Turkey wants a 4 year prison term for Enes Kanter. Yeah, good luck with that.

Congrats to Covington for finessing the hell out of Philly and securing the bag.
Had the whole league thinking he was the next Otto Porter.
Before extension: 17 & 6 on 68%TS
After extension: 13 PPG on 36%FG, 32%3P, 50%TS

By reilo Go To PostDaryl Morey would disagree with you, chandler.Against the Warriors, sure, but the league doesn't consist of 28 other Golden States. It's always been about efficient shots: Threes, layups, free throws (and sometimes even midrange shots, too).
By Daryl Morey (2013)The midrange shot definitely gets a bad wrap. If you're taking a hard shot, full speed, not in the direction of the hoop, off the dribble, and shooting it up at the hoop covered, that's gonna be a tough shot, but defenses aren't gonna be able to completely ignore the midrange game because we know that there's circumstances where it's efficient.
On December 16, 2017 Chris Paul in the 4th was one of those circumstances:
By Doomsayer Go To PostHold the fuck up.What does this mean to you, honestly? English is my second language and I want to understand.
Houston averages 43 3 point attempts per game. They shoot 83 field goals per game. They literally shoot more 3's than 2's, but they aren't a 3 or die team? Foh
By IWMTB19 Go To Postwe shoot a lot of threes and are pretty mediocre so when our threes miss, we lose. This is what it means to me. It insinuates a mediocrity and inconsistency the Rockets haven't really shown so far this season, whether they've shot worse than the league-leading Warriors or the lowly Lakers.
The other interpretation I can understand is that the team would rather die than take something that wasn't a 3. It makes me think they'd rather chuck up contested fadeaways from deep than take a 2PA, which is objectively false when they rank Top 5 in FGM/G in the restricted area.
So if they can still win when their 3-point shots aren't falling, and they're elite offensively in the restricted area, why do you choose to use a seemingly inaccurate term perpetuated on this forum by a user who shouldn't be throwing stones from his glass house?
Its the same expression as 'live by the sword or die by the sword".
And Turkey is lol with that 4yr prison for insult.

"You have to rebound, you have to defend," Ball says. "If you're passing, it has to be a pass for a score – not just to pass. I think you can affect the game, but in the NBA I've found that you have to score a little bit, just to open it up."
That, however, is something Ball has struggled to do, in volume and in efficiency. Long NBA defenders have exposed weaknesses in Ball that were less apparent in the Pac-12. His deception resides in his ability to thread needles with his passes, not in changing speeds, something at which he doesn't excel and which hurts him as a penetrator. Through Dec. 19, he ranked 134th of 135 in effective field goal percentage in the lane (Marcus Smart), per Second Spectrum.
"He's a bigger Ricky Rubio. … I just don't see how he'll move the needle in terms of wins and losses unless you can get out on the break 50 times a game."

Reading the MCW rookie recap made me realize that the current Sixers roster was built on the corpses of broken players (including Jah and Nerlens).
They had the head of National Security on the payroll but the fake news blew up his spot. Kanter would've been black bagged next to Gulen.

Kaner lucky he didn't goto some small market team. I could see a Turkish retrieval squad infiltrating a small town and stealthily "acquiring" their target while they signal the escape helicopter to get ready to take off for delivery in Turkey.

By reilo Go To PostKibner, do you know wtf TPA is?A dubious stat. I don't know enough about it to make specific critiques but it comes up with a lot of results that I just plain don't agree with or understand.
https://nbamath.com/tpa-model/
After further review, I really don't like this stat. (I'm still not sold on BPM)
[…]
As such, the formula for TPA is rather simple. It’s broken down into two parts—offensive points added (OPA) and defensive points saved (DPS)—and each is calculated in the same vein.
OPA is derived by adjusting offensive box plus/minus (OBPM) to account for the number of possessions the player in question is present for. Similarly, DPS is derived from a similar adjustment of defensive box plus/minus (DBPM) with that same number of possessions. OBPM and DBPM, both calculated by Basketball-Reference.com, estimate the per-100-possessions value of a player on either end of the court.
Add OPA and DPS together, and you have TPA. A score of zero indicates a player was perfectly average (by no means a bad thing for rookies or lifelong end-of-bench players), while anything positive means they were better than an average-level replacement.

That is actually not a terrible idea.
By Randolph Freelander Go To Post(The G league already exists for players that don't want to go to college.)Yes, but I'm all for more avenues that lets players get paid as well as push up wages for those in alternative leagues.

I get it. Low pay in the G-league doesn't move the needle much, but it exists and still isn't used for high level kids. If they can get into school and satisfy eligibility requirements, they go to college.
