Mitchell does the same moves as Harden and shoots every other possession. I can't wait to see Jeff praise him as the greatest jazz ever, soon.

Jeff doesnt hate Harden's shots, he hates the foul baiting.
By Colonel Nasty Go To PostRockets good at basketballI wouldn't call it basketball, but it is effective against basketball.

By Jeff-DSA Go To PostI wouldn't call it basketball, but it is effective against basketball. So petty, lol.
By chandlerparsons Go To PostSo petty, lol.it was a pretty good line though lol
I just can't watch it. It stresses me out to watch that run, chuck, flail, flop, repeat style of play. It's not enjoyable, but I don't question its regular season effectiveness.
By diehard Go To Postit was a pretty good line though lolIt implied that a team relying on a rookie chucking was actual basketball, though, so not really.

It's quite enjoyable. Rockets are top 5 in offense and defense.
Maybe we should strive to play like the excellent Utar Jazz featuring rookie chucker Donovan Mitchell who you can't see is going to be your own mini fake harden. I bet his style remains "enjoyable" during his entire Jazz career
By diehard Go To Postim thinking youre missing the point of the "not basketball" thing.I must admit I have. It just seems like a petty thing haters say when they get rocked by Houston. They take shots that defenses give them, let players (not just stars) shoot their shots and play hard on defense.
Hack-a-whoever was infinitely more 'not basketball' than anything Houston does, but Jeff acts like Harden ran over his cat, lol.

I hate that games often seem to come down to which team is hot from 3. At least seemingly.
3 or die is fine. Harden's flop foul drawing isn't.
And that nasty beard. Won't somebody please do the right thing and shave it while he's asleep. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

By Doomsayer Go To PostMitchell's game is kind of ugly but he's fun to watch.I think his game is super pretty, such a smooth shot.
Mitchell is definitely mini-Harden. He's really impressive.
Look at that beautiful flop by mini-Harden

By diehard Go To PostI think his game is super pretty, such a smooth shot. His shot is really nice for sure. I just think he goes a little too fast sometimes. As a rookie though... damn. Kid is gonna be great.
By Doomsayer Go To PostThe Thunder only have 1 problem: MeloThat's a funny way of spelling Westbrook.
By diehard Go To PostMitchell does kinda look like a mini Harden sometimes lol
uh huh lol
By Smokey Go To Postuh huh lolthis is a great thing, not a bad thing. I hate watching the foul baiting but Harden is still fantastic.
We have never had a rookie (player?) like this, its pretty fun.
By diehard Go To PostAgreed on the hack-a, but the whole "3 or die" mentality to people who have been watching basketball for decades is just not fun.I'd sorta understand if this was a couple of seasons ago and we were killing people with players like Josh Smith and Corey Brewer getting hot from deep, but we've got Anderson and Gordon.
I hate that games often seem to come down to which team is hot from 3. At least seemingly.
If Nene is playing, or if Capela has a match up where he can feast, the team is gonna go inside. You saw it in the first half where CP3 relied on his midrange to get buckets. The team takes what defenses give them. I'm sure if we had talented bigs the likes of AD or Jokic we would play differently.
Houston are 15th in 3P%. It's really less about getting hot, as it is just taking the most efficient shot. It just so happens without 4 All-NBA calibre players, that shot is a 3.
By pilonv1 Go To PostCan only imagine what Jeffrey would have averaged without hand checkingMost stars of that era... Zeke would had been insane
I'm curious if somebody has done a write up on that because I hear that alot. there must be some way to crunch stats to find out how mj would do in the modern reffing climate.
By Hirou00 Go To PostI'm curious if somebody has done a write up on that because I hear that alot. there must be some way to crunch stats to find out how mj would do in the modern reffing climate. No reason to believe he would average less today is there?
It's a hard thing to quantify because the hand checking was done off ball as well, so not only was driving with the ball more difficult but getting open was harder too. Plus they didn't call as many of those soft touch fouls that LeBron gets
By DY_nasty Go To Postman fuck handchecking
Kids today should be made to watch some of those 90s Knicks/Heat playoff series to appreciate what we have now

handchecking was the most bitchmade era of defense in the nba
