Being an early adopter's hit or miss. Everyone talks about price drops, but when you work it out as $ per # of days you have the thing while it's current, it's actually usually cost effective to get in day one. Not to mention the good feeling of having the shiny new thing. I kinda regret not getting a launch PS3 even though it was crazy expensive at the time, I would have had years of value out of that thing. I got a 360 first and spent that winter mailing red-ringed systems back to Microsoft instead.
But that led me to get a PS4 at the midnight launch and...it sat and collected dust for 2 years. There was like nothing I wanted to play on that thing. I ended up selling it and getting a new one later in Japan (of course a couple of months before they announced the Pro).

Yeah, the triggers and general ergonomics aren't as good as the Vita imo. Like, I hold the Vita, and nothing about it feels old at all even though I've had it for nearly half a decade now. The sticks...I dunno. I had a hell of a time aiming with them in Killzone Mercenary, I'm not sure how great the fidelity on them really is.

What I especially loved about the Destiny filibuster is that Jeff completely dissected that game and gave all the reasons why it isn't that good and Brad just keeps on keeping on.

At the time I was like "dude, shut up," but after actually playing a ton of it I think he actually might have been kinda right. Even if everything else was busted year 1, the shooting in that game feels really really good. I spent hours just traipsing around shooting up trash mobs because it was fun.

What a remedial. Bet she doesn't even know that most tunes are layered and dynamic, changing with circumstance and completed side-quests.
That's the opposite of tacked on. That's integral to the game. The vocals are even in a language unique to the universe.
Giant Bomb also thinks Kirkhope is better than Wise so she fits right in their taste bracket

I'm seriously wondering if the crypto thing is going to delay the next gen of consoles, as graphics card prices take a bit longer to reach affordability. Why cut Sony a deal when you sell everything you're making anyway?

Also check out Amazon Trade-In. They were always among the best options in Germany. Never had a problem regarding the condition and they had rather good prices usually. Saved me the hassle to walk into those shitty stores instead, but sadly they stopped it here.

With development being so expensive and taking multiple years on these big projects, they'll get as much out of these boxes as they can.

The transition between the old gen to a new gen is always extremely painful, and I don't think developers have hit their peak with the current generation of consoles yet.
I don't think you spend all the money making the X to then turn around and put out a new box two and half years later.

The thing is, native 4k is crazy resource-intensive . Look at how much the One X costs right now - it's priced like a premium product, yet still sold at a loss, and isn't capable of producing anything close to a generational leap in geometry at that resolution. You think we're getting to a mass market launch price for generational-leap hardware with a sane power draw/heat profile in 2 years? I don't see it.
Generations used to only last 5-6 years, but Moore's law is dead now. I'm just not sure it can be done that fast anymore.

The shitty Jaguar 1.5ghz CPUs will ensure we move on sooner rather than later.
PS5 and XBox Two will both be backwards compatible. That was one of the pluses of going to (basically) standard PC parts. That will make the transition easier.
