked like it had zero weight. The combat just looks bland/bad right now which is strange since they're very clearly trying to push the survival aspect as a core gameplay mechanic and those were two of the main things that The Last of Us nailed.
The opening hour they demoed is full of a lot of second hand ideas, but none seem like fresh takes. Look how many boxes they're checking off here...
Decision making options that can lead to branching story lines?
Okay...but then this guy is immediately killed by your partner. So what was the point?
Crafting wheel...
Leveling up...
The dynamic weather and booby traps that can be set in the world by human enemies sounds interesting but also something that they could totally screw up and could become a huge hindrance to the overall experience. They should really consider putting a demo out leading up to launch if they're confident in the quality.

I have heard that about Automata... next time it's on sale I might scoop it.
PoE is a bit different than true old school cRPGs than people might think but I feel ya

yooo, this Hunter: Call of the Wild has scenery of a forest that is super legit. I'm pretty impressed.
It's not an artsy forest, just a real one.
e: i turned off the hud cuz i have no intention of actually hunting anything and am just walking around the forest

By DY_nasty Go To PostI think I'll finish my first run with paladin. Just winging itI went with a Dwarf fighter, really liked the character design of them. Reminded me of Zoltan from The Witcher. I kinda want to spec into more of a speech/diplomacy/merchant reliant character. Depends on how viable it is as I go along.
