I got my E92 M3. It's a 2009 with 62k miles, and I'm very happy, so far. Car is going to be a bit of a project and needs some work here and there. But nothing serious. Clean CarFax, no damage, no dents, etc. I do need to replace some of the interior trims, which are fortunately very cheap. They aren't tattered or anything, just that the kid who owned it for the past year glued on carbon fiber bullshit. In the process of doing so, he managed to break the clips on some of the trims, so they don't sit flush with the dash. They're like $40-90 a piece. Not a big deal. There were also CF eyelids (which I LITERALLY ripped off the moment I got home), CF mirror covers (ugly, flat carbon finish), and a CF spoiler (which, while nice, is installed like shit and trying to peel up).
The car has a few nice mods done by the owner prior to the dumb young kid (I verified all of this background on the forums): Dinan Springs, Dinan DCT Tune, Fabspeed X-Pipe, and OEM MOD Exhaust (a stock exhaust with its insulation removed). Car sounds amazing, a bit loud during startup, but not even a little bit of drone when you're driving.
Getting new fluids done: Engine and Diff fluids on hand already. Need to do transmission fluid too. Have a list of things I'll be doing to the car to make her as pristine as possible.
Throttle Body Actuator - Inspection $0
Valve Cover Gaskets - Inspection (they look new to me) $0
Detail + Coating (Need this ASAP) $0)
LCI 2011+ Taillights (Want this ASAP) $450
Rod Bearing - Inspection, (then likely order the kit to replace them as preventative maint). $1000 including labor
Interior Trim Pieces: air vent trims, and two door trims. $300-$350
BMW Wheel Caps (Ordered, throwing out ugly black/white ones. $50
BMW Hood Emblem (Ordered, same as above). $35
Passenger Side Mirror Motor (goes up and down, not side to side). $120
Center Console Button Switch (Power, EDC, and DSC buttons all broken. New switch assembly costs $120, no biggie)
Hood struts - $134
I'll probably re-spray the front bumper, as well. Not sure how much that'll cost me. Might get a hookup from the sponsors. But if not, I'm counting on about $300.
All in all, I think this will all be very worthwhile. Hell, I can cancel out this entire expense by selling the Fabspeed X-Pipe, because it costs $1500.

If you look at the seat, you can see my lil' man's head as he's chillin with the steering wheel. LOL
By Facism Go To PostI'm.seeing lots of f types now. Jag Gaydon must have them on their lease liststheir leases rates in the US are extremely appealing. Wouldn't be surprised if that is true elsewhere.
Not as many exotic/fancy cars in SF as I expected. Still a lot, don't get me wrong. Just fewer than I see in Dallas suburbs. Probably just putting what they save in housing and food costs into cars.
Even better for jag employees. Neighbour pays 90 a month for his xf. Every 11 months he gets a list of cars to choose
Dallas/Fort Worth is just weird.
There's a car at work that is so ridiculously special(only 1,948 of these cars were made iirc) but apparently the owner is putting it off for a few months or so... so it's literally hiding at the dealership, still in transportation wrapping, just waiting to get detailed and delivered. But since the owner is putting it off for some reason, it's just going to sit there until he decides to take it.

You hang around parts where a lot of Cowboys players and the like are.

By jongkookie Go To PostDallas/Fort Worth is just weird.I think I posted pics of it earlier in this thread, but there was this car in a random shopping center (with, like, the fanciest place being a fresh farm food fast casual diner) that costs like minimum $500k. And I've seen it there multiple times. I'm just like why is this car in the same parking lot as a Tom Thumb???

That car that I was just talking about in my previous post:
Just consider the picture a "leak" hence why it's screwy... will post better pictures when I can soon lol.

According to its listing, this white 2016 MX-5 is the first customer car to get the V-8 "Habu" conversion from the tuners at Palisade, Colorado's Flyin' Miata. The swap consists of a Lingenfelter-built, 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 out of a C6 Corvette paired to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual and a GM differential.
The LS3-swapped Miata is said to produce 525 horsepower and weigh just 2,600 pounds.
For maximum peace-of-mind, the car is being sold by Flyin' Miata themselves on behalf of the owner and includes a clean Carfax and Virginia title, all the factory and conversion literature and documents, and—most notably, perhaps—just a little over 2,000 miles on the odometer. The thing's barely broken in.
It isn't just the engine, transmission, and diff that's been replaced, though. Dual, center-exit exhausts and a new rear diffuser give the Mazda roadster more visual punch, as do the black 17-inch Advanti Storm wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires. Behind those reside Wilwood brake calipers, specially-tuned Fox Racing coilovers, beefier anti-roll bars, and extra chassis bracing.

The auction ends on Wednesday and is currently sitting at $55,000, or pretty much double the price of a new, soft-top 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata.

Toyota reviewed the lessons learned while building the experimental, hydrogen-powered Mirai (pictured) and applied them to the development of a second-generation model due out in 2020. The next Mirai is expected to inch closer to the mainstream in key markets like America and Japan.Hydrogen got next?
Company Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada announced the timing during a meeting about hydrogen energy held in Tokyo, according to Reuters. Toyota confirmed to Roadshow that a second-generation Mirai is in the works, but it declined to confirm the 2020 launch floated by its chairman. It makes sense, however. Introducing the car in early 2020 would allow Toyota to parade it in front of the whole world during the Olympic Games opening in Tokyo on July 24.
Details about the car, notably the type of powertrain it will use, remain under wraps. We expect the knowledge gained since Mirai production started in 2014 will allow engineers to make significant improvements to the technology in terms of driving range and efficiency. Toyota can also tap into BMW's know-how, because the two carmakers agreed to jointly develop and test the technology in 2013. The hydrogen-powered X5 unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show was notably built with technology developed by the two partners, and it's headed to production sooner or later.

Can't wait till i can get back and drive my Cayman again. I never thought I would feel that way about a car. lol
Debating whether to just replace the rears, but either way I am looking at $$
EDIT: Eh, I know it's always best to replace all fours but damn wasn't planning to replace them this soon

Will get some new Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on tomorrow. Bye shitty runflats, but didn't want to spend the money this soon.
Installing PS4S' is like buying a new car. F-Types should've had them from the factory. All of them.
My Cars & Coffee today had 200+ cars. LaFerrari, THREE Ferrari 488 Pistas, 458s, 488s, Lambos, GTRs, AMG GTS', two 720S', etc. The Ferrari guys rolled in deeeep.
200 cars, though. Also, still loving the M3.

Maybe it's placebo effect but it certainly feels like it absorbs the bruising SF city street potholes better.

Go next month! There's one in Southlake at every 4th Saturday of the month(26th for October).
I was gonna go to the Southlake one yesterday but I woke up at 7AM, saw the temperatures outside(it was fucking hot already) and decided to sleep in. 😂
Hopefully, October will finally bring some fall weather here in Dallas then I'm gonna start going again lol.
There's a place out in Stratford near ettington called caffeine and machine.

Been meaning to go there all summer. It's pretty much in the middle of the countryside nestled in some of the best roads in the area

It's not. Runflats have a reinforced steel lining that inherently makes them rough as fuck. Michelins are also known for being incredibly comfortable, because of their soft compound.

Got sick of the garbage gas mileage, traded the GLK350 for an A5 Sportback. 100% worth it. Drives 10000000% better and it's just as practical if not more so.

I'll definitely go this time if you go lol.
