By diehard Go To PostBut let's all take a moment to remember how KCP turned down $80 Million USD.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIs there any reason why Cousins hasn't signed an extension with the Pels yet? There seems to be no advantage to waiting. He doesn't qualify for vet super max anymore.He can still get more money by signing a free agent contract than an extension, iirc.

Spurs getting the 2 seed with Kawhi at 20% of his power level and getting LaMarcus to play good D and get back to an All Star Level while making Pau look decent on offense would be one of Pop's best coaching seasons
Its hilarious in retrospect how much Pau cried during the Dwight season for being forced to shoot threes. I feel like 90% of the tension that season was Pau crying about the style of play.

I guess the Lakers might be able to pull in Cousins and Paul George? That wouldn't be terrible. Wouldn't win that much, but it could be worse.

George
Ingram
Cousins
Clarkson
Ball
Bench: Nance, Hart, Kuzma, Ennis, Zubac (LA won't pick up Randle's option, KCP is a 1 and done, Lopez can do much better than the vet minimum they could afford to throw at him). For floor spread you'd almost be better off starting Kuzma over Ingram, but that won't happen for obvious reasons.
50+ wins, second round exit until the day Ingram and Ball become All-Star quality players.

We'll get Greg Monroe and JJ Reddick. :(
Getting Cousins and George would be an amazing get, but I really doubt we get both of them. At this point, I'd be surprised if we get one of them.

I don't think we're all that far away from Kuzma being higher in the pecking order than Ingram honestly.
Looking at your list, Lakers might have a better chance at getting Cousins than I thought. NO has some horrific depth issues. As much as playing with Anthony Davis is cool, the team has very few ways to add the depth it needs to make significant improvement.
What sort of moves does LA need to make to have room for two max contracts?

By Mariosalic Go To PostLakers fans treated him like shit in his last few years there. Fuck the Lakers
Some of them did. IMO he's easily one of the least appreciated Lakers ever. Love me some Pau. Was sad to see him go and am Happy he's still performing well.

In this hypothetical, this is what I would start the below and move Clarkson to the bench
PG = Ball
SG = George
SF = Ingram
PF = Kuzma
C = Cousin
That's like spacing^10th power compared to this years rotation.

We probably wouldn't, but if we did it's because we're LA and not in the middle of the desert of Arizona.

Not a lot of winners with cap space. Lakers with Paul George would probably have the best roster out of teams with space tbh.

E`Twaun Moore has been having a career year and is posting basically what they'd hope Kuzma can around 2 guys like that.
AD is already locked in long term. DMC will know the team. The personnel. The venue. And be setup there and working towards long term improvements. If he moves teams, he has to go through a whole new "first year feeling out period". Hope the support players in LAL are just as good as in NOP.
Neither team is exactly loaded with a ton of spare "Assets" to offload and improve roster spots 4 - 8.
So when you add in that AD is better than PG13 ... eh. It would come down to how much cousins is desperate to get back to LA as a place to live vs marginally better situation. DMC doesn't seem like the kind of guy to move for just that.
By diehard Go To PostJrue is better than any Laker currentlyYeah. Arguably.
If you trust on/off, Jrue is the most important player to this Pelicans team. And has been since he's been in NOLA. Not the best player, just the most important/impactful. It's dumb and annoying and I have ideas on why but still don't fully understand.
The Wolves have three players ranked in the top-25 of ESPN's RPM. One of them is Tyus Jones at #21.

Rondo and Jameer should help.
By giririsss Go To PostBecause you've lacked any other primary ball handler that can create for others and not just themselves. Rondo and Jameer should help.I don't have to worry about constant brain-dead decisions with them, but that is the extent of their help. The biggest thing is poor team defense. Fuck, this team needs Solomon Hill back (wtf?). That and for everyone to give a shit on transition defense. If you want to read about the struggles of their transition D, there are two good, recent articles:
http://www.bourbonstreetshots.com/2017/12/20/the-pelicans-defense-lost-in-transition/
http://www.bourbonstreetshots.com/2017/12/29/film-study-pelicans-transition-defense/
Long story short, not enough effort and poor decision making in transition leads to lots and lots of easy points for the opposing team, leading an otherwise average/mediocre defensive team straight to the cellar.
By s y Go To Post10 minutes? Whats the point of coming back?
They're slowly easing him back into the lineup to see how his leg holds up. He hasn't played at all since May after all. If you're Portland you attack him any time he steps on the court, even more than usual.
Is Rose still out? Make the title about that and IT. Cavs went well out of their way to get these dudes and they're sidelined af. I guess IT is slowly coming back but still, hadn't suited up all year? Rose out since Nov 7th? mmmm...
