By joefu Go To PostDang, really sad that this was a nationally televised game loool. Mavs trashiness being broadcast to the worldY'all losing by 20 to THIS suns? minus Booker?
Should be fined for intentionally tanking. Ruining the integrity of the game.
By joefu Go To PostBooker is playing? They aren't also intentionally tanking. They just aren't good lolOh, he was meant to miss more time with his rib injury.
Suns aren't good either though. ...
Their record is similar, so this is a pivotal tank game. Seems Suns were just hot from 3 or something.
LOL Mavs can't make layups or wide open threes right now. What a game

Another game, another comeback in the last 5 minutes. I don't understand the Mavericks. Maybe they are trying to tank by building a giant deficit and then trying when the game is almost over.

By Jeff-DSA Go To PostDSJ is a fun player, man. Win or lose, you at least got that.Yeah. Good thing y'all have Mitchell too. Hopefully these two guys become rivals
Wooo Mavs gunning for that 2nd worst record thanks to Tank Commander Wesley Matthews. I don't think any team is gonna be stupid enough to give a first for him LOL
I watched about 75% of a Suns vs Mavs nationally televised game cause I did not have anything else to do. I don't think I can hit a lower low for the rest of the year.
By Kibner Go To PostSomehow the Pels will clear enough room to sign him for the rest of this season.
Cs might use their DPE on him
Team doctor Tom Carter twisted the foot and ankle back into their proper positions and said afterward that Canaan never uttered a word of pain.
He was loaded onto a stretcher and wheeled off the court.
By Kuma Go To PostCs might use their DPE on himIirc, he gets paid the same amount regardless this season unless someone offers more than his original contract. The Suns pay the difference, otherwise.
But, yeah, the Celtics are probably the frontest of front runners.

total clickbait article, pls avoid
The league will die, but there's another option
For LeBron, the Paul scenario presents the best route if his desire is to play for the Warriors (or, possibly, the Rockets).

So, any money he makes this season is on top of what he got from the Suns (though PHX can have his contract pro-rated on their books or something? I dunno).
But, yeah, the Celtics are probably the frontest of front runners.

MLS would be more popular
NHL would have a resurgence

By rodeoclown Go To PostWouldn't that require hockey to have been popular in the first place?hockey is very popular. (outside the us)
By Kibner Go To PostHere ya go, Dy. Some hope:No hope for Justise. He done.
e: also, maybe some hope for Knux and Fultz
By Mariosalic Go To Posthockey is very popular. (outside the us)Hockey is actually more popular in the US than any other country outside of Canada. Well, at least in total numbers.
Hockey popularity in America extremely regional. A lot of the non-traditional markets (places you can't actually play hockey) really struggle with attendance, though there are some exceptions like Nashville, Tampa and Las Vegas.
When I used to do junkets in Canada with the EA studios, all I heard was how much better hockey was than the NFL or NBA. It was brutal to sit down and eat with any of those guys.
RIP Black Box Games. EA did you wrong. Skate 2 still the GOAT skate game.

By diehard Go To PostBaseball popularity is actually pretty regional as well, just not as much as Hockey.Baseball popularity has largely shifted to just following your team. If you're hardcore, you watch the playoffs, as the continually dwindling playoff ratings can attest.
Which, man, I totally get. The baseball season is way too long and they play way too many games for me to watch other teams.

I actually think it would be the opposite. It would be like when Tiger Woods was curbstomping the entire sport of golf, it was never bigger. You'd get tons of bandwagon fans who love the idea of tuning in and being guaranteed a win for "their" team.

Yep, that sounds like Canada.

Oh, actually, beat reporters are saying this won't affect their going hard after Monroe. Hrmmm...
By livefromkyoto Go To PostGuys what if this means they're making a business decision and aren't going to re-sign Boogie?Nah, they are still going to try to sign him to a max or near max.
By rodeoclown Go To PostBaseball popularity has largely shifted to just following your team. If you're hardcore, you watch the playoffs, as the continually dwindling playoff ratings can attest. Not to mention that the most entertaining commodity in baseball are pitchers and good sluggers and those guys barely do enough during the game. They need to switch up the rules so that your best hitters are constantly at bat against the best pitchers, cut the games in half, and let the best pitchers pitch almost every game.
Which, man, I totally get. The baseball season is way too long and they play way too many games for me to watch other teams.
