By DY_nasty Go To Postyal hating but lonzo's played great so farIf Lonzo could actually read his opponents and know that Kemba and MCW are shit defenders he'd take over. He's so mindfucked by what GOOD defenders have done to him he's voluntarily subscribing into Chandler Theory, which is never good for a rookie.
I'm really surprised that his BBall IQ is so narrowly focused.

By DY_nasty Go To Postexposed yourself smhAggressive defender =/= good defender. I supposed Jamal Crawford was a great defender too.
Kemba is a gambler without the length/size to hold his ground. He may not be the lost lamb on skates MCW is, but I'm not calling him good either.
By The Frankman Go To PostAggressive defender =/= good defender. I supposed Jamal Crawford was a great defender too.kemba's not even aggressive on defense lol. how are you aggressively one of the top guards at drawing charges in the league?
his only deficiency comes from the obvious size advantage - the only people that really abuse him are the guys who consistently push that against him. kemba, mkg, marvin, and zeller playing all the defense for the team is what allows other guys to poach numbers on that side of the ball (dwight, batum, lamb, etc)

I have seen Kemba since college. I may not watch him every game like you do since he's been at Charlotte, but his awareness on ball and off ball is spotty at best. I will say he tries and that's half the battle, but he's not what I call a good defender. If your assertion is that Kemba is a great defender because he draws charges, that's not too far away from "LeBron is a great defender because he gets chasedown blocks".
Also my whole contention is that Ball doesn't realize he can go at Kemba because he locked in a prison of his own choosing.

By DY_nasty Go To Postkemba almost never gambles brehHe might have cut it down since his rookie year and I haven't seen him much this year, but even last year he had that happy feet looking for his opening.
Lakers, knicks and cats fans squawking at each other when Celtic, dub, rocket and cav fans can read is like the poor fighting for the rich

His ability to get to the rim has been so much better. The jumper seems like it’s wanting to start falling more consistently too.

Of course, announcer and director have to ruin it.
Good win tonight. Next Tuesday are the Knicks and after that is the toughest patch of season (Cleveland -Warriors - Houston - Warriors), should be a good test.
By The Frankman Go To PostLonzo had 5 shots by mid 2nd qtr. Didn't take another shot the rest of the game.
Seems to be why the Lakers won.
