By Pennywise Go To PostNew coach is Stöger. You can't be serious. I was going to make a joke about signing him now that he's available lol
Who won against Arsenal, but only got 3 points with Cologne.
Wait what's with Lacazette? At a dinner so missed most of the game. Bad game or did Wenger sub him off early again?
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI don't think Martial, Lingard, Rashford & Lukaku would make a good back four.
By Unreal Champ Go To PostSo looks like Everton will finally get a win at Anfield. We had a good run of games though. Also Sturridge seems to be injured. Guy is really made of glass.
Jesus Christ.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostWait what's with Lacazette? At a dinner so missed most of the game. Bad game or did Wenger sub him off early again?Subbed off for Giroo who eventually got the equalizer

By Elchele Go To PostYou can't be serious. I was going to make a joke about signing him now that he's available lolWell, who else would you have picked ?
Labbadia? Magath?
There aren't that many options and Stöger already proved with Cologne that he is a splendid coach that can build a team.
Not his fault that they sold Modeste and got freaking Cordoba as replacement, while also having like 10+ injuries and being forced to play EL.
We'll see how it works out, but the list of options wasn't that big.
Tweet has already been deleted. Carlton Cole posted RIP in sympathy to Max Clifford for those that missed it.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostBest striker signed in the summerIn the Premier League? Probably my pick too.

But Wenger subbing him off often is weird shit.
Lacazette has shown nothing to say he is the best striker signed over Lukaku and Morata. Absolute pen merchant the last few years.

He is subbing him off because he is often not very good, and Giroud comes on and scores.
As much as I didn't want Morata or Lukaku, I certainly would still far prefer either to Lacazette.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostBest striker signed in the summerIn the league he is. Compared with lukaku and Morata.

I would very much have liked him over Marseilles Batshitsuay though. But I would also love Giroud as a second striker over Marseilles.

what is this based on?
By n8 dogg Go To Postwhat is this based on?Pele's chubness when watching them play.
By n8 dogg Go To PostLacazette has shown nothing to say he is the best striker signed over Lukaku and Morata. Absolute pen merchant the last few years.I know you love every single step Lukaku takes but saying Laca has shown nothing is just wrong.
On United or Chelsea hed be miles better than Lukaku and Morata. He's unlucky he's at Arsenal, but imo even so he has been the better striker from the 3 in the league.

He has shown nothing this season to suggest at all he should be ahead of those two.
By n8 dogg Go To Postwhat is this based on?His influence on our game, goals scored.
He has impressed me a lot. Hes a better finisher than the other two, has good close control, decent hold up play.
Shame hes playing for a non existent manager.
By Pennywise Go To PostWell, who else would you have picked ?surely a youth coach is a better bet than someone who got fired for not being able to win a single match in bundesliga this season
Labbadia? Magath?

Not like this.
You should know Sam's game by now. Especially against bigger teams.

He had a great season last year and got them into Europe. How is a youth coach with no experience better than that?

Influence has seemed fairly negligible to me. Did genuinely fuck all today all game. Can't work against deep defences like Giroud does. I like him enough, but Lukaku and Morata have had better seasons so far, and both of their seasons have been heavily flawed.
By Pennywise Go To PostWell, who else would you have picked ?if you guys get Nagelsmann next season I'm going to get really pissed.
Labbadia? Magath?

on the other hand he needs experience with a top tier team.
By Elchele Go To Postsurely a youth coach is a better bet than someone who got fired for not being able to win a single match in bundesliga this seasonFor the reasons I explained above.
And no, we lost all of our decent youth coaches.
David Wagner is at Huddersfield, Daniel Farke in Norwich and Hannes Wolf at Stuttgart.
The guys that came this summer just aren't ready or have their own problems (U19). This was the best possible solution apart from getting a shit coach like Labbadia,Magath or the likes.
By spidye Go To Postif you guys get Nagelsmann next season I'm going to get really pissed.Might be the case or might not be the case. From what I could gather, Dortmund prefers to get Wolf due his bounds to Dortmund, but it's just his first season in senior footy.

Nagelsmann is a good coach, but Dortmund is afraid of him just leaving as soon as Bayern calls and there are plenty of indicators that he would do that (he build a house in Munich for his family, he's from the area, already signalised his interest and so on).

I like him enough, but Lukaku and Morata have had better seasons so far, and both of their seasons have been heavily flawed.Completely disagree with you. Lukaku has been a bit underwhelming so far imo especially with the epl experience that he already has. I expected him to have Salahs number of goals at this point.
Morata has exceeded what i expect hed be able to do in the premier league but i still prefer Laca over these two so far.
Think Stöger is a good choice considering the options available. But also think Watzke and Zorc are on their last lifeline. If Stöger fails, and failure is anything worse than playing CL next year, having brought in an "unsuccessful" coach will be their demise.
By n8 dogg Go To PostHe had a great season last year and got them into Europe. How is a youth coach with no experience better than that?Tuchel, Weinzierl, Nagelsmann, Klopp, Wagner, Streich. All youth coaches who were given a chance. Going around the same shit coaches just because they have experience is stupid.
Hell, even Tedesco is doing good.
