By Christberg Go To PostYep. The only issue I see watching the lap is the top speed is very clearly governed at 160 MPH, which appears to be about the only thing stopping it from keeping up with the M5 comps/Panamera Turbos/Giulia QVs of the world. It clearly has a boatload of torque and handles great. Add another 20MPH in the back straight and voila. Some of the sounds I'm hearing reminds me of space battles in Star Wars movies. lol
By Lunatic Go To PostIsn't that the shorter track? The new track is 12.9 miles no?
You have 2-3 years to win the lottery lol.
I mean, isn't there already a huge amount of pre-orders for the Taycan already?
One article I saw say that back in March it was around 20,000 pre-orders already... I imagine it's a lot higher than that today.
Granted, Porsche isn't Tesla and they shouldn't really have any production issues but I imagine every car being produced is already spoken for.

The Z has been paid for, title transferred. The deed is done. She's off to a good home after I have rehabbed her.
Nice guy, and I'll still get to see it.
I'm actually more surprised at how quickly I was able to sell it. Literally 2 days after my listing was made. Got full asking price: $18K

Cadillac rose to prominence a century ago as the pinnacle in General Motors’ “ladder of brands” — the ultimate destination as car owners prospered and moved up from Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Buick to demonstrate their success in life.
But by the 1970s it struggled with quality and failed to keep up as the definition of automotive luxury shifted from big, spacious cars with tail fins to German-engineered performance sedans. Cadillac became known as a “grandpa” car brand. It now trails far behind Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi on a global basis, and ranks just sixth in luxury vehicle sales in the United States.
General Motors has tried for more than two decades to restore Cadillac’s standing at the top of the automotive world, with little sustained success. In 2015 it moved Cadillac’s headquarters to the SoHo district of Manhattan, aiming to immerse those shaping the brand in the kind of upscale urban setting that is a prime target for high-end products.
The image-making, however, wasn’t backed up by new cars that turned heads in the crowded luxury segment. And Cadillac again missed a shift, rolling out sedans as consumers flocked to S.U.V.s.
“Moving to New York was wishful thinking,” Mr. Placek said. “To get their edge back, it has to be all about product development first.”
G.M. embarked on the latest turnaround a year ago, when it moved the headquarters back to Detroit and named a new Cadillac president: Steve Carlisle, a Canadian engineer who has been with G.M. since 1982.
In some ways, Cadillac doesn’t really compete with other luxury brands. Cadillac buyers most often trade in Chevys and Fords; rarely do they trade in German makes. Almost 40 percent of Cadillac buyers are over 65, compared with 20 percent for Audi, according to Cox Automotive.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/27/business/cadillac-brand.html
Yeah ... main reason my next truck won't be a raptor is that price tag. You're getting a lot more than utility and luxury though for that price. You're getting an off roader with a warranty.
I'll probably get a diesel for towing and resale value.

Sis in law works at Ford corporate. She's checking on the discounts
I have 3500 left on my car. I'm itching! Between the Honda and BMW I will have paid about that Raptor price for my cars lol
The Honda is never leaving tho. 250k miles minimum .
I'm afraid I'll be that dude who buys a raptor and
A. never uses it off road out of fear of wrecking my 75K truck or
B. Wrecks his raptor launching the truck 5' in the air over a burm of some sort.
Somewhere in there is a "C. Off roads but never gets too out of control" and I don't think I would be that.

If I get a truck Issa Raptor. Don't care for anything else. It floods all the time in Houston. It's a safety vehicle. I need it for the family
That's a great selling point. Try that and let me know how it works. I can try earthquakes on my wife.
By reilo Go To PostBuying that Raptor won't make you grow tall like Fender.
True, but he can launch of a ramp and maybe finally be able to touch the rim.

This heaux clean tho 😤
What fender
Just get a Ram Rebel Laramie. My boy just got one, and that shit is bad ass. And cost $58K damn near fully loaded before the massive incentives.
It also looks better. Especially inside. Ford's interior is butt.

I'd second this but when I worked at CDJR earlier in the year, I saw a lot of these sitting high up a lift. :\
But yeah, it sounded great and the interior is leagues ahead compared to GM or Ford. I guess if you go for a lease, they'd be the better get, but if you're buying it outright, just don't forget it's still a Dodge lol.
Update on the M3 hunt.
White 2013 M3 Comp Pkg: This car was total shit. Damage all over the car that can't be seen in the pics. Dings, large dents, cracks on bumpers. The windshield molding was rotting away and brittle, due to leak water (assuming it doesn't already). Competition wheels plasti-dipped flat blue? And the brake caliper up front looked wrong. Also, I think someone tried to take off the taillight tint and ruined the plastic lense...so 3 of the 4 pieces of the taillights have tint. The 4th piece is just a ruined lense.
I walked away that car so fast the guy didn't even have enough time to bring me the key to sit in it.
The other car I've already seen and I'm considering it. It's a 2009. It's cheaper. Decent mileage. But it has some shitty carbon fiber crap stuck on it. I'm considering it because I'd like to remove the mods, do some maintenance to it, detail it, and try to see if I can make some money on it.

By AlphaSnacks Go To Post^^^ Facts.
They do lease extremely well. But looks like Smokey don't do Dodge.
It's just that my uncle has one lol. I wouldn't want the same shyt.
Went to various dealerships today. Audi, Mercedes, Ford. Mercedes were assholes and my wife immediately wanted to leave. Spoke with the sales manager about that. My wife is the type where customer service is super important to her. She worked in high end jewelry for years and it's just important to her when you're dealing with items like this. Sales rep was terrible. Told the Manager she's the type that will write your brand off, and she basically said fuck them as expected when I got back in the car.
But anyway , looked at the Raptor. Feeling it more and more. Wasn't able to test drive it, didn't have a used one. But I did get to drive a King Ranch and i get it now when it comes to trucks . This one was about 68k.
It was basically a high end lux SUV as expected. I can see why people are assholes in the rain lol

Reilo is a 6'4 Serbian/Bosnian/person from that region. They're all obsessed with their height. They genetically modify their children their to be giants...
At least, I'm convinced they do.

Gotta get the RAM if you’re gonna buy an ostentatious land barge truck. Air suspension and the best interior.
Gotta tart it up and make your family jealous, instead 👍

I get it. I respect it. But like I said above my uncle has a Ram already. I don't want to be reminded of my uncle everyday lol.

Mmhmm. And my sis and law works for Ford, so I'd be using her discount.

An electric motor sandwiched between the engine and the transmission receives electricity from a supercapacitor and injects 34 horsepower into the driveline. While that sounds like a rounding error in a car with the Raging Bull emblem on its nose, the 48-volt mild hybrid system helps the Sián return better gas mileage, provides a boost under hard acceleration, and powers the cars on its own at ultra-low speeds, such as when parking. The hardware tips the scale at a reasonable 75 pounds. Lightweight, composite materials like carbon fiber offset the hybrid system's mass.
The mid-mounted V12 relies on titanium intake valves to generate 785 horsepower, a figure that makes it the most powerful road car engine in Lamborghini's 56-year history. The system's total output checks in at 819 horsepower. The Sián takes 2.8 seconds to reach 62 mph from a stop, and its top speed lies somewhere north of 220 mph.
Some details on the official Taycan reveal that happened like an hour ago: https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1124886_2020-porsche-taycan-turbo-vs-turbo-s-electric-car-battery-tech-specs-and-pricing
At 5,121 pounds, the Taycan is a bit of a pig, too. Still, the center of gravity is lower than that of a Porsche 911, and a brief ride-along showed the car moves and handles with grace.Christ, EVs are so damn heavy
Seriously beautiful car, great specs, 0 to complain about. Except that it's out of my price range. Dammit.
Can't wait to see the "low end" versions. If they can get a RWD one with like 500HP for around 90K I might just have to buy it.

My only complaint is that the Porsche UI is a bit... dull in places (specifically the row of buttons in the center screen that lets you select navigation, etc) and the UX a bit redundant between the four screens (same buttons between the center screens right above each other with slightly different treatment??), but hopefully an OTA update in the future will improve upon that.
I assume it has OTA updates?
I assume it has OTA updates?
Looks like it does have OTA for sure, car is showing LTE connection in videos. I don't know about a lot of this more modern car UX where there's basically 0 buttons, but the idea is to let you have configurable screens for UI elements - maps, consumption etc. It's a good idea in theory but in practice there will only be like 2 layouts everybody uses and that's it. You can put a map on the bottom screen, for example but nobody's doing that, ever. That's always gonna be HVAC or maybe radio controls. I do like the copilot screen idea though, and that's gonna be really cool when they make an SUV version with built in Netflix and whatever else in the back seat and Bluetooth headphone connections everywhere.
