There was a lot of turnover in senior positions at 343 between 5 and now. Basically, the people in charge of the best parts of that game (multiplayer and forge) became the lead designers. The narrative director was ousted and replaced by the Halo Wars 2 writer and they replaced their campaign designer with the combat director on Horizon Zero Dawn. We'll know in like a month, but there's a lot of reason to think 6 will be great.

The whole 343 thing since Halo 5 has been promoting people that "know Halo." The H2A and HW2 art director is now on Halo 6. The multiplayer designer on H5 is now lead designer on Halo 6. There's quite a few of these sorts of changes.

But also, I mean, they have to phase out the Chief eventually. Steve Downes is 67. He can't keep doing the voice forever and ever. He's already retired from his day job. I just think that whenever the Master Chief story concludes, they have to stop numbering titles and tell other stories in that universe. Reach is a good template to follow in that respect.

Large number of zombies/npcs was a selling point for games in the first year of the 360 and was dropped because it was shallow and never went anywhere I doubt that these dudes have fixed the problems teams were having then.
Game is still a year out but they need to come stronger than this if they're going to talk about the game with media.
Hopefully you can toggle the XP shit off. Really dislike seeing that in action games. Just leave that in the menu's and maybe give me a level up notice or something.

By Xpike Go To Postwait that's days gone? i was just scrolling by and thought that was a cheap mobile game.It's from the Studio that did the original Syphon Filter games on the PSX and then the PSP games (which are all decent for their time) and the Uncharted Vita game. Days Gone is their first full fledged modern HD console game and they're obviously getting a lot of support out of Sony Santa Monica. They have to be.
