We should all thank Kyrie for getting Lebron to try during the regular season. It's certainly made things more interesting to watch.
Deron Williams and Raja Bell was the starting backcourt the last time LeBron won in Utah?
Just saw Jerry Sloan too :(

Sloan has looked really unwell for a long time, I hope he's doing okay...
Mitchell knows how to pass now and the NBA will never be the same.

Imagine the hype Mitchell would be getting right now if the Knicks drafted him. He's from Greenwich too? Shiiiit..

By unknown Go To PostWhat about Simmons? He is a beast.the team is getting in the way something fierce rn. Mitchell is carrying his squad. He deserves it more.
Hopefully losing ROTY will teach Simmons true hatred and elevates his game.

By friskykillface Go To PostLeBron can’t beat Utah but Jordan could 🤔Jordan pushed off!
;P
By Method Go To PostJordan pushed off!I was at that game and the second he stole the ball from Malone, I knew we had lost.
What is the point, really? Shoot 128 points and over .700 from 3 and still get beat by double digits. Insane.
Also, way more teams (18) have managed to score 128 points in regulation than I realised.
This, however, still seems like the best explanation with now two exceptions instead of the one.

By chandlerparsons Go To PostMitchell or Die™As much as I want this to be true, I just checked and the Jazz are only 8-7 when Mitchell scores 20 or more (8-14 when 20 or less).

Mitchell is one of the only players on Utah who can get their own shot IIRC...so yeah if his isn't falling bad times are ahead.
From the "Believe it or Not" files about Ben Simmons:
EDIT: Correction. 15 WIDE OPEN SHOTS from greater than 10 feet all season.
The Nuggets allowed him to shoot the ball and NBA teams will probably allow that to continue. Before tonight, Simmons was only 5-of-15 on his wide-open shots from beyond 10 feet, so it's not even like Simmons is taking them either. This mofo has only taken 15 shots from greater than 10 feet all season?

Would be interesting to know how those possessions end up.
A bad shooter not taking shots that he knows he can't make doesn't seem like a bad thing.

I'm going to see how many shots he's taken beyond that total.
By Koko Go To PostWould be interesting to know how those possessions end up.Chandler Theory is only acceptable in certain situations, and it's not the greatest for a PG to subscribe to. Especially not in that way... even rookie Jason Kidd was more aggressive with his J. It's one thing not to shoot midrange jumpers... how many shots does he take within 15 feet that aren't runners, layups, dunks, or oops? He's 6'10 so he can get his shot off on 90% of the guards in the NBA, but he doesn't seem to be playing any better than rookie year MCW.

I thought his success would slow down a bit once teams worked him out. Still think he's got a very good future because his passing is elite, but there's still a chance he could be 6'10" Rondo and not 6'10" LeBron

Simmons has only taken two 3s the entire season? How is that even possible in the modern game?
Aaron Baynes has taken 6 threes this year.
If Simmons is really that terrified of his range, maybe he should copy Livingston and work on his 10 foot turnaround to punish smaller defenders in the post?
Holy fuck... I'm not sure what I'm more surprised at:
a) The extent of the damage (if you look at the Knicks broadcast of the replay they actually show how badly he was hit)
b) The fact no flagrant was called
c) ... Ron Baker has an Instagram account?
