Why is the owner running the basketball ops for the Cavs
"The word is out that Dan is running things," a rival executive told B/R. "Frankly, that's where he's happiest and the role he's most comfortable in."
Fuck your whole team up because you're a shit ass control freak brehs. Can't wait for more Cavs fuckery. Gilbert is such a douche.
By RobNBanks Go To PostPlayers asking for min restrictions would be dumb. It would make coaching a nightmare, the whole product would decline immensely.Well, I think it would make coaching a nightmare for Thibs.
Not so much for Pop, though.
But to your point about the product declining, I think New Orleans is probably regretting not doing more to protect their investment, cuz now they're gonna be spending $100m and having a worse product.
Maybe that's a gamble NBA teams can take though. What do I know. Thank God it's not my money, or I'd be firing everybody and poaching staff from San Antonio all day.

By rodeoclown Go To PostA trade because even if he's firing on all cylinders, he's a bad fit.I know you love Rubio. but he's a terrible fit for the roster.
What the Wolves need from their point guard spot is not Teague. Not at all. They need someone that's low usage, won't take shots from Butler or Towns, is going to keep the offense humming, will make good decisions, and will play some defense. If only they had one or two of those guys on the roster in the last year. Maybe one of them still is.
George Hill though? great.
By giririsss Go To PostI know you love Rubio. but he's a terrible fit for the roster.I actually don't think Rubio fits super well with how much Jimmy creates offense. We saw how well it went when Thibs tried to have Wiggins initiate a lot of offense next to Ricky. But I have zero doubt they'd be better if they had done nothing at the point guard spot and used that extra $4M elsewhere. They could've gotten a much better backup wing than Jamal Crawford, for instance.
George Hill though? great.
Rubio could fit with a team with 4 shooters, and none of them are very good creators. That's about it.
By diehard Go To PostRubio could fit with a team with 4 shooters, and none of them are very good creators. That's about it.This isn't true at all. He was quarterbacking top-10 offenses when the team's top two options were Love/Pekovic and then Wiggins/Towns.

George Hill is already 31, too. So it's not like he's super young or anything.
By blackace Go To PostIs Rubio just a poor man's Ball?super mcw?
By blackace Go To PostIs Rubio just a poor man's Ball? That's really rude, but I don't know to which player.
By rodeoclown Go To PostThis isn't true at all. He was quarterbacking top-10 offenses when the team's top two options were Love/Pekovic and then Wiggins/Towns.When the Wolves got to 9th in offensive rating even though it was just 4 years ago, basketball is changing. Playing at a fast pace did/could make up for some of his deficiencies but if you were to ever get to the playoffs with him.. ugh
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostThat's really rude, but I don't know to which player.Despite the stats matching up Kidd was ready to throw hands when compared to Ball lol

Adam your team better make the most of Ohtani and not waste any years of his GOAT potential like they did to Pujols.
I feel for you about losing a superstar, but a team can't waste one.

By reilo Go To PostAndre Drummond, Two-Time NBA All Star.A better pick than Draymond Green tbh.
By Method Go To Posttotally possible if they wanna move klay and dray
I don't think moving Klay & Dray for AD makes them much better given the depth issues it would create. Not even sure if AD for Dray would make them significantly better.
Please note this is not me saying Dray is better than AD or adding Davis would not make them better.
By rodeoclown Go To PostTonight's game against Toronto is a total schedule loss because of his rotations. They played a ton of minutes last night at Atlanta and even if it's close, they'll be dead about halfway through the fourth in this one.Butler is playing. He always kills us
By reilo Go To Post
what?
Translation: we couldn't believe how much they were putting on the table for this guy who's a net average and fading, so we took it and ran before they could think twice.
By Random Ass Username Go To PostAlso probably unsaid is how sick of Blake's attitude and drama folks are.without LA's damage control, brodie is fucked
The Wolves are putting 4 guys on DeRozan every time he gets the ball, he's passing out and guys are just bricking the open shots. It's frustrating to watch Minny build a 10 point lead off that.

Kanter and Porzingis are killing the Nets' bigs. Kanter has a double-double and it's not even halftime.
