I would like to announce that I endorse every word in this piece and actually wish it was more harsh: Tom Thibodeau Should Probably Be Playing More Than Eight Guys in Early December
The deeper you dig into Thibodeau’s new-look roster, the more you understand why he would stick to this strategy. The Wolves starters have a net rating of 6.8, but the bench is a disheartening minus-8. You can argue that a lack of depth is more on the front office than the coaching staff … except, Thibodeau, the team’s president of basketball operations, is in charge there, too.
By rodeoclown Go To PostI would like to announce that I endorse every word in this piece and actually wish it was more harsh: Tom Thibodeau Should Probably Be Playing More Than Eight Guys in Early DecemberOh, uhm, I was just gonna link this and it's an accompanying piece to what you linked, but I am afraid for your health: http://hoopshype.com/2017/12/06/tom-thibodeau-and-timberwolves-players-may-have-chemistry-issues/
The Tyus thing drives me crazy. He plays great ball the entire week Teague is out and gets rewarded with the same exact role that he had before the injury. There's no meritocracy because of Thibs having both GM and coaching duties. Coach Thibs doesn't want GM Thibs to look bad, so he plays his starters 35 minutes a night in an attempt to grind out wins and make it look like the team is progressing, even though Wiggins still sucks, Towns still can't guard anybody and now has fewer touches than ever, and whatever win total they end up at is going to be on the back of Butler killing himself for 40 minutes a game.
I'm just a fan and I roll my eyes at every new story about how Thibs thinks the problem is they aren't trying hard enough, so I can't imagine what the players (that aren't Taj and Butler) think about it. The part where Thibs has now drafted Jimmy and Taj into saying the same things to press probably means the locker room is really divided.

Is there any documented evidence that he talks by himself?

TBH if my coach had me running wind sprints for 40 minutes every night with no touches, I wouldn't play defense either. Not that it totally excuses Towns' effort and bad instincts, but that's not sustainable.
From the article posted above:
The 22-year-old has covered more distance than any other center in the league and it’s not even close. He has recorded 59.5 miles and the next closest is Detroit’s Andre Drummond, who has logged just 51.9 miles.
Yet he averages just 6.1 paint touches per game, which ranks No. 23 among all big men in the league. During the podcast with O’Connor, co-host Chris Vernon speculated this could be the problem for Towns:
“I think you see this a lot with big guys. If you don’t get them involved and you don’t give them touches and they’re just running 94 feet after 94 feet, they can become disengaged. Usually the more they are engaged offensively, the more they will be engaged defensively.”

By HasphatsAnts Go To Poststill doesn't explain how Steven Adams of all people was giving him the blues the other night.Different teams play him differently, but it's really easy to take him out of the game, which is probably the top priority for most opponents, since minimizing Towns gives more touches to much less efficient players like Teague and Wiggins. Beat him up with a physical center and he'll become disengaged. Front him and the Wolves don't know how to run sets to get him the ball.
By rodeoclown Go To PostFront him and the Wolves don't know how to run sets to get him the ball.I for sure thought he would drop 40 on Winslow(Why do we keep playing winslow at the 4 smh), but yeah, Winslow fronted him twice and none of the Wolves can pass because even with Justise fronting him, Towns has like half a foot over him they couldn't get him the ball.
Please think of your eyes before attempting to watch a game involving the Phoenix Suns over the next two to three weeks.

Is this some league conspiracy to get me to support Golden State? Because I can't do it.
I hope Cook finishes with 50 points and 10 assists, and the Warriors to get beat 155-70.
