By rvy Go To PostYES PENNYCan't believe it's done.
;_;
I was actually hoping that Majima, Daigo and Taiga would storm in at the end and take care of Sugai.
It was fine though, it was time that Kaz enjoys his retirement ;_;
I really hope SEGA will port 3,4,5 over and let me replay the entire series again.

I'll be stopping my sub for next month so i don't waste 12 dollars on Destiny 2.
By Facism Go To PostDestiny 2 is part of next month's humble monthly. Time to pause for a month.I keep meaning to cancel and never end up doing it. I’ll pay £9 to run through the campaign tho, hopefully a good couple indie games come with it.

No, I believe it is grooming slang.
Just the final boss left in Far Cry 5.
Disappointing game. A lot of it has to do with how shitty and unbalanced coop is, the rest is just ... idk, the Ubisoft-iness of it all, I guess.
Should've waited for bargain bin prices.

Please understand. We get so few story / campaign coop games I can't afford to be a chooser. Still, I should've known better.
By rvy Go To PostI LIKED YOUNobody actually likes me.
YOU ARE A TERRIBLE HUMAN BEAN NOW
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostA lot of the game is wasted. They created an open world that is used for traversing only a few times.
The open world was merely a backdrop and setting, it was like an extravagant side salad next to a medium-rare sirloin, but that was the point of it. It wasn't a sandbox, it was there to compliment the story and gameplay and to that effect, it did it perfectly.
I don't see how cramming an open world full of tedious collectables and distracting side missions would have made it any better. If anything, it'd just bog the base game down.

FWIW, I enjoyed FC5 so much I completed it then started a second playthough straight away. Into my last third of the game now. It's the game that Fallout 4 desperately wanted to be.
By HottestVapes Go To PostFWIW, I enjoyed FC5 so much I completed it then started a second playthough straight away. Into my last third of the game now. It's the game that Fallout 4 desperately wanted to be.How dare you thoroughly enjoy something I did not. HOW DARE YOU.
It's not that me and my bro haven't had any fun with it. We did. It just never really clicked with me. It feels like everything we did, we did in passing, because it was there, not because it was particularly engrossing content. All the encounters / outposts felt exactly the same. Clutch Nixon challenges were easy as fuck and largly uninteresting (we admittedly only finished a few of them). Story and side missions are "go there, kill all things" to the extreme, with a few amusing exceptions. Since we're cooping it, we barely felt the need for sidekicks, though I imagine playing solo changes that.
Some of the more picturesque characters and dialogues did get a chuckle out of me, however the three main bosses were disappoing as hell. Not as much as characters (though they're really nothing to write home about), but as opponents. All of the boss fights so far were proper shit-tier. One left.
I could go on, but you get the idea. I wouldn't say it's a bad game. Too much money and time has been spent on it for that. I was just expecting a much more engaging experience from the initial reviews / impressions. As I've said, a lot of it has to do with the completely asenine way in which coop is implemented. The game doesn't allow the second player to progress story-wise, you get no resistance points, which means you're stuck with whatever weapons / vechicles you've got access at the very start of the game. Fuck that, I'm not playing the game twice.

I played it solo, I don't have friends. I largely ignored the characters/story and just treated it like a massive sandbox to fuck around in. Each outpost for me was an opportunity to try out a new weapon, or special ammo, or Cheeseburger, etc.
I don't care, I still kind of miss Destiny. Those guns are still all > every other game's guns.
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostPersona 5 very good, but too much handholding. Xenoblade 2 pure unadulterated trash. Kingdom hearts wish it was just trash, but it's below even that.Yeah but Nier tho, amirite?
By Red Blaster Go To Postp5 was disappointing but it had some moments unlike xenoblade 2 which shovels shit down your throat nonstop for 80 hours

By Austin WalkerReal talk, I thought Nier: Automata was going to come in at like… 4, maybe 5 on my list. And then we recorded this past Monday’s podcast. Towards the end of the podcast, at about minute 51:30, I found myself making a case for the game’s emotional and philosophical core of the game: “[Everything] ends up being this second layer conversation that isn’t just ‘are robots people,’ it’s ‘what the fuck are people?’”
I don’t think that’s a perfect argument for why Nier: Automata is great. But I do think that in 2017, a year perfectly suited to lingering on humanity’s cruelty, our separation from one another, and our struggle to define ourselves against that cruelty and separation.
“So much of this game is about that feeling of being Alone,” I said. And I don’t just mean in the lowercase ‘a’ sense."
It’s a game that says, fundamentally, in the world, in the universe, none of us can connect. None of us can ever really reach out and touch another person. At all points that connection is mediated by language or by technology or by physical distance. Or by the words we refuse to say to one another because we are scared, or by the words we are compelled to say to one another because of loyalty or because of anger.
That all connection is impossible. And, also, it is all we can fucking do to connect to each other. It’s the only thing we can’t stop trying to do, is trying to find that deep human connection. Whether we are born as human or stumble into being it, that is the thing that makes us people: Trying to connect. And the biggest tragedies are when we fail to.
On that podcast I found myself breathless and near tears in recalling the game and what it meant to me. It couldn’t be number 1, not this year. But in 2017, it couldn’t be any lower than this.
Anime girls + giant sword combos making an educated adult man cry.

probably more enjoyable than playing on the fucking thing. the hinges became lose after like a week of use, and the nintendo store bullshit is such a fucking struggle to use. i can't even easily move my bravely default shit to a new one, without the typical nintendo bullshit, that goes along with a transfer like that.

For Fire Emblem: Awakening, yes.
