Bamba has been exceedingly disappointing. It's now a top 3 + Porter and Bridges has a real shot of passing Bamba into that 5 spot.
i mean shit, look at winslow

straight up beating other frontcourts into submission lmao. we're already the most fouled team in the league. guys will be getting IVs on the sideline

Luke would be ok with that.

did you know mcw also does triple doubles? i heard magic likes those
I don't follow college ball but it feels like it goes like this every time:
1. This class is insane 5-10 franchise guys
2. The early lottery is really good
3. This is basically a one man draft
4. Should we trade down?

I mean, it looked for all the world like one. In the end Orlando essentially traded Oladipo for Terrence Ross. That seemed like the level of asset that was being exchanged for the dude on the cover of 2K.
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostEverybody beats the Clips. They destroyed the nuggets too, but they're injured. Still. Mavs need to hit a losing streak
looks like Lavar IS thinking about getting overseas deals for LiAngelo and LaMelo. Likely as a package deal.
If both could ball out together, it might be enough to get both drafted. Probably not high, but drafted is drafted.
Lavar will need to find a club where both guys get instant starting positions though.

This is a pretty decent read: https://fansided.com/2017/12/04/roy-hibbert-search-truth-defensive-stats/

Conclusion
Unquestionably, what you have is a giant player with a narrow skill-set on defense. Roy Hibbert’s primary value, rim protection, was arguably not great enough on its own to push him into “best of the league” status due to his other deficiencies. He was overrated for a short time like a lot of other players due to some great playoff performances at the right time and against the right opponent. In some match-ups, he was quite valuable, but once the league started to change, emphasizing movement and big men being used on the perimeter, and people figured out how to attack him, he became nearly useless.

Does any legit team in the Spanish or Turkish league make that plunge just for the publicity?
And what happens if one of the kids says "actually dad, I want to go play and get a business degree at Cal Berkeley. Fuck that Europe noise"?
It’s been a little wait,” said Leonard, “but I’m feeling pretty healthy right now.”https://sports.yahoo.com/kawhi-leonard-says-hell-back-just-whenever-will-reportedly-week-155644969.html
He’s back to 5-on-5 full-contact work in practice, the final obstacle Popovich presented before Leonard works himself into game shape and rejoins the team. That may come this week — maybe even Friday when the league-leading Boston Celtics arrive
LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball have started to explore options to sign internationally, sources told Yahoo Sports.
LiAngelo and UCLA parted ways officially on Monday, which marked the start of his preparation for his professional basketball career. Harrison Gaines, the representative for LaMelo, 16, and LiAngelo, 19, started initial contact with overseas teams this week, sources told Yahoo Sports.
For LaMelo and LiAngelo, the decision to turn pro means the end of their prospective collegiate careers. LaMelo Ball had previously committed to UCLA.
Oh.
I don't understand this for LiAngelo. If people are saying he wasn't going to be good in D1, how is he going to get play time in a grown man league?

The aesthetics thing is real. The Wolves are not fun to watch at all. Even when the offense is clicking, there's little movement because most of the "sets" start extremely late in the clock (14 seconds or less) and usually devolve into bad isolation tries, which kind of work when Butler has the ball becuase he's not human, but mostly look ugly as hell when it's Wiggins/Towns/Crawford launching awful jumpers.
There are a lot of times when I think how much better off they'd be if Mitchell was coaching them. They still wouldn't play defense, but at least they would try to run plays in the fourth. Also, Smitch was much better at designing out of bounds sets, something they could really use in all these close games.
I don't know, the league has just passed Thibs by. He put together a team with no depth, no shooting, no defense and thinks he can will them to the WCF by screaming at them to try harder. He's not so much a basketball coach as a shitty motivational speaker.

I'd try and get someone young from the w's, spurs or even houston's coaching staff. those types of offenses would work great in minnesota imo

Blaming his teammates, huh? Yea, he's a Ball alright.
I remember hearing speculation that this is actually what UCLA actually wanted when initially benching them indefinitely. Something about the younger brother possibly not being eligible since he’s already making money. So bench the kid indefinitely until Lavar acts and get them out of both headaches
Better question... what overseas coach even wants those two? Does he think basketball coaches overseas are easier to handle than the US ones?

Tim Hardaway Jr. (left leg stress injury) has begun his rehab process and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.Ouch. Could be out a month, maybe more.
The Knicks still aren't saying whether THJ is dealing with a stress reaction or a stress fracture, but the fact that he's going to be re-evaluated in two weeks suggests it's a reaction. Depending on the severity of this injury, he could spend anywhere from 2-6 weeks on the sidelines, so we'll keep digging for any additional info. Damyean Dotson has been starting in his place, but it's Michael Beasley who has benefitted most by taking on most of THJ's usage.
