By HottestVapes Go To PostPOE Deadfire seems really polished for an Obsidian game. Suspiciously so.I remember the first PoE being polished at launch
By s y 2.0 Go To PostThe Witcher is a terible game if you care anything about gameplay. Repetitive as fuck too.
Terrible opinion.
So, basically par for the course for Psy.
By blackace Go To PostI remember the first PoE being polished at launch
Never looked into the the first, didn’t seem to interest me at the time despite backing it.
All the Obsidian games I have played, New Vegas, Alpha Protocol, etc. all had that classic jank to them that just seems completely absent from Deadfire. I mean, it’s good thing but I kinda miss it.

making garbage, race-to-the-bottom mobile games is more profitable than funding actual products--yes, we know
By data Go To PostKonami has their most profitable year ever meanwhile Sony throwing away the budget for 5 games to pay some celebrities to pretend they like Kojimaquality is an investment, of course they would save money by only making shitty mobile games with preexisting assets
By Xpike Go To Postquality is an investment, of course they would save money by only making shitty mobile games with preexisting assetsLook at how it worked out for Capcom. You need a good strategy regardless.
Konami has been on point, in regards to maintaining Duel Links. If their mobile offerings are as good, then I'm not shocked that they've made a lot of money, in the mobile space.
I hate that I've spent so much money on this damn game (Duel Links). 😣

By Pennywise Go To PostLook at how it worked out for Capcom. You need a good strategy regardless.you mean their brilliant strategy like marketing their shit games to the same people that know better?
Konami is thriving by making their games target a completely different audience, instead of just inserting microtransactions into Mega Man X
By HottestVapes Go To PostPOE Deadfire seems really polished for an Obsidian game. Suspiciously so.From what I've read (trying to stay as far away as possible from PoE2 threads) there's a few annoying bugs, mostly related to importing saves, and some non-trivial problems with balancing / difficulty scaling, so I'm still glad I've God of War to go through before I tackle PoE2, by which time I hope most of the major issues will get ironed out. But yeah, about in line with what you'd expect with a big wrpg release, so good on Obsidian.
Konami’s best only good releases in the past year were Hudson back-catalogue Turbografx virtual console games on Wii U.
By Facism Go To PostWould be nice if it wasn't a full conference.Signs are pointing towards it not being so. Oress members haven't gotten an invite for a conference(but have for MS, EA, Square etc).

-they say this is a break from tradition in their blogpost
Three of those games could show up at e3 2019. I don't see how any of that means they're focusing on next gen but it would be nice.
Whomever is out of the gate first between MS & Sony wins the market mind share.

By Smokey Go To PostDoubt it.Some of their teams have to have transitioned off PS4 development at this point if they goal is 2020. Guerrilla probably and lord knows the GT team isn’t going to get a game out before 2020 so they probably have too.
By GQman2121 Go To PostWhomever is out of the gate first between MS & Sony wins the market mind share.Yeah launch date and price will be what matters both have learned that by this point although MS keeps flirting with 499 but hopefully if they keep that and Sony stays at 399 it will have a power difference to justify it like the X vs Pro.
By GQman2121 Go To PostThree of those games could show up at e3 2019. I don't see how any of that means they're focusing on next gen but it would be nice.Microsoft is in a awkward position. They need to be the first one out much more than Sony, they completely lost all the ground that they had gain outside of the US with the Xbox 360 but at the same time they can't rush to the market soon since they've just released a 500$ version of their console.

By GQman2121 Go To PostWhomever is out of the gate first between MS & Sony wins the market mind share.I think we’re past the point of that type of equal playing field. I think MS will need to do a lot more than that to overcome the momentum advantage that Sony will have had for a decade running by that point. They’re really only relevant in the US and don’t have a competitive first party stable.
By Lupercal Go To PostAny playing RoE on here? It's amazing how smooth it runs compared to PUBG.RoE?

People keep saying this...the One X is aimed at hardcore people. The same people who bought a X in the first place for the power increase. It's like saying Nvidia can't release a 1080Ti model card because they released a 1080 a year earlier.

There is reason to believe that releasing too many consoles in too short a span of time can and has confused customers and weakened consumer trust in a brand.
The right marketing will be key for them.
thinking about a ps5 when the ps4 is only just starting to get its groove with kh3, god of war, last of us, etc, seems crazy
By Xpike Go To Postthinking about a ps5 when the ps4 is only just starting to get its groove with kh3, god of war, last of us, etc, seems crazyIsn't that how generations usually go? this just lines up with longer dev times tbh
By s y 2.0 Go To PostI'll catch the highlights on YouTube then - Sony's showmanship is part of why I like E3, but if they aint bothering, I won't either. besides, got work in the morning.
Mmmh, Sony might be in full prep mode for PS5.
Curious to see Death Stranding - not so much TLOU2 - going in blind on that one.
